    Defected!

I've since bought a standard honda civic to run around in. Wow, insurance is so cheap when you don't have anything modified. I can drive the car now without any sort of worry. wooho!!

    Defected!

I'm sort of over the whole car scene in general. Still love my gtr though.

    Defected!

Got done for FRP Bonnet, Bonnet Pins, too low, unpadded steering wheel, larger wheels and tyres (rolling radius was bigger than standard). It could have been worse. I guess that's the end of my Gtr days cause I couldn't be bothered trying to stuff around fixing it. The copper told me to get a RWC to clear the defect, so I'll just deregister it and show the copper that it's no longer able to be driven on the street. I guess the whole point is getting cars that is not roadworthy roadworty or off the street. My understanding is that since you have to get an RWC to clear the defect, when you re-register a car you have to get a RWC anyways so either way you need a RWC to get the car on the road again. Actually I was getting sick of my car anyways. You can never really enjoy it as you're always worrying about the police, where you park in the shopping centre, thieves, fools in commodores/falcons, being stereotyped etc etc. Seriously thinking about moving back to Japan. Japanese police rule!

    Defected!

The defects were considered major defects and it was at an RBT too. The copper took one look at my car and I knew it was all over. He said that these are dealt by the courts and that if I get caught in any car within 3 years I will have that car impounded for 48hrs. sheeeezzz. What's wrong with this country? I might aswell move back to Japan, where the police are polite and helpful. Their RBT are so funny, they tell you to blow in their face. I guess I will plead guilty as I was driving an illegally modified car....

    Defected!

My vehicle has been defected and I'm to appear in court next month. I'm gonna de-register the car to clear the defect but can someone tell me what happens in court and do I need a lawyer? Never been to court before but I do watch Judge Judy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Found one.

Honest and helpful guy. A true skyline enthusiast. We need more people in this world like him.

  9. I'm in need of an R32 GTR rear diff. I'm located in Brisbane. If anyone can help, please let me know. Thanks.
  10. Just wondering if you still have front left and right wheel hubs?
  11. How much does it cost you to get someone to press the new bearings in?
  12. Incorrect. On an RB26 if you follow the dipstick down the bottom, the engine number should be located just above.
  13. That can work, as long as you buy the car off him once he gets its landed and registered in Oz. Just remember that after that he can't send another car for a least a year or more depending on how the law changes.
  14. I'm just after an alternator belt or can I buy a similar one from supercheap, autobarn???
  15. Could someone tell me which Nissan Dealerships stock r32 GTR parts in the south west area of brisbane. Thanks.
  16. I also had this type of problem. However, in my situation, the turbos where the culprits. My car drove well and no other problems existed. So it took awhile to figure it out. I only found out by getting a new turbo turbos. The old ones looked fine when removed and the only evidence of any problem was the discolouring on the exhaust blades, dump pipes were fine and no oil was on them either probably due to high exhaust temp burning the oil and hence the smoke. If your turbo is new, I don't have any other suggestions to the coz.
  17. Can someone recommend a company that can comply my personal import r32 gt-r in brisbane around the bowen hills area. Thanks.
  18. Doesn't my car need to have those small plates fitted??? Won't my car still need to have some sort of minimal compliance like changing the seat belts, mirrors?? Basically I want to do everything except getting the car registered.
  19. I'm just waiting for my import application to be approved. My car is a tuned r32 gtr. However, I'm not wanting it get it registered straight away. So what happens after it lands and is cleared from customs???
  20. Just wondering what is different in the compliance process ?? I know there is less involved in a personal import than the other scheme, but would like to know what??? Can a personal import fail?? Thanks, bhappy2cu
  21. Can someone tell me who can comply r32 gtr in Brisbane?? thanks in advance
  22. Can someone tell me which is the correct way to set the ride height: Adjusting the suspension (coilovers) so that the ride height from the center of wheel to fender are the same on the left and right side or making sure that the suspension(coilovers) are the same height and the distance from the center of wheel to fender maybe different??? Thanks
  23. Did you remove the gauges and other accessories before putting it on the boat??? Theft is quite common on these items.
  24. I don't know about the USA but if your an Ozzy and you live in Japan for a year, you can bring your car back to oz as a personal import.
