  1. It is a cork gasket. We used some gasket goo on my big block using cork head gaskets. Does anyone have a repair manual for r33's? I dont have 1 and thought someone here might know the correct torque figure for the head bolts.
  2. OK looks like the head gasket is gone on the 33. I have a few questions regarding the fix. When torqueing up the head bolts, what rating do they have to be done to? Do you need to use any gasket goo? It is a cork gasket. Anyone got any advice? Any problems encountered?
  3. Yeah we got a bit of water down there when degreasing the engine.... its just for securities sake. I have the cover but no bolts. Ill send Brycey a msg. Cheers.
  4. I had a my headlight bulb burn out so i figure i may as well replace the lot. They have been replaced with 12v 55w bulbs. OK I installed them, low beam work and high beam work, but when high beam are on, are the low beam bulbs supposed to go out? Secondly, the plastic cover that goes over the coil packs was never installed on my engine, and thus, i need to get bolts to secure the cover. Does anyone know the length and thread details so i can get some? Thanks.
  5. Plugs should be hand tightened, then tighten it another quarter turn with the plug spanner.
  6. OK im new to turbo cars so please bare with me. Today after taking my R33 for a strap, my boost spiked to around 14/15 psi. Its set at 12 psi. I heard backfiring which i assume was the fuel cut and quickly backed off. Im using a turbosmart turbo timer but i havent adjusted it. Its been fine hitting 12 psi since i bought it. Id say it was about 25 degrees outside. Im running a FMIC, bigger turbo, screamer, ECU edit. What do you lot think?
  7. OK my hose is missing too. I liked the idea of the filter but you guys say its a defect. Where exactly does the hose plumb into? The intake? Before/After the turbo?
