  1. as above mate, don't have car back yet.......meant to be around the 3k mark all up......as soon as wholesale sort out the front swaybar and I pick it up ill let you know on the improvement(I am guessing it will be a completely different drive however)
  2. ok so an update.... car was due to be picked up this arvo.........my teins were repaired under warranty so opted for whiteline adj swaybars also.........however I just received a phonecall stating a problem with the new front swaybar......there is only around 3mm clearance between itself and the sump(so ive been told). Wholesale suspension have told me that it sits too close for there liking so they are going to try a gtr swaybar instead. Has anyone else noticed minimal clearance between there swaybar and the sump?? I should mention that I have an rb25 det engine, im not sure if this engine is taller than a 20, but having said that, the 32 did come out with a rb25de, so we both don't understand why there is so little clearance. Any other thoughts?? cheers guys
  3. hi mate I got 32gtst rims......16x6.5 +40......if interested? they have tyres but no tread left.
  4. west suburbs of which city?? what car were they on??
  5. 3 cars now.......how are Pirelli considered for next season??
  6. hows the fuel filter mate, I know you said prob not fuel related but cant hurt to check/replace
  7. are you in Sydney??
  8. if your bmc is leaking fix that for brakes first, the standard brakes really aren't that bad. suspension browse the 2nd hand parts forum, or try import wreckers, ebay etc. should be able to pick up second hand coils cheap-ish(say $700) maybe less I havnt looked for a while. drift/daily........good luck not being defected
  9. +1 hang them on the clothesline, unless they are new wipers might as well replace the blades, so take them off. Like any paint job, the more prep you do the better, I sanded almost all the black off, undercoat, wet/dry sand, undercoat, black, wet/dry sand, black. just a pressure pack can from bunnings, came up nice, and not flaking almost two years after. Im pretty sure the process of powdercoating needs the metal to be bare, and unless you would spend an entire day per wiper sanding (there are fiddly places to sand) I wouldn't bother. For 20-30 bucks, bit of yakka(not hard yakka), you'll get them nice yourself.
  10. mate try superpro or whitline
  11. So an update to my situation, took the car to wholesale suspension at Penrith, and as I thought almost all my bushes are cactus.....I was surprised to see how much movement there actually was in certain links with my shit bushes......definitely didn't feel too bad driving around but it probably was the cause of 54week old tein super streets slightly leaking(3 corners) and my tyres wearing out uneven though. So all new bushes are being installed, where I can adjustable bushes will be fitted. Just have to wait and see if my teins will be repaired under warranty (stupid of me to fit them knowing that I had a problem last year with my old g4 coils all leaking....should of have it checked out by a pro last year before fitting the teins). Hopefully they will repair them under warranty and I can get some adjustable sway bars fitted. The guys down there have been great, though I don't have the car back yet I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks. Ive noticed wholesale suspension being mentioned on the forums a bit and wondering if they do a sau discount (if they do will it only apply to paying members??)
  12. Hi all, So I have a 93 models gtst and have decided to replace bushes etc as being 20years old they would be thrashed out. I would love to do this myself at home but not having a press or access to one makes it hard for me to part with all the labour costs involved. Obviously I would need to pay for alignment. Was thinking I could however buy new parts ie front upper and lower control arms, a-arms, rear upper and lower links etc and fit them all myself without the need for buying new bushes, the need of a press as well as not paying labour. Nismo parts I can get from RHD. I would not know if my current parts are bent in anyway(im the only owner the car has had since japan) but the bushes are pretty much shot. How would you know if your arms etc are bent actually?? Your thoughts on buying nismo parts and replacing myself, or pay someone to fit new bushes to old parts. Cheers Mick
  13. hey mate, i had this dilemma two years ago for my 32. if you ask questions like what turbo and how much kw to expect on these forums you will get heaps of smartarse comments, like 70 for each coilpack etc. seriously though look through the thread relating to turbo upgrades page for rb20det. it will give a good idea as to what supporting mods people have and the power they are making. firslty what other mods does the car already have?? do the little things first if you havnt already turbo back exhaust, kn filter for the standard airbox, fuel pump upgrade, intercooler upgrade and possibly clutch upgrade. if your car has these already your well on your way. secondly, save your arse off!!!! i cant stress this enough, pick a budget.....a large one, not like 1500, and do everything at once, and once only!! remember not as simple as just buying a turbo and sticking it on, you need to consider what you want from the car and your budget (thats what a good tuner/mechanic's first question will be). out of this allow 25-30% for install. so if you have a budget of 10k, 3k of that will be install. if your upgrading the turbo, might as well think about ecu, afm, injectors also and posssibly the use of a good boost controller at the same time. they all work together to achieve what you want. save time, and money tuning it once. thirdly, pick a tuner/mechanic, someone who has worked on skylines before or import nissans, they can answer any questions you have and have knowledge of what works well for your situation. its easier to use one who can install and tune, saves time and money and transporting the vehicle all over the place. fourth, save your arse off!!! being a bit repetitive here, but save your arse off and do it all at once. id allow at this point an additional 10-15% to your budget for overlooked things like new water pump kit, spark plugs, oils, hicas lock etc pm me if you have more questions mate, im happy to help and wont give smartarse comments. this is the way i did it and im extremely happy with the outcome, all hassle free as well. went over my budget by about 1k but it was that 10-15% which i had overlooked. hope this helps you a little mick ps i originally went in thinking i was just going to swap my engine (rb20 with 300000kms on it) to a fresher one, car came back to me with rb25 upgrade and all the bits and pieces - 270 rwkw, very responsive. figured might as well go all out and splash some cash on it, its easy to get the spending bug once you speak to your tuner lol, but glad i did it.
  14. hey mate, well done on keeping the 32 for so long. question about the xt7's. they are 17 inch, but what offset front and rear?? also the taper (concave-ness)? the olds have a place down at greenwell point, maybe i could come check it out??
  15. i ended up getting new oem coilpacks from adam on here (rbceffy25) and installed them two days ago. my car is now running like the day i got it back from the conversion, upgrade and tuning work. its running sweet as now, all the power is back. my old coilpacks had scorch marks so i guess three of them were arcing to the bracket that holds them in place. now that this has been sorted, could i put back in the platinums with a 1.1 gap (heat range 5) and expect it all to be good. i was thinking that with the new coilpacks the gap could be a little larger than the 0.8 that i have the coppers adjusted to.
  16. received and installed new oem coilpacks. car is now running perfectly again. parts took a while but i was communicated with very well about the delays. in the end i got them and car is running great

  17. is this the four door project that ended up in greenish paint?? from maybe 5 years ago??
  18. so i was driving home the other night, coasting at 80kmh, so just feathering the throttle when i noticed my car would pick up then back off, pick up then back off.......by itself without me pressing the pedal further. any ideas??
  19. so mine is a gtr key??? if you want the same blank try rhd
  20. hey mate here is my original key.....r32 gtst
