When i did my install.. i fed the larger positive wire all the way to the fuel pump itself. I also upgraded the earth wire from the pump to chassis. the only thing i had to do was increase the hole size's on the pump bracket inside the tank for the new wire to fit in. It's easy to do and should really be done i believe.

its the bushes on the armature.. not a loose nut holding the fan on(it spins in tightening direction). you need some conductive grease on the armature/brushes.. or a whole new setup.

Gear Change Numbers
mtopxsecret6 replied to teng's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
if you ran a switch setup where the lever hits the corresponding switch which illuminates the light to tell you what gear your in.. but.. if you cant work out gear your in by feel.. you should really be driving an auto. -

mtopxsecret6 replied to murrayis's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i thought the floor pans were completly different between the two.. which made it why a gtr box couldnt go int a gtst floorpan car -

Ebay Short Shifter, Don't Buy These:
mtopxsecret6 replied to FLY12N's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i bought one.. for my 32gtst.. works fine.. no installation hassles.. shifts fine.. was a bit noisy.. but made a rubber gasket so to speak.. im not sure who i got it off on ebay.. and it was alot more expensive.. but definately wasnt a known brand item. i love it, and so does everybody else who drives my car. -
sitting close enough to the tv? golly gosh! sit back further...

thats cool, you like your design, but it dosent say race car layout too me. selling plans to make money from it.. thats an idea. I run harnesess for the authentic feel.. its a race seat simmulator correct? besides i have bass engines in my seat to replicate engine noise car damage etc.. so the harnesses help with the feel of those too. and you must agreee.. most of the commerical ones are pretty flimsy and doesnt provide a authentic feel.

i meant on the return line from an external oil cooler..
-
do you think this could be used on lets say.. oil cooler lines? or rubber hoses maybe? im thinking it would.. and would be beneficial aswell.?

there all pretty much crappy looking to be honest.. very much indeed. including the the one repoman made. why dont you put a bit of effort into it and make your own? i have made one.. and about to make another. I have two wheels.. the logitech driving force pro.. and the g25. on the pro i have a gear lever, handbrake, i have alpine bass engines, i run racing harnesess.. its a complete setup.. way better than these other gimmics... build your own.. simple.

i think.. that the gt series were more based on street driven cars.. compared to the other pc games that are full race cars.. you get the idea? So.. in a nutshell people.. of course there going to be different. step back and look at it.... Secondly.. i feel that the gt series is probably the most simulator style race game on the consoles.. compared to the other arcade style games.. i dont know about pc.. i have a thumping games pc sitting next to me.. but dont like using it.. i prefer to run linux than windows.. . Oh.. and i have a full cockpit setup as well. i have two wheels.. the driving force pro and the g25 wheel. ive still yet to build another cockpit for the g25. But basically its a 180sx seat with the driving force pro wheel, with a seperate gear leaver, handbrake, i have alpine bass engines in the seat, race harness, its a full wrap around cockpit like a normal car.. the next one with the g25 i will fibreglass it like an f1 car.. with my bride fixed seat i have lying around. you cant get much more realistic than my setup.. when you finish playing.. you are shaking cause it feels so real.. i practise my drift with it when im not doing it at the track.

im in ipswich. Whre is he located? he has a black 33 doesnt he? I had haltech fly up and install my ecu.. as it was the first of there plug and play computers adn it was done at bob romanos. When the car is running.. it is way more beautiful than the std computer.. but it only runs about a week.. drops a cylinder and wont start again if its switched off.. and the engine is just standard! but anyways.. where in ipswich are they located? thanks

Evening skyrine followers! I have a HAltech e11v2.. that has been tuned by bob romanos several times.. but seems to play up so to speak. Who do you guys reccommend to retune it? CAuse it has a passwaord on the tune maps it will need a full retune to overwrite this. I had two choices from looking at the pfc thread here.. Matty spry at pitts or godziller motorsport i think its called? What sort of ball park figure should i expect for a ground up tune i guess it would be? whats my options? Thanks

Covered Before, But Need A Sure Answer
mtopxsecret6 replied to Tomei_33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
the clutch line is a driect feed to the slave. i popped 3 slaves on my box.. with a button clutch.. but mine never made squeaky noisy then died as your situation. mine squeaks.. but thats from tthe spring aournd the pushrod that goes into the master cylinder. grease will fix that up. -
Ok. If your fan blower is playing up.. ie intermittantly working.. or not working at all.. and you can hear the high load relay switch on when you hit full speed fan. Or you can tap the motor and the fan starts working.. then this will show you how to fix it. This is for the r32.. gtst or gtr there the same car people.. or the r33 even the 34.. the difference being the location and access to the fan blower in the 33 and the 34. In effect all you doing is removing the blower motor, so if you get that far on the other models you can tag along from that point on this write up. 1st. locate where you glove box is. should be on your dash on the passenger side. Now, if you dont know your car doors from your wheel nuts.. then.. i'd probably not even start this. 2nd. Alright.. lets get stuck into it. Underneath the glove box is two screws which hold it onto a support brace.. remove these screw.. and remove the glove box. Dont try and be a smarty and go lossing all the screws where going to be removing hey.. 3rd. This is what it looks like with the glove box removed.. you can see the support brace.. the side garnish the heater core and the blower motor on the left. 4th. This garnish needs to be removed.. it has 3 screws on it.. one on the door side.. with a garnish clip.. one at the bottom where the glove box was.. and at the top aswell. Now, on the inside is a clip.. reach in and unclip this little sucker.. so you dont break it of your dash. the clip Now with the side garnish gone.. this is what it will look like now. Ok, the support brace has 4 screws holding it. Remove them and the brace. If you get it right, it should look like this. 5th. Ok, there is 3 screws and one electrical plug on the motor. Undo these and the motor with fan will slide downwards and out. Remove from car and it should look simillar to this.. If not.. youve removed the wrong thing. Dont be my surgeon when i go into hospital. Ok, this is where the other model lads can join back in on this expedition.. thats right.. you 33 and 34 boys and gals.. 6th. now time to pull it apart and fix it. On the back of the motor is two small screws.. remove them. Remove the fan with the 10mm bolt. it has a slot guide.. and may be a bit tight. but it should look like this when done. As you can see by this picture.. it may well be very dirty! Ok there is a small plastic cover.. sealing off the plug guid.. here And the plug looks like this gently remove it. 7th. You now need to reverse the fan and use a brake pad spreader tool or somthing similliar and prise the motor from the plastic housing like so.. the tool.. other than yourself.. The moto is in the very tight.. so slowly does it alright.. no kung fu crap to get it out either alright. Once out it will look like this and this with out the fan attached 8th. There is two screws on the back of the motor.. remove them and the whole assembly comes apart.. looking like this. You will nothice in my photo.. that mine is filthy on the inside.. so this suggests to me that this car was not a 70k old car.. by no means!! Anyways.. time to get in there and clean. I used some turps.. and rag.. and some elbow grease to come up with this result.. Bloody beautiful!! 9th. Now.. this is why your fan blower.. doesnt work!.. look at that just disgraceful!! Ok.. to fix it! You need these tools.. So.. what we are doing here is.. filing away the ridge caused by the wear of the brushes.. and cleaning the pitted area off the commutator. So.. gently with the file.. file the commutator back flat till you get a nice smooth clean surface again.. like this picture.. beautiful! Now.. you would have noticed before you started filling there was groves around the commutator.. and now there probably isnt.. liek the above picture. so with a sharp tool such as a mini file.. or hack saw blade etc.. regrove this slots.. make sure there is no connection between is segment.. it should look something like this.. (not a good picture this one) 10th. Now.. the brushes. THIS IS IMPORTANT!! So focus grasshoppers!! The brushes are a very soft material.. and must be treated with care!! There will be grooves in them.. you need fine sand paper to remove these.. otherwise we will end up where we started in no time! here are the grooves.. Now.. it only took 3 wipes with the sandpaper to remove the groves.. BE GENTLE!! it will look like like this when done properly 11th. Ok.. the overhaul is complete!.. to reassemble. There is two bush bearings in the motor.. that the main shaft rotates in.. i used a little bit of vaseline as a lub in there.. (dont get sidetracked with the vasso like i did..cough) Ok.. if you did it right.. it looks like this again!! Oh!.. all clean and like brand new again!! 12th. Make sure you clean the inside of the plastic housing and fan with soapy water.. and that they are nice and dry. To reinsert the motor.. I turned it upside down and pushed the plastic cover over the motor.. with the motor pushing against a piece of wood. Now replace cleaned fan and bingo!! 13th. OK.. last step.. putting it back into the car. Hopefully you remembered where you got it from out of the car.... Nice new working fan again!
