Got a pair of R34 ones if you're interested...
-
Yeah mate, I've got a set but they have a small hole in one of them, maybe 2 or 3mm in diameter which you could easily get welded up. PM me if you're interested in seeing some pics...

R34 Dumps And Passenger Side Headlight For R32 Gtr
full_stick replied to LotusGTR's topic in Wanted to Buy
Mate I've got a set of R34 dumps as I've got an R34 gtr but they've got a small 3mm sort of size hole in them which y ou could easily get welded up. If you're interested in seeing some photos pm me mate... -
Mate i've seen quite a few sets at the jap yahoo auctions for cheap $80 + delivery of course so I wouldn't pay anything near $300 for stock R34 dumps. I've still got mine, the ones with the 3mm hole in them, for that price you could get it welded it up but I don't have the heat shields. Anyway check the auctions mate, you'll find a set for cheap. I'll keep an eye out for ya ok... Ok I've found a set with the heatshields at auctions mate, I'd say I can get it here for $300 so let me know if you're interested ok...

+1 Also wanna know if this will fit an R34 GTR??? The R34's have a calsonic radiator from factory, are these any good? Am I better off just getting an oil cooler? Damn good price for both radiator and oil cooler!!!

R34 Mfd Boost Gauge Reading 0.00 All The Time
full_stick replied to full_stick's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks heaps for that mate! I'm far from being a mechanic but am starting to do a few things here and there myself. Are you able to give me a quick description as to where I'd find the vac hoses in the engine bay. From my very limited mechanical knowledge they're located on the drivers side under the strut bar is that correct? Mechanic also mounted the solenoid unit on the passenger side near the pods and I checked the solenoid unit and both hoses seemed to be on fine but I need to follow them down to the their end so I can check that side as well. I don't really understand how a ebc works in terms of vac hoses/air flow so I'm a little confused. I'm pretty sure it is a vac line as i was boosting it pretty hard when it happened so it sounds logical to me, the internet mechanic haha. -
Last night I was driving quite aggressively home, going through the gears and I noticed that the boost gauge reading was stuck on 0.00. Please keep in mind that this is a digital meter so the needle isn't physically stuck or anything like that. Normally when off boost the MFD will have a negative reading so I had a look at my blitz iColor as that too has a boost gauge and surprisingly it too was stuck at 0.00. Don't want to drive around with no gauge as I've only just had the turbos changed, literally last week, and want to ensure they're running correct boost levels. Any ideas guys?

Beer Baron, I've got an R34 gtr non vspec and was wondering if a similar diff kit exists for the 34??? If so do you know where I could source such an item? Sorry for the thread hijack...

I saw a set of hks hypermax II's really cheap on the jap auctions with only a few thousand k's on them so snapped them up. I've got an R34 gtr (not v-spec) that came with tein suspension when I bought it so I'm going to replace them with the hks items. I really don't know anything about suspension and am not even an internet mechanic so I'm wondering is it worth replacing other items while I'm at it like castor arms and all that sort of stuff??? I'd like to do it all at once to save on labour. If it is what else will I need? Also the factory sway bars with the R34's are they fairly decent? Worth replacing at all? I don't track this car for now, it's just a daily driver but would like to one day. Cheers...

I've got an R34 GTR non-vspec so I don't have the intake and exhaust temp gauges on the MFD. You've mentioned the part number for the exhaust temp sensor. Do I need to purchase a sensor for the intake temp or is there already one there??? If I do would you happen to know what the part number is???

Powerfc With Nismo Afm's Setup Help?
full_stick replied to Mr I Want One!'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey mate, I'm in Darwin also and I've got an R34 GTR too. I just put z32's about two weeks ago and had a lot of problems getting them to work. "noone" is right, take it to Dave at HiTech, he's got the datalogic software so you don't have to purchase it as well as experience building and tuning RB26's. Good Luck mate, by the way what colour is your beast??? -
R31 Nismoid, you talkabout the use of stock cams giving better response where it counts - street and track but I've analysed the dyno results of two very similar setups to mine, both cars using -5's, one with cams and one without, and the vehicle with aftermarket cams seems to have much better power delivery all the way through the rev range. Now I know you mentioned that this response can't be measured on the dyno. I'm just wondering whether you can elaborate a little as these dyno results were really my basis for this discussion. I thought it logical to change cams provided that I'm going to get better power consistently through the rev range.
-
I've also got a R34 gtr, how much oil should be put in at each change? Literature suggests 4.9L, is that enough???
-
I've just had 28060-5's installed in my R34 GTR. The engine has done close to 100,000km so I recently changed the timing belt and did all the other maintenance mods such as spark plugs, ancillary belts, water pump etc. Anyway I want to put in some cams to bring the -5's on song a little earlier in the rev range and as the motor is stock I thought I'd ask what internals can I change while I'm doing it so I don't blow the engine. I don't want to spend too much as I'd like to stroke it one day but just can't afford to at the moment. Just a light rebuild or can I just change a few small things to make the engine a little stronger so there's less chance of it going boom with the -5's... cheers...

Common Power Fc Settings For Rb26
full_stick replied to full_stick's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks heaps for that Paul I'll go through the FAQ and perform those adjustments as suggested. My issue that there isn't a suitable tuner in the remote area in which I live and they only come up say every 3 to 6 months and he's coming this week but my car won't be ready as the injectors and fuel pump are still on the way. So unless I got one of the local mechanics with very little or no experience to tune it then I'm going to have to wait the 3 to 6 months (probably closer to 6) without the car being tuned. So I guess my question is there any more specific settings that are common to my setup with the 2860 -5's that I can configure the power FC with so it will run safely for the next few months until I can get it tuned by a professional??? Or is what I'm asking just not really possible as each car is simply too individual to be using other vehicles settings even with the same engine, turbos, AFM's etc??? -
Common Power Fc Settings For Rb26
full_stick replied to full_stick's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Forgot to add: The power fc is currently tuned to an almost stock setup. When it was initially tuned the car still had stock turbos, injectors, fuel pump, AFMs, air box and cam gears. So the only mods were full exhaust and boost controller I think and it pumped out 255RWKW with maxed out AFMs. The turbos will be fitted next week along with the remainder of the new parts I've acquired. -
I'm on the verge of completing my build, all parts have been purchased and I'm just waiting on delivery of my injectors and fuel pump. Unfortunately I live in a fairly remote place and we don't have the facilities that the larger cities have particularly in regard to getting your vehicle tuned. Anthony Rodriguez will be here some time this week I believe but my parts won't have arrived so I'm missing out on a fantastic opportunity to get my 34 tuned. I'll probably have to wait another six months before he or someone of similar calibre returns. Ok enough background, My build is something that has been done time and time again so I was wondering is there some common power fc settings that I can use in the mean time untill one of the more recognised tuners return to my area??? My build consists of the following: - Nismo 600cc injectors - Nismo fuel pump - Trust adjustable cam gears - 2860-5s x 2 - Blitz EBC - full trust/greddy exhaust including front and dump pipe extention kit and titanium cat back, also no cat. - power fc - Z32 x 2 - Apexi pods - Stock R34 cooler Engine has just received full 100,000k service including all new belts, plugs, water pump, etc but has never been rebuilt so internals are all still stock. Any common power fc settings would be much appreciated...

I actually asked Jesse to purchase it for me and he's the one who bought to my attention that there was only one headlight, not two but as he's been so busy lately and I only saw the headlight the day the auction finished Jesse didn't have a chance to reply. I totally agree, he's a legend and I've purchased quite a few things through him now, great bloke, pleasure doing business with him. So is Tom the owner of nengun???

Bad Hair Dave: The title says headlights, plural, the picture depicted two headlights and they've referred to them as "super rare ones" plural so that was enough to imply that was a set. It does not specify at all that that it's for the right side only. A mate of mine actually sent me the link and thats how I got onto this set so it had obviously fooled him as well. I bet if I had told you, you would have assumed it was a pair, I guarantee it in fact.

Judging by Toms last email, he didn't even read the link/auction page that I'd emailed him before sending his response. Very professional. And for the tenth and last time, yes I understand I f**ked up and its not their fault. I posted this to bring awareness of Nenguns lack of customer service not because I don't believe I should have to pay for the product. Hello ****** Perhaps you could learn Japanese because my English is far better than your ability to understand or read the auctions. Thats a joke. I am sorry to have called you part Rubbish. From your friends opinion I was under the impression that's what the part was, Junk. I have just read the Japanese version and the part is not Rubbish or broken and is in good working order and we have also purchased of the seller before with no problems. So he is not Dodgy. Although the deal is for one headlight not a pair. So once the part arrives we shall be sending it to you asap. I am sorry if I was being Rude. It upsets me when customers do not received their correct items from the auctions. If there is anything else I can do for you. please dont hesitate to contact me. Regards Tom

Have you read the translation in the attached pictures??? I understand it's not their fault but asked if their was something they could do and I got back responses such as: "we shouldn`t have to received your broken rubbish because you didn`t know what was going on"
-
I know this should go elsewhere but I didn't know where else in the forum to put it so mods please move to wherever you believe is appropriate. People need to know how they treat their customers. I understand that its not Nenguns fault but believe their response was quite harsh. Please read from the bottom up as it's an email conversation between nengun and myself. I bought a pair of headlights which turns out to only be one which is not at all what was advertised on the Nengun auctions website and yes I'm aware they're not liable as they are just a remailer for the japanese yahoo auctions but I expected them to be a little more polite in their reponse. No Tom, you’ve misunderstood once again and let me guess English isn’t your first language as the language used in your email is atrocious. To clarify I did email a friend to purchase the product for me. He did not receive my email until after I’d purchased the product through Nengun so I did not read his advice in regard to the seller being “dodgy” or the fact that only one headlight was for sale until after I'd already purchased the product. I asked if there was something you could do, perhaps contact the seller on my behalf or similar as I believe the advertisement was misleading. What was pictured was not in fact for sale. I did not contact Nengun prior to the purchase of the headlights as I only saw it a day before the end of the auction and I had simply nothing to ask, all looked self explanatory. As for “we shouldn’t have to received your broken rubbish” I know what you’re trying to say but it’s definitely not English, maybe you should go back to school and learn a bit more English as you clearly haven’t grasped the language yet. I’ve payed you to receive (not received as you stated) whatever the f*ck I purchased so don’t tell me that you shouldn’t be receiving rubbish as you provide a service of re-mailing, so just re-mail it. As a regular user of your site I will not be using the service again, not because of this issue but your response was simply rude and unprofessional. From: Nengun Performance [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, 9 November 2009 11:07 AM Subject: Re: Auction Complaint... Hello ***** Ok Lets see If I can work this out. You initially asked a friend to buy it for you but he was leaving so you used our service which has no authority what so ever over what the seller is selling but somehow you think thats our fault because of a bad translation which your friend told you any way the deal was dodgy and you still bought it and you didn`t contact us at all prior to the auctions and somehow we are still to blame for your actions at the auctions. I am sorry as we have said there are no cancellation's and we shouldn`t have to received your broken rubbish because you didn`t know what was going on If there is anything else I can do for you. please dont hesitate to contact me. Regards Tom When purchasing wheels and suspension. Choose the freight service Fedex, compare the price to EMS freight and depending where your live the savings difference can be up to a 70% between the 2 services. Hi Nengun, I’ve used your auction feature and had quite a bit of success with it of late but have unfortunately been mislead by the service. I’ve attached a picture of the translated text which you can clearly see is almost impossible to read as the translation is so bad (http://auctions.nengun.com/item/n76797053): A friend of mine lives in Japan so I originally emailed him and asked him to purchase it for me but there was only a day left and he didn’t check his email in time so I took it upon myself to use your service and purchase it myself. He returned my email saying that the seller is “dodgy” and that he is only selling one headlight the right one instead of a pair which was pictured. He said that the pair of products in the picture are not what is for sale, the picture is only a sample. In the translation there is no text that says only one headlight is for sale, the header text “SKYLINE GTR BNR34 ER34HR GENUINE HID XENON HEADLIGHTS” implies that a pair is for sale “headlights” being the plural. The picture also depicted a pair of lights. The only text that might give you some indication that you’re only getting one headlight is the following “The time it is exhibition of the light/write of the right side” but that means absolutely nothing to any normal English speaker. I’ve been mislead and don’t feel like I should have to pay for a product that was falsely described. I paid for a pair of headlights, the pair that was in the yahoo auctions picture, which can no longer be seen as the auction has finished. Now I understand that all the auction sites say no refund so I’d like to know what I can do as really don’t believe I should have to pay for a product that I don’t want as it was falsely portrayed by your company. Now I hope that this is not the case and that I receive a pair which was described and depicted by the Nengun website. Regards, ***** *****

Hi guys, Going to replace my xenon bulbs with new ones and I've read that I can use either d2c's or d2r's. Is this correct, whats the difference if that is the case??? I live in the NT and its almost impossible to get defected so I was thinking about getting 8000K bulbs but my mate said they just don't produce enough light so I was going to get 6000k instead as I've already got a pair of the stock 4300s which I'll use for rego. What do you think 6000's or 8000's???
