Not everyone has the same situation as you though. Fine if you can afford to replace your car 2 times over. Insurance is there for the unexpected, saying that accidents only happen so often or they rarely happen etc is pretty silly. Shit happens and if you can't afford to go through lengthy legal battles or replace your car out of your own back pocket then insurance is a reasonable safety net to have.

Yeah I agree courtesy helps. I tend to let people in/avoid merging lanes when I'm on the highway to make it easier for the aforementioned retards. But when we are talking legal disputes everything is to the letter of the law and in this case the law is not on your side. Oh and yeah I made up the percentage. Everyone else says 80 n 90% and nobody mentions anything about bullshit statistics so I thought I'd just throw out a random number. Statistics show that 11/8 people don't understand fractions. Don't think anyone went last week. I had to bail on it with uni assignments piling up. There is a southside meet this week which should have a fair few cars attending. I was thinking if anyone else is interested maybe we can go for a cruise to that meet? We can go out the back way avoid the majority of highways and enjoy some mountain roads then hit up the southside meet grab a feed and head home. Anyone else keen?

There would be much more chaos on the roads if people had to watch out for others merging and give way to them lol. One thing that the majority of people miss out on is you must accelerate to merge. Unfortunately 69% of road users are unable to look for oncoming traffic, accelerate up to the posted speed and merge safely hence we end up with retards stopped at the end of these merging lanes/slip lanes trying to merge from a stop into 80km/hr traffic.

Genius at work lol. I'm off my Ps now but I had a 33 GTST on my P's and traded up to the GTR about a year before I got off them. Savings + Loan for the car and I paid all my insurance/rego/maintenance etc myself. Had an accident in the GTST, hit a kangaroo, and ended up paying 3k for excess with Just Car :S. Expensive cars to insure and maintain but it's worth it I think. EDIT: I got my license before new laws so I was allowed a turbo car. Just incase there is some confusion lol.
