Both my parents ride 1000cc sport bikes and I always find it difficult to keep up. Reverse positions and they never have a problem keeping up with me. As I said well set up cars are the exception rather than the rule.

Busas run 120/70 fronts and 190/50 rears. Say half of that which is 155mm contact patch. Pretty poor but they weigh a fair bit less than 350kg. Closer to 250kg with a full tank. The car will stick to the road better but that doesn't necessarily mean it will get away. Still a fair bit of difference between a low 11 and a low 10. A busa will do 0 - 100 in under 4 secs and 0 - 160 in under 7 seconds. Street cars running that quick are the exception rather than the rule.

I admit generalisations suck balls. How many people with a decent set up car are going to be running from the cops? The majority of them are going to be 33s with china crap coil overs and standard brakes with a set of nankangs. In a perfect world a decent car is going to do alright but in reality its only ever going to end bad. I'd say time lost in corners could more than be made up for with the wicked acceleration. Not going to argue hypotheticals anymore though.

I would wager any of the current crop of supersports bikes would outbrake the majority of road cars that are going to be running from them.
