Mine has this problem as well, does it every now and then just got to give the solinoid a hit and it starts. Havnt got around to putting a new starter motor in yet, can pick up a 2nd hand one for around $50, but probably better off getting it recon'd if its a common problem

Im going to disagree here, Stock LS1 commodore auto i got a little over 500km to a tank, these tanks are around 5L more than a stagea tank. Now add a bunch of performance parts to turn it into an 11 second daily street car and i got 400-450km to a tank... so for fuel economy vs performance... gen3 wins hands down IMO

I agree, I owned a gen3, cammed , histall, 3.9s etc etc and it was the same if not better than fuel on my near standard stagea!

I installed one of these to my stagea the other week as well Brings the car alive, however i find my self running around 8psi now as it stutters at around 4-5k rpm if i have it any higher, hopefully once i get the safc2 in and tuned it will be sorted

1 x RB25 stagea dump pipe and front pipe in 1 VGC - $200 I assume this is an aftermarket item as its all in 1? Do you have any pics and what brand is it? Cheers Grant

looks good chook, did you retain the factory piping in the engine bay from the factory cooler? or was this replaced as well. How much was the kit if you dont mind me asking, I assume it would fit a S1 stagea also.. cheers

Im running 18x8.5 +18 all round on my S1 stagea with 225 tyres Im not sure if theres any spacers etc as I only got the car last week so havnt had a chance to check it out.. but the rear seems to have a wider track than the front, or is this normal.

Hi all from Perth, picked up my Stagea last week and thought id post up here. its a 97 S1, rb25det auto, silver, black leather... Will post up a few pics, feel free to tell me what kit etc is on it as i bought it as is, has dolphin r pinstriping so im assuming its a dolphin kit of some sort. Cheers.

Has anyone else fitted a cooler with both ends on the same side of the cooler? seems alot easier to run piping straight up rather than up and across from the other side from what i can gather

Hi. I have an S1 stagea and just fitted the turbotech boost controller to try and get some more boost out of it. However it seems the more boost i put into it the worse it drives, gauge is showing 10-12psi but the car doesnt seem to move very well, then after about 4500-5000rpm the gauge tapers down to about 7/8psi but the car pulls harder, as in its still doing the factory dual boost settings from what i can feel, but the gauge is showing otherwise .. Is an ecu and tune nessasary for this to work better? Cheers, grant.
