  1. gtr's and supras are like rivals! i dont think you should mix and match a rb26 into a toyota supra and vice versa with a supra having an rb26????? thats like putting a typhoon f6 motor in a hsv gts car! my 5c anyways
  2. if coming out of a 33 gtr, i would assume it is compatable for a 32 gtr too?
  3. i have a late 93 gtr which comes out with the same crank out of a 33 gtr
  4. having a set of cams already in my rb26 (tomei type a poncams 260 degree and 9.15mm lift), is it still worth putting in a set of cam gears being aftermarket cams already?
  5. same page though...
  6. definately does make a difference, power is travelling through more parts of the drivetrain hense loss of power there.. power delivery
  7. will have a set off GT2860-10's coming off my car in the next week or so.. good for 400rwkw plus... these are the equivs of the GT-RS's
  8. so i've been told! lol i bought the car and it was built previously with a strengthened bottom end hense the big turbos and i have gone back a couple steps however leaving the turbos for now.. in the next couple weeks ill obviously be taking them off for sale so yeah i most definately will be getting a set of GT-SS's...
  9. therefore, having the 2860-7's would be fair to say that roughly around the 3k mark boost will start to come through... when i drive my car for the first time this week ill let you know when the -10's come on! hope its not too late!
  10. well ur buying parts of a 10 year old car so not sure how much warrant your gonna want, if any! what you see is what you get so just call up, sus it out and if you like you buy! thats it!
  11. lol yeah its a funny one that.. is there much use of them to anyone??
  12. yeah i second that... keen to see images and id of the turbos first.. thanks
  13. well i guess the plan is to have it mild tune with not too much boost going through them.. should be picking it up next week so i guess will see how it goes... however, by the sounds of it i dont think i will be enjoying the drive so far unless i give it hell which i dont like doing, i would rather somehting more responsive throughout the rev range and boost to come on around 3kish... thanks lads
  14. well i bought the car, had it for a while and my rings melted, previous owner rebuilt the bottom end with forged pistons and was very rough with the car.. i have just given it a fresh rebuild with second hand bottom end which is practically brand new with all stock internals apart from the oil pump which i changed to an N1.. therefore i already had everything that i have listed such as injectors, turbos, etc. So really i just want this setup to work...
  15. thanks for the info everyone!
  16. its a late 93 R32 GTR which has the same crank as the R33 GTR... my concern is the turbos!
  17. Hey guys.. just completed a full rebuild for my R32 GTR.. the below listed is what has been done.. At the moment i have a stock ecu and will be going aftermarket, either power fc or vipec etc. The question is, having the stock internals apart from the upgraded oil pump and cams, are these suitable turbos or are they too big and will the motor hold up? - Stock bottom end - N1 oil pump - Garrett GT2860 - 10 turbochargers - Tomei Type A camshafts 260 degree 9.15mm lift - 550cc denso injectors - Higher volume fuel pump - Larger FMIC Thanks guys
  18. purchase, install and tune power fc.... roughly looking at $1500 purchase, install and tune vipec... roughly $1600.... but like what most people have said, some instances have seen an extra 30awkw's from coming from a power fc tune to a vipec tune... for an extra $100 odd that seems to be pretty good! thanks guys helped me heaps, muchly appreciated.. let u know how it goes!
  19. few diffenrent paths which you could go down, however, bang for buck?? hearing great stuff on the Vipec ecu, mixed emotions on power fc and wolf... but when it comes down to how much and what you have paid for which is the better option?? right now, i am leaning towards a power fc and only reason is because they have been around for that long and everyone is using it, and that i hear more people going from one ecu to power fc and hardly people going from power fc to somehting else...... hmmm food for thought!
  20. re-map it.. who can do that, i mean, to put a power fc its going to cost roughly $1800 including install and the tune.. is it worth it? by remaping, what can you gain from this and how much is it usually?
  21. Hey ppl.. just trying to figure out what ecu to go for.. at the moment i have a stock ecu in my 93 R32 GTR and have just finished off rebuilding my motor from top to bottom and it has now received the following: - Stock bottom end - N1 oil pump - Garrett GT2860 - 10 turbochargers - Tomei Type A camshafts 260 degree 9.15mm lift - 550cc denso injectors - Higher volume fuel pump - Larger FMIC Not sure what figures i should be expecting, hopefully someone else out there with a similar setup can tell me what numbers they a pulling at all fours and also advise on what management system i should perhaps go for, which is easy to use and run... Thanks
  22. for an extra $100 odd id say most ppl would prefer brand new... your threads seem to attract quite a bit of conflict tony.. your trying to sell here mate and without even noticing, your frightning potential buyers away.. maybe eaz up a little mate and you might get a quick sale if its priced right! just some food for thought!
  23. hey dush.. whats the reason for the sale?
  24. hey mate i pm'd you.. usually when your dealing with an rb26 head, minor repairs is never usually the case as it really does involve mostly precise machining... plz elaborate in terms of 'minor repairs'... quite keen cheers steven
