  1. hahah im not such a pro either, but the best way to launch IMO is to ride the clutch from about 4k rpm rather than dumping at lower rpm...but then it depends on how early u full throttle after u ride it without wheel spinning. i'd like to get more advice on launching techniques as well btw... the rims are AVS so it may of helped me with performance abit but the tires are really cheap crap "roadsters"...i was assuming also that the stock rims are light enuff?
  2. only if it was manual the price wouldn't be that low or it woulda been sold already
  3. no one interested? bump!
  4. btw compression test reads all 150 with only one of them 5 psi difference, so i guess its all good. nothing to worry about
  5. yeah apart from the mis-shift im quite happy with the time i got considering the mods... 60foot time was 2.14 something and it was at 161km/hr... when i got 2.4 something 60 ft time my 1/4 time ended up to be 13.9 ...so 60 foot time is the most important, however i have no idea why ur pulling 14.7 it shouldn't even be that high stock... thats wat non-turbos do BTW my boost doesn't hold either and ends up dropping to around 9 which i was complaining about but im assuming its normal for stock turbo

  7. mate its PROBLEM SOLVED! he just wanted to plumb it back that is why the issue was so big, and now apparently his not going to plumb it back so it will fortunately be a 10 second job finish!
  8. but if the valves did bend or something, would it be noticable when driving normally? Im assuming my clutch slipping when over-rev saved my engine cuz if it didn't slip maybe i woulda blown the engine
  9. yeah didn't get to do the test yet but cuz im so impatient i went for few runs already dropping it into 2nd then rocketing it but the engine didn't blow UP so im guessing its okay... anywayz i been told by UAS to do leak down test and been told by nathan from grey imports to do compression test, hell im so confused on which test to bloody do, might just do both! wat u guys think?
  10. maybe its the engine getting ready to be fired on
  11. thanks for the input guys. well im taking it in for a compression test tomorrow to make sure, but apparently to find out for sure i need to pull apart the head *sigh* shouldn't of went to WSID tonight
  12. okay...well just to make sure i haven't damaged anything what method would be the best to see if i have done any damage? Compression test or leak down test?
  13. oh alright thanks ALOT GUYS! just bloody paranoid after that.... but yeah like u said the tyres did lock up and made me skid~! so does that mean the rev wouldn't of gotten to 10000rpm? or it still would have and kinda stuffed up my pistons u reckon? oh yeah another thing is, when i tried to step on it on 2nd gear after i mis-shifted, the rev went up as if the clutch was slipping, i thought that was the rev limiter kicking in? or is it really just a clutch slip?
  14. yep the gearbox is actually quite fine imo... i didn't have sticky tyres, i only had some low profile "roadster" tyres at rear...and wat do u exactly mean by driveline issues? i shoulda mentioned before, i did smell something badly right after it happened whether its the clutch or brake pads i don't know but there was no smoke or bang noises...
  15. HAHAH nah its alright i wouldn't wanna race ya...u can race the gtr's mate... but the thing is i thought the rev limiter woulda cut it off so i woulda been safe? or am i just lucky the pistons didn't fly out?
  16. hey guys, just went to WSID and was happy with the time i pulled 13.75 with only a cat back and 10 psi boost...HOWEVER, the last run i shifted from 3rd gear redline into 2nd gear, would this of damaged my car engine (such as pistons working too hard?) or would the rev limiter cut it off even if u shifted from 3rd to 2nd??? wat are the possible damages i coulda done??? cuz my car runs alright but just paranoid man
  17. is the power fc for GTT R34? if so ill be interested if its nego.
  18. Well im pretty sure the BOV is the cause of the pops, but i just have no idea why the sound is coming more like near the cat area rather than at the end of the muffler...would gasket leaks or exhaust leaks result in pops also btw? thanks for the reply
  19. sorry mate i don't exactly get wat u mean by hollowing my cat out? do u mean it'll just in the long-run cause a hole or something in the cat?
  20. hey craven u got ur car back now?
  21. hey guys, my car GTT R34 is having constant popping or backfire which im not sure whether this is exactly called backfire. The only reason why im not sure is cuz im so definite that the sound is coming from the front pipe area and not exactly from the end of the muffler. Regardless, as i constantly have this sound every gear change throughout the day, would it cause any issues later in the long-run? Such as molds in the pipe to affect performance in a bad way? Thanks in advanced guys
  22. HEY MATE, if you don't mind me asking who tunes your car in Sydney? >>>Velocity
