Adr Approved Hole Reinforcement Bracket
chestnut replied to chestnut's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
They're an ADR approved item, which are apparently supplied with a certificate so you don't have to get it engineered. If I can't find one, what are you suggesting, did you weld a metal plate around the hole to increase the thickness of the wall? -
Hi guys, hope this is the right place. I couldn't find it covered with the search. I want to buy one of these brackets that reinforce the hole cut for the return leg of the front mount intercooler pipe. Option1Garage don't have these for sale anymore as the company that made them closed down. Does anyone know if there are other company’s making them? Cheers, Haley

Hi, The workshop spraying my r32 gts-4 had to cut off the rear wiper because it was rusted and wouldn't unscrew. I'm not familiar with the unit and what is exactly required but I'm pretty sure I need the whole assembly which is the motor and shaft that the wiper arm attaches to? Cheers, Haley

I'm in Sydney, and prepared to pay for postage. Cheers,

Hey all, More specifically, looking for a Greddy profec-b II. Seen some for around $360...no problem with that. But what alternates are worth looking at in comparison to the profec? I've seen some HDi and blitz ones for sale...but cant find any discussion about them. If anyone's got a profec for sale or advice on the topic - it'd be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Haley

Need the complete thing...a good condition second hand system or new - in syd. I can't find any of those cheap xforce deals. A few months ago they were going on eBay for $680 - and I think there was a group-buy here for $600 or something. Let us know. Cheers,

Does removing the hicas on a gts4 affect the 4wd system at all? I was about to install my lockbar when I was given some information from a mechanic that it may interfere with the 4wd operation. Something on the lines of; the hicas operation being taken into account when calculating the amount of torque to transfer. I thought the only method for this was comparing the front to rear sensors. Anyone know the dealio?

Sorry, for an r32 gts-4. I'll edit the original post with this.

Hey guys, My passenger side switch that controls the window AND the drivers side switch that controls the same window is faulty (r32 gts-4). From what I've seen, looking at the passenger side switch only, I require the switch with the length of cable that leads to a plug - so it's a task of plug'n'play to amend the issue. I'm in Syd - and it's getting really hot in the car without a/c and only one window working Cheers, Haley

I've got an r32 gts-4 (2door) - does this have the same exhaust as a 2door gtst?

Ok, so I need 75w-90 GL4? Are both gts-t and gts-4 boxes GL4? vmx80 + g70 could be the go. Is vmx80 a mineral oil like the VMX-M? What if I used a full synthetic like Castrol Syntrans, could I use G70 with it...or is it not worth it if you go synthetic?

Great, thanks for the info! I've been searching a lot more and finally found this; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t40146.html after searching for 'transfer case oil'. So, the following is considered to be a Redline Shockproof product? MT90 75W90 GL4Gearboxes calling for GL4 90W oil3.78Lts$128 I've been reading the Redline website - they seem to provide information regarding their 'Shockproof' range separately from their MT90 oils. It's all the same synthetic Shockproof oil right? Because I want to get this Redline Shockproof lightweight everyones talking about haha. Last question, is the quality of the ATF important for Transfer cases? Should I get Redline ATF while I'm at it? A lot of people here seem to go for the Nissan Matic-D or Castrol Synthetic Transmax Z (Matic-D approved?)

Hi all - can anyone tell me the type and capacity of gearbox oil my R32 GTS-4 requires? I've been told that my box will take a lot more than a GTS-T and would require an oil suitable for the AWD setup…is that correct? I've searched the forums around this and tried googling with no luck.

Is the oil pressure gauge on the dash accurate in an R32? If so, what are the nominal levels for a rebuilt RB20DET at running temps? Just rebuilt, so it’s really hard to see the oil level on dip

New Bonnet/fender Badges + Front Bar Id
chestnut replied to chestnut's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
It looks it...but does the Type-M bar actually sit lower and have a larger intake than the other 32 front bar? Therefore accommodating a FMIC better? -

Okay cool...I'm happy then, mine hasn't faded or anything as silver badges seem to exist haha. So the front bar I want is an M-Spec/M-type front bar? I guess I'll have to get one from a wreckers then. -

Where's this r32 thread? I've been looking but can't find it. Ok, aside from the badges etc...would I need to go to a wrecker to get one of these front bars with the bottom lip? ^pic in first post.^ -

Adam - my 32 is a gts-4 also...are they meant to be silver? -
Hey guys, I was wondering where I could get new metal badges from. The one on the bonnet's looking a bit tainted from oxidisation (lots of little speckles etc)...and I believe the 'GT' badges on the front guards are meant to be white/red? At the moment mine are just metal in colour - not sure whether they were faded from the sun or what. I noticed there seems to be 2 stock front bars for R32 gts-t's and gts-4's...ones slightly bigger with a bottom lip (as attached)...where can I get one of these? Last question, if I were to get a GTR front bar, would it be considerably lower than the rest of the car if I left the stock side-skirts on etc?
