These shots are if i go to File > open directly on datalogit home screen and on map watch screen
Its default is to open with a some kind of player called ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre but it doesnt open even though because it says unsupported file type
And if i follow the address to where its saved im only seeing the sample maps that come with the software...not the ones i created with the little lock icon on it
The address its tell me is the same as above
Also if i go into File > open i am seeing the maps and the logs that i saved but it has a little lock on the icon.... i can open the logs from there into map watch and maps on to the main screen but again i cant see them if i go outside datalogit
Any luck finding the data Trent?
And could someone pls tell me where can i find the maps and logs that are saved?
If i go to Program files > fc edit universal > maps All i can see is the sample maps that came with the software
What do you guys use to hold the cam gear in place to slacken/ tighten if changing gears alone without taking off the valve covers?
Any tricks?
Chris...youre suppose to slacken the caps from the outside to the inside when removing
General stuff....
Its just that the search function is not picking up anything pre Dec so ALOT of old info is not coming up and trying to change the "find by date" is useless
Excuse me if i haven't seen the answer anywhere but....
Is the search function going to be fixed???
Its a fu#kin pain is the ass when you know there is good info around and cant find it!!!
So let me see if i got this....
The R34 vspec has 3 air temp sensors? One on the plenum, one on the intercooler and one somewhere to tell ambient temp???
You have a pfc right? If so what is the difference between the plenum temp (pfc) and the intercooler temp (mfd) ?
^^^^^
guess you beat me to it!
And thats the thing.....We might be driving along a few degrees retarded when the air temp in fact may be well under 60* because i know i can hold my hand against the cold side of the intercooler.....trying to do that on the plenum is a different story!
I'm checking out the demo version of datalogit and realized that by 60* it has already pulled 3* out of the map so that is why i was concerned about temp being so high
I'm not sure if the default in the pfc has the same setting so probably some one can confirm until next wk or so when my datalogit arrives......Cant wait so Im tinkering from now!
Im seeing up to 60* if driving at a slow pace in traffic and not much lower probably about 55* normal driving so i'm thinking it has to be heat soak off the plenum bearing in mind we only experience 30-35* days here
Since the search engine has gone to shitz i'm forced to start a new thread.....
What you guys think of using a teflon washer, maybe two between the air intake temp sensor and the plenum instead of the copper one it comes with inorder to get a more accurate reading instead of picking up heat transfer from the plenum?
^^^^^
Well technically if the same pfc runs both S1 and S2 then i guess the ramps will be the same unless there is a option to select between the two....someone can confirm this??
I have personally run a S1 with S2 oem ecu so again i guess the afm ramps are the same
I hear what youre saying but i'm sure no one goes through the hassle of checking egts on each cylinder to get it spot on, especially on a stockish to mildly modified 26
Anyone cares to share the numbers for a 26 with stock injectors and plenum just for reference???
Ok we all know about over filling to the hump on a stock sump gtr but whats the abosolute max that can be filled into the stock sump with out causing any problems?
6L?......7L?
How much is too much???
Anyone game?
Since we're on the topic of tuning on the 26......
Does anyone actually add in a little fuel on no. 6 to prevent it from running a little leaner than the rest???
Or you can initialize the unit, turn off the boost control kit, do the 30min idle learn proceedure, make sure the boost is no higher than 10-11psi and drive around not giving it too much of a hard time.....and keep an eye on knock of course
Every car is different...i was able to run 10psi before i started to get it
Air temp will affect it also so if you live where its colder it would be worse
Until then turn down the boost
