Make/Model: R31 Skyline TI Year: 1989 Kilometers: 228,000 Transmission type: Auto Engine: RB30e+T Colour:Dark Blue (Midnight Glow) Modifications: It has a VLT conversion with VLT injectors, ECU and turbo. 3 inch turbo back exhaust and a front mount intercooler. Front suspension is import struts with KYB shocks and King springs. Rear is monroe GT shocks and King springs. Front brakes are R32 GTR slotted discs and calipers with braided lines and standard Nissan GTR pads. Wheels are 17 x 7 inch Performace Lotus with 225x45x17 tyres. Front tyres are almost new. Rears probably 40% tread left. Gearbox is the original S3 auto that was rebuit in May 2004 (198,000kms) at MV Automatics. Fully rebuilt and strengthened with stage 2 shift kit and 2600rpm stall converter. Diff was converted to LSD at 224,00kms Also has a Cheetah alarm. Tinted windows at rear and rear doors but front tint had to be removed for Regency inspection. Interior is standard appart from an Autotechnica steering wheel and a boost guage. Roadworthy Certificate: N/A Registered: Yes, until April Asking Price: $5500 ono Location: Adelaide Contact Details: PM or 0401 688 279 Other Comments: This car was bought in June 2000 with only 128,000kms. Converted to turbo at 190,000kms. Timing belt changed at 205,00kms. It has been serviced regularly but it has only been driven 7000kms in the last 2 years as I bought a Magna as a daily driver and for work plus working 2 jobs has meant I've had no time to drive it. It has just sat in my driveway the last 2 years and has only been driven or started up every few weeks. It is currently making about 130rwkw on 8 psi but could easily be pushed to 160rwkw with a Nistune ECU and a tune. Interior is in pretty good condition with only a couple of the window buttons on the drivers door broken but this is the case with most Ti's. The drivers window is a bit slow going back up but it may just need readjusting/lubrication. Paint is a bit rough in some places.

V35 - Import Or Buy Local?
Mrman replied to Mrman's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Thanks for the comment guys. Some good arguments on both sides. I know there are risks with importing but it's also good to see some importers on here that you know will do the very best they can to buy the best car possible for their customer. I'm going to wait till the end of the year when I'm in a better position to buy. It will give more time to look around and compare models, features etc. George -
I have been considering importing a V35 skyline but I'm not sure if it will be a cheaper option than buying locally. To import I know that you will need another $10,000 - $12,000 on top of the FOB price of the car to get it to your door complied. When I look at the price of cars at the auctions and add the $12,000, it doesn't end up being much cheaper than buying a local car. Is there anyone out there that can share their opinion? P.s I would like a black or white 350gt coupe with the half leather or full leather seats, bose stereo and manual. I would also consider auto. Any other features like sunroof, brembo's etc. would be nice but I'm not fussy. Only really want to spend about 30k on road. This would mean I can only spend about 18-20k on the car which I'm guessing is on the lower end of the market. George

I need a new auto gearbox because mine is slipping badly. The problem is there aren't many performance gearbox places here in Adelaide that i know of. Can anyone recommend a place that has does good auto rebuilds cos I want a decent auto that can handle 200+ rwkw with a 2500 stall converter and a shift kit. Cheers George

A few years ago before it was called sinergy, my cousin was going to buy a silvia from there but he got an RAA inspection and found out that the car he wanted had a bent chassis.

I saw that R34 GTR in Pirie street today.

Try to show that just because you drive an import doesn't mean you are out to be stupid and dangerous. If you can get a letter from your boss saying that you need your license to drive to work, take mum to doctor.....etc.

I don't think so. The car stealing thing was just a fake criminal record they gave him so when they checked up on him they wouldn't think he was a cop and that they could use him to do the robberies. If he knew how to drive he would of double clutched in that race instead of being made fun of by Vin Diesel. Well thats the way i saw it

I don't think you have to remove any aftermarket parts because it is coming into the country as a personal import. But don't quote me on that.

Whats the reason for the difference
Mrman replied to wwe_champion's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Why would you want to change it. If you have an auto diff ratio and your car is manual it means you will have a quicker take off then your friends car. -
I found it annoying that in the first one Paul Walkers character didn't know how to drive a fast car and in the second one he is a highly skilled street racer that does insane shit with his R34.

Is John the one with the beard?

Could someone please give me the address of Boostworx Cheers George

Saw a white R34 with some type of flame design painted on it. Number plate was PHUMAN or something similar.
-
if it was 200 fwkw it would be more believable.
-
That's probably cos the cop got back to the station and couldn't be F*#%$@ doing the paperwork.

Its the same for me but because I drive an R31, there aren't as many that are done up so when you do see another 31 you will get a wave/thumbs up in return.
