I just looked up TBX L283 on google, and it looks like it's probably the model number or something, so I think you're right Thanks for your help adam-__-. Now I've just gotta work out what size to get
-
I stuck my head under the car today and I noticed something raised lettering on the inside of the rim saying: PCD 114.3 ET 40 TBX L283 I know what 'PCD 114.3' means. Is 'ET 40' the offset? And what does the last number mean?

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
jimnastic replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I had a look through this thread and can't find the info I'm after, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me the highest of the following sizes that could fit an R33 GTS-4 with 4-stud wheels without having to make any modifications. Ideally, I'd like to get 18x9.5, but after looking at my current 17x9s, it doesn't seem like theres much room left to go wider at the front. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help 17 x 9 (+35 offset) 17 x 9.5 (+18 offset) 18 x 9.5 (+35 offset) 18 x 9.5 (+18 offset) This is where I'm getting the sizes from- Drifteks -
Are cops allowed to pull you over and look at your engine? Since I got my car, I'm a bit concerned they'll do this and give me crap for having a pod filter. It'd be nice to be able to tell them to get stuffed, but not in those words of course

How much do you want for it? And could you post or PM some pics so I can see what condition it's in? Thanks
-
Hahaha wow don't I feel like an idiot I stuck them back on, so no harm done I guess. Like I said in my previous post, it was stuck on top of another set of weights, so I just stuck them back on there I've stuck my head under the car plenty of times to try to find some indication of what the offset is, and I can't find anything. I'll have another look in the morning, but I'm sure it's not marked anywhere At least now I know what those metal stickers mean
-
This metal sticker seems to be on all of the wheels. One wheel has two of them on it so I pulled one off so I could take the picture. Is this the sticker you were talking about? It has 2 small metal pieces and 2 big ones. The small ones say 5fe and the big ones say 10fe. If this is the thing that tells me the offset, does that mean (2x5)+(2x10)= +30 offset? I'm gonna seem like an idiot if I'm wrong I apologise for the crappy picture. I can't find the real camera, so this was taken with my phone in night mode
-
I've checked all my wheels while they're on the car but I can't see anything. I'll pull a wheel off tomorrow and have a look Thanks for your help
-
I'm not sure about the standard wheel size, as I have 17x9s on it now. I don't know what offset they are but I'm guessing they're probably something in the 30s. They could definately come out at least another 10mm, but I don't know much about offsets. It's the one thing I can't seem to get my head around. I think I'll just take a wheel off and measure it myself sometime At this stage, I think I'll just get them in 17x9 to save myself the trouble of working out if 18x9.5 will fit or not, but I really want the 18s because I love the way big width wheels look from behind

Hey guys, I've been looking into buying some new rims for a while and I think I've finally decided to get these - Koya Drifteks. The reason I picked these is because they are the best looking 4-stud wheels I can find, and they're reasonably cheap Now I just need to know: 1. Which offset fits best on a GTS? +18 or +35? 2. Will my car fit 9.5" width wheels? 3. Are Koya's a decent brand of wheels? Edit: 4. What size tyres are typically fitted to 18x9.5 wheels?

Hey guys, I'm after a Nismo front strut brace to fit an R33 non-turbo. I'd prefer not to spend over $100, as that seems to be around the price they're going for, but I'm having a hard time tracking one down. I'm also looking for the stuff listed in my sig, but I'm more concerned about getting the strut brace first Any help in finding one is appreciated

Buying New Wheels - What Do I Need To Know?
jimnastic replied to jimnastic's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah I noticed that places like Tempe Tyres say "available in 114.3x4 to suit Nissan Silvia", just wasn't sure about if the offsets are the same or not. After having a look around, I think I'm looking for an offset of about 28+ or 30+. As for dish, I'd love to have it, but I know I've got no chance of getting it lol. In the end, I might just have to go for some 17x7s from Tempe, or will that look stupid? I love the look of having wide wheels and I don't want to lose it. I doubt it would be possible to get them custom made to be wider, would it? And if it can be done, it's probably not affordable Edit: I found these on the Tempe Tyres website. 17x7, but they look seckshual http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_clos...mp;part_no=1176 -
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying some new wheels for my car, a '94 R33 GTS-4 non-turbo (4 stud ), but I haven't got a clue where to begin. This car being my first car, I'm still learning everything, and the more I look into it, the harder it seems to be to get my head around it all, so here are some questions I hope I can get an answer to 1. I'd like to get wheels the exact same size as my current ones, which are 17x9 114.3x4 with tyres 235/45ZR17. I'm having a lot of trouble finding any wheel brands that do this particular setup, so can anyone recommend anywhere around sydney that stocks or supplies wheels of this size? Even better would be somewhere on the net that I could buy from. 2. If I cant find any 17x9 wheels, I may consider going to 18x9. Will the bigger diameter have any negative side effects on the car? E.g. the first thing that comes to mind is the speedo; will it be incorrect? And if it is, can it be adjusted to suit? And most importantly, are tyres significantly more expensive at this size? 3. How do I determine the offset of my current wheels? Or, if that's not easy to work out, what offsets will fit my car, and still look good? As far as I know, the lower the offset, the more the wheel comes out. I'd like the wheels to fill the guards out pretty well, but does a low offset affect the handling? And at what offset would I have to start worrying about rubbing the guards? My 4th question was going to be about converting to 5 stud, but if it comes to that, then that's probably a whole other topic that I'd be getting myself into, and I think I'd prefer to wait until I get a new car rather than spend money on that Or, since I have no clue, should I just keep the wheels I've got and stop complaining? Anyway, I know thats a lot of questions for me to ask, and a lot for you to read, so thanks in advance to anyone who makes it through reading it! Edit: One more thing, in your opinion, what colour wheels would match my car (Two-tone Blue+Grey)? I love those dark bronze wheels, but they're probably better suited to white or black. Was thinking of getting them as close to the grey colour that's on the car as I can get, just so I don't have too many colours happening
-
If the air box will fit my car, then I'll definitely buy it off you. Thanks for the offer for the mats but I'm really only after the one to complete the set I already have. If it's not too much trouble, could you PM me some pics of the air box? Thanks
-
Hey guys, I'm looking for a stock air box for a Series 1 R33 GTS-4 non-turbo. I'm not sure if there are any differences between turbo/non-turbo and series 1/2, but if you know for sure that what you've got will fit my car, then let me know! I've included a picture because I'm not sure which parts are stock and which aren't as I bought the car with the filter already installed, so I basically need all the parts needed to return it to stock, including screws, brackets, anything like that I'm also looking for a rear driver's side floor mat that matches the style shown in the picture. Hoping to get one in similar condition to the one pictured Thanks in advance for any help

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying some new wheels, so I wanna get some idea of what I could get for my current rims They're 17" Momo rims from an R33 GTS, with a fairly generous amount of gutter rash thanks to the previous owner, and the tyres are gone. Sounds bad, I know, but they are nice rims, just not exactly what I'd like Anyway, they aren't for sale at the moment, just wanna see what kinda cash I could get for them Can get close up pix if anyone wants them Thanks
-
Yeah thats what I thought it must have been after I had a think about it. Seems so obvious now lol. Anyway, It's gone now, and left me with some nice bare wires for my fog light
-
I noticed this thing wired up to my car when I first got it, but then I had a better look today and I have no idea what it's meant to be. At first I thought it might be the thing that makes the beeping noise when I lock/unlock my car, but then I noticed it's wired up to my foglight and has nothing in it. The guy who last owned the car has done some wierdo stuff to it Anyway, here are some pix. I can get some better ones if needed Thanks
-
I'm in Mudgee lol.. it's in the middle of nowhere, about 3 hours from sydney. Reckon you could post it? Or will you only do pick up? PM me with a price if you are able to post. Thanks!!
-
Thanks, I don't really want to spend that much but I'll keep the offer in mind if I can't get what I'm after
-
Hey guys, pretty much what it says in the title.. I'm looking for a standard R33 gear knob as wanna make my car look as stock as possible Any help would be very much appreciated! Edit: I just thought I'd stick a picture of my current gear knob on here incase some one was interested in a swap. It's only about a month old and cost me about $30. Its the type that has three screws to hold it onto the stock gear lever, but it also came with rubber inserts that can be used as well The reason I wanna get rid of it is because I bought it to replace the crappy gear knob that was in the car when I got it, and it was the only half decent one I could find, but I never really liked the look of it. I can include original packaging and all of the parts it came with, but obviously I don't mind simply paying cash
-
That's a nice exhaust Greg! I'd buy it if I had $690
-
Hey thanks for your help guys, I checked out that link, and although it sounds a lot like the problem I've got, it's not really a metallic noise I'm hearing. It doesn't matter if it's the first time it's been turned on for the day, or if I've been driving round everywhere, it just always does it. But it always goes away once I've driven down the road I'll try sealing the ends with my hands, maybe in the morning when it's cold Otherwise if I can't work it out, I might just get a new exhaust
