guys i need help. the problem is with my r33 gtst, it seems to be missing under load or at idle (it seems to have a slight miss at idle). i thought coils but have tested the ohms and they are around the 0.7 mark. i have replaced plugs, tested fuel pressure and flow and they both seem good, i have a 400hp pump so it shuld be good. i havent ruled out the coils as it seems to me like it loosing spark and only dropping 1 cyl. the boost is back to standard as i had a prob with the cops and my adjustable boost valve. any ideas.?

sorry in NSW just thought if the tests are pretty strict id buy a computer and lean it out so theres less emissions, that is if the emissiond are an issue. it might pass ok, i dont think it puts out any more emissions then a standard commy or falcon

last night was pulled over cars engeneered no probs but they spotted udjustable boost controler but didnt fine me and want me to get emissions test done on cooler, i think it totally depends on what copper you get when in this situation. they all have there own rules and try and make new rules up.

last night was pulled over, i thought it was all good cause i been engeneered but they spotted the adjustable boost controller and said that my cooler will need an EPA test done to test the emitions, didnt get a fine but dont want it to happen again so i want to know whats involved for this test. the worst thing is that its only done in 2 places in sydney botany and penrith, just want to know if anybody has done the test done and whats involved, is there a pass or fail. dont want to drive 6 hours to have the car failed. my car has only bolt on mods, exhaust, cooler, pod filter. should i look at a power fc before i do the test.

yeah i know what defects are like i got done a while ago for my exhaust (car was parked but because it was not standard and the copper cauld fit his shoe up the tip i got defected) bov, air filter, and cooler. i fixed the problem, got it engeneered. but hear in coffs harbour be carefull as there is a certain cop who is on a power trip and will defect for anything right down to no H pattern on gear knobs. even a standard skyline gear knob that the H pattern has worn off. you got of light with the fines as ive heard of defects $200 fine + each item and know the new rules you also loose points (NSW), anyway get it engeneered but you may have to go to EPA to get the cooler done + exhaust. 4 post is about 2 years and 2post is about 4-5 years old but to tell the truth havent heard a bad report about this brand hoist, get on to repco for more info on em. -
had a similar thing happen to my 33 it would start but not run after saying every swear word i know (and that is a lot) i found a blown fuse caused by the o2 sensor shorting out. so check ya fuses. hope it helps.

the only way to go is MOLNAR as we have 2, 1 clear floor 2 post and a 4 post with turnplates for alignment gear. i have no drames with my 33 on the 2 post, weve had no trouble with it, they are reasonably priced now under $5000 and a growing bussiness and been around for years. -
ive had my 93 33 for almost 2 years and had not much trouble with it, my a/c compressor shit it self the other day, o2 sesor and thats about it. my line loves fuel but a power fc will fix that, but really they love a good floggin. awesome cars.

hi guys looking at buying a power fc and controller for my r33 series 1 turbo who on the gold coast can you suggest to tune it and any idea of the price.

this is a commen prob with the rb30 injectors as i have found at work, i feel the best way to fix the problem is to either not get them cleaned or just buy a set of new injectors. the price of injectors for rb30 motors have come down a heap in price and i fitted a set the other day, cost around $40 each at trade price. hope the info helps.

info needed on my a/c compressor, i have an r33 and my a/c comp. has shit it self, is there another comp. that is being used or where and how much can i get one for?

with increasing the boost pressure be sure to make sure it still is blowing black diesel smoke out the back on acceleration or you could harm the motor

yes i know the owner his name is martin and he's spent shit loads of money on the car it has the works, big turbo and much more. car still only has standard internals (or so i'm told) it ran my mates 33 at willowbank and i was suprised at what time it ran, thought it would be quicker for the amount of money that has been spent. i think he's still sorting the performance of the car out.

what boost are you guys running my car is popping at 10 psi, will the coils fix it or do i need after market computer?

sorry dude havent sorted the problem yet, am thinking coils, or an after market computer its got me stuffed need to get it to someone whos playing with them all the time. i might sell it yet, that will fix it.

explain a SAFC has any body fitted split fire coils. i have same problem, and series 2 coils are different.

i put ngk in it and gapped them to .8, only misses when at 10psi at 5000rpm on wards, doesnt do it on less boost. can i cut the over boost wire?

still have a miss in my r33 under load at 5000rpm at 10psi. have changed the spark plugs. had it on the dyno with a fuel pressure guage( pressure good flow low) replaced the fuel pump(nippon denso high pressure 400hp pump) im going to clean the coil contacts where they go onto the spark plugs and ill check the little springs in the end of the coils. want to know if anyones heard of boost cuts being as low as 10psi? or maybe a boost sensor on the motor thinking it is over boosting? the knock sensor might be sensing pinging at this certain rev? (havent heard any pinging) any ideas let me know.

by law they cant defect you for neons unless you are driving with them on, you can park and turn them on not a prob.

i believe the fuel pump on the r33 is rising voltage. i may also have a problem with the relay which clicks in at a certain rev to increase the fuel pump flow or pressure, where is this situated and would this be the problem?

what are they worth, trade price

had my car on the dyno the other day, pushed just over 160kw at the treads. problem though, lazy fuel pump, the pressure is good but the flow dropped right down. what is a good replacement fuel pump. should i go internal or rig up an external pump.
