  1. I think any chick you pick up because of your car are the ones you wanna stay away from lol. Although hot chicks driving a skyline is probably one of the best things ever
  2. ^^ Is correct. It takes something like 2 weeks for the RTA to process everything but the letter will say your license suspension commenced on this Date xx/xx/xx which will be the date you paid the fine or made the first payment.
  3. Hopefully, providing all goes to plan and pay rises happen when they're supposed to happen, I will be reassessing my situation around January next year. If I can afford to then my plans are: Upgrade R33 GTST to 94 R32 GTR V Spec or just a late model 32. 32 to be driven until it dies at which point I want to do a complete rebuild like Deren on here. Everything stripped out polished, painted & upgraded. Engine rebuild with around 600hp at the treads. I really want to do a stroker kit but not sure yet we'll see After that Ill probably be needing a daily, would love to have an F6 Typhoon Ute as a daily. Ute is useful for me and plenty of power Also like Terri I want to assemble a collection of GTRs. hehe we can all dream eh.
  4. Not sure if it would work in NSW but you could always try appealing it in court. When you choose to go to court you are allowed to continue driving up until the court date so thats a bonus. When you go into court you just plead guilty and pay the fine + a court fee ($70 mine was). The problem with this is the magistrate can increase your fine if he/she wants. Well thats what they threatened me with anyway. Worth a try..
  5. seen it a couple of times around mt gravatt and it looks shit. cracks in the body kit n paint looks like its seen better days. This car has been for sale for ages though. I saw it for sale when I was looking for my first car and that was 2 or more years ago. Its the problem people have when they customise their cars to this extent. its a very niche market.
  6. I was going through the same thing as your friend. I have a steady job and can afford to pay for insurance, rego n etc. But really what I've gathered from the owners on here is if your going to own a gtr and drive it everyday your going to need an Uh-Oh fund of about 10 - 12k that you can drop into the car straight away. This is even more important if your going to buy a cheaper version for 15 - 17k. You might not need so much if you find a nice example with a sensible owner who has done engine rebuild with receipts etc. But these will cost upwards of 22k. The bottomline is there is alot more costs involved than just the purchase price.
  7. ^^ I wouldn't be going with a pair of 17 year old turbos lol. The person who's selling them to you has probably taken them off to put a nice set of brand new GT-SS's on his
  8. Yer unfortunately if you go with the GT-T then you get stuck with the stupid NEO engine cover lol...
  9. ^^^ lol don't explorers come with rear view mirrors I always have my mirrors set to reduce blind spot just like the instructor says and I never drive in anyones blindspot, I'm too busy overtaking to be sitting in someone's blindspot lol. Funny story though. I had a copper sit in my blindspot for about 3 kms on the freeway. I was like wdf? Slowed down to like 95km/h in the left hand lane to try and get him to pass and he just slowed down with me and stayed there.
  10. If its going to be used as a daily driver then I'd suggest a 34 GT-T or even a 33 GTST you can pick up either one for 25k and under and they aren't likely to fall apart either. As long as you allow for adequate servicing costs. New Oil n filter every 5000ks will be about all you'll need to do depending on mods. GTR's are interesting atm. I've been looking at trading up my GTST to a GTR and there are some extremely clean examples getting around for as little as 20k. The problem with that is you should really have an uh-oh fund just incase something lets go on it. I've never owned one but what most will tell you round here is to allow for 10k to do a full engine rebuild :S just in case. The running cost of a GTR is much higher also. Chews fuel and insurance will cost you an arm and a leg. Either way you should decide what the car is going to be used for and what you prefer personally. My advice is to go into a dealer and test drive every car they've got. I test drove a 33 GTS, 33 GTST, 32 GTR, Evo VI and 34 GTT all in one day good fun lol, dealer was a bit disapointed when I didnt buy any of them but it made my decision much easier and you can base it on you own experiences. I really wanted a GTR but at the time I couldn't afford to maintain it so I ended up with my 33 GTST which has been an awesome car to drive every day. Now I've gotten my pay rise and I'm working closer to home I'm looking to buy a GTR If your going looking at skylines on the weekend or something make sure you read the buyers threads on the forums that tell you all the common faults and stuff to look out for on a skyline. Really helpful Good Luck with your purchase when you get it post pics
  11. its the attitude of all drivers in big cars. they think just because they're bigger than everyone else they don't need to watch. I've had people( mainly women in 4wds just drift into my lane on the highway without indicating or anything.
  12. 32 gtrs - 18 - 25k mostly some of the nicer modded ones are into the 30s but not many. 33 gtrs can be had for as little as 24k ranging up into the 30s and the 34 gtrs have dropped down to around 45 - 50k for a non v spec model. v specs are still getting sold from 50 - 60k and then theirs the modified 34s/nur specs etc that are 70k+ Thats what I'm seeing on Carsales.com.au anyway. Definetly a good time to be lookin at 32s there seems to be alot more later modeled ones around 93/94s that are very clean. I'm looking to buy one come the new year fingers crossed. Giant have you got anymore pics of this beast would love to see some more
  13. Pretty sure all GTRs came out with an RB26DETT. Racing Bred 2.6l Double Overhead Cam Electronic Fuel Injected Twin Turbo. So what its saying is you have an RB26DTT. RB26 without electronic fuel injection? Anybody else give us a bit more clarity?
  14. Ok just noticed your in Vic so thats probably where the power/weight comes into it. I don't think we have anything like that in QLD On topic. Buy the car and ride the bus or just drive the shitter for the extra month or so and hope it doesnt die.
  15. I'm confused. If your nearly off your P's that means you got your license before June 2007? i think the new laws came in. So if you got your license before the new laws then why would you not be able to drive a turbo? I've seen alot of topics like this on the forum and I'm rather confused about it. It might be different in other states but as far as I know and I've confirmed this with QLD Transport. If you got your license before the laws banning P platers from owning high powered/turbo cars then the new laws don't apply to you. I am on my 2nd year of P's now but I got my license in September 2006. Have I missed something? Can someone clear this up for me?
  16. I cant wait to get my iphone. I think the main reason people don't like the Iphone is because they just don't understand how good it is and how much potential it has. Im buying it because I enjoy coding and making my own programs so I wanna try out the SDK (Software Development Kit) that comes with the iphone. Don't forget all the other third party software companies that will be developing software for the iphone. In a years time you will be able to do everything on your iphone. 2mp camera doesnt bother me because i dont take a whole lot of photos with my camera on my current phone. If you think its just hype you need to have a read of what this phone is capable of and you will understand n95 doesnt even come close...
  17. great read. Sounds like it would be alot of fun to do something like this. If he ends up selling these as a low volume production I would definetly buy one for a track car
  18. Definetley lol. 10 out 28? threads on the first page of this forum are his...
  19. f**kin love it. I had some guy do the pinky thing to me when I overtook him on the highway. He'd bin sitting in the right hand lane doin 90km/h for the past 10kms. Some people are just retarded...
  20. I would say putting a whole new RB20det would be easier than turboing the rb20de and if your gunna go that far may aswell put in a RB25 or 26. There is too much hastle trying to convert a non turbo to a turbo. Just sell your car and buy a turbo. Saves alot of headaches
  21. Would be faster and cheaper to just keep your car and then buy a gt-t after ur off ur ps. By the time your off your ps r34 gtr prices will have dropped enough n you'll be able to afford one lol
  22. Awesome Thanks very much for being the guinea pig lol. I'll be ordering mine pretty soon i think
  23. Thanks very much for the fast reply. I got onto mark and I'll probably be goin with him. Need to get the clutch fitted first
  24. Hey have we got an update on these. Has anyone actually ordered and received one of these?
  25. I'm about to purchase a power fc for my 33 and I'll need to get it tuned so who does everyone use for tuning and what kind of costs am I looking at? Car is pretty stock. Front mount, exhaust. Looking to up the boost to around 10psi on standard turbo. I'm currently hoarding parts for my turbo upgrade so I can get everything else done at once and save on tuning costs lol Thanks Coxy EDIT: Forgot to add I'm located around the Gold Coast/Brisbane area.
