the vicroads inspectors would know mate. they would have a list of every car and where the numbers would be so dont stress..i took them almost 45 mins to locate my engine number on my merc van so yea they know were it is -
yeah they are hired to check the vin and engine number. i went though the pits 3 times and didnt have an issue. although the last one was the pulser and it had the dodgyist paint job and the guy look at it funny but let it go as that isnt a rwc issue..but it took me a while to get the rwc. had to change everything back to stock. turbo, exhaust, remove cooler, make it low mount and a heap of shit

when someone hit my old van and wrote off the incurance company paid me out and then i had to go to Vicroads and tell them and show them proof that is was gone then they sent a cheque back for the amount they owed me..so pay it and fix it in the mean time.
