Turbo timers are there so when you arrive at your destination you can set your car to run for another minute or so to allow the turbo to cool down. It saves you from having to sit in the car waiting for the turbo to cool down before you turn the car off. They're not really that much use on a daily driven car since most of the time you won't be thrashing your car hard enough for it to need a cool down time. This question has probably been answered a million times so next time google is your friend

+1 on the GTR just make sure you get everything checked by someone who knows their skylines. If you don't know anyone like that do a search on here for things to look out for, write em all down and then take the list with you when you go to look at the car. If your buying a modded GTR make sure you ask who did all the modifications and whether they have receipts. When I bought mine I decided to keep away from the modded GTRs purely because at the end of the day you will never know exactly whats been done with the car. I paid a bit more for mine but got a pretty clean late model GTR thats relatively stock. If you are going to use the car as a daily I would recommend you do the same, modded GTRs will always be breaking the next weakest link and you'll be dipping into your pocket more than you would like. Especially if your on any kind of budget. Good luck with the purchase and make sure you post up some pics after you've bought it

If you appeal the suspension you should be allowed to drive during that time because of the pending appeal. I went through this and was allowed to drive up until my court date. Not sure if its any different for a speeding offence that big. The time waiting for the appeal does not count as suspension time so I don't think you will be able to back date the suspension. You'll just have to wear it. Not sure on the license renewal thing but I doubt you will be able to if you are suspended. As people have said above all of these questions will be answered quickly by the RTA, Police etc..

Be very wary of cheap GTRs they are cheap for a reason. It could easily end up being 14k + 10k for a rebuild so make sure you get everything checked by your mechanic. If it has nothing wrong with it then it would be a decent buy.

Go to Final Inspection and check out the forums there. Plenty of detail about techniques, tools and products to use. What I do on my cars is: Wash - Random $15 car wash Dry with Waffle Weave Microfibre Drying towel Clay - Clay Magic Blue Wash Again Dry again Polish with Menzerna Intensive Polish (I think its called) and a Bosch Random orbital with a Blue Edge Pad. I've also got Menzerna Final Finish and a White Edge pad if the swirls aren't too bad. Wax with P21s paste wax Seal with Zaino Z2 This will normally last a good 6 months before it needs doing again Definetly get onto Final Inspection and order some gear from them. All the products they stock are the best I use all microfibre clothes on my car and a microfibre wash mit for washing the car. 1 for body n 1 for wheels. This helps minimise scratches from washing the car Enjoy and hope you get your car looking smick

Can't believe everyone has that much to hate on their skyline lol. The only thing that bothered me in my GTST was the indicator thing and dull headlights. The water on the roof is a good shout too but its only water I can't think of anything that genuinely annoys me in my GTR...

Well it wasn't a previous thing the cops that pulled me over told me THEY had just black flagged me. I don't think I was driving dangerously. I definetly wasn't speeding. The only thing I can think of is I went from the outside lane of a 3 lane carriageway to the inside lane. But I indicated properly each time it wasn't a massive swoop across all lanes effort. Ahwell f**king bullshit I'll just have to be extra extra careful from now on. Any idea how long the black flag lasts?

Morning all, So I was on my way to work this morning and just as I'm about to park the car the Toyota Aurion throws its red n blues on. I couldn't think of what I had done wrong so I pull over and two plain clothes cops get out. They identified themselves and showed me their badges etc. They asked if I knew why I had been pulled over, I said I had no idea and they told me I had been driving erratically . So I'm waiting for the ticket to come and he starts asking me about my driving history n whether I've ever been to court for anything. Now I'm really confused. He takes my license and does the license and rego check, everything is fine as expected. When he comes back he asks me for a contact number? Seriously WTF now. Give him my mobile and he tells me that they have black flagged me. But if he was a traffic cop they would of fined me and probably taken my car! Does anyone know what this means? I assume it is something that will come up during a rego check on the car and give them more reason to pull me over for random breath tests.. Can anyone confirm?

Ok guys I f**ked up when I rev the engine the noise does pick up with the revs, I missed it the first time. So am I safe to assume its just noisy injectors? What needs to be done to make the noise go away? Injector Cleaner or something? Anyway at least it isn't anything really major. Thanks for the help.

Ah ok. I've got 12 month warranty from the dealer so I'll get it sorted when it goes in for the first service. Thanks for the help All the horror stories of blown engines n f**ked turbos has gotten me really paranoid lol. I'll still drop the oil though. I think the dealer had some shite oil in there

doesn't increase with revs but the noise disappears when revved. The noise is only there when on idle.

I think it is the Hydraulic lifters in the head its always had the tapping sound but its louder now. I dunno maybe I'm just being paranoid lol *Edit* Hydraulic lifters are out then lol. The noise is coming from the head though. In the rocker cover.
