  1. OK I've pretty much decided on the Nismos. I've seen two different types, there are the purple top ones that you see on Nengun and then the yahoo auctions have the black ones, is there any difference between the two??? They're both 600cc...
  2. Hi guys, I need new injectors to complete my build. I'm only chasing 350ish AWKW so I'm either going to get the SARD 700s or the Nismo 600s. The nismos are about $800 and the SARDS are just under $600 for a set without shipping or commission. I've heard of people having issues tuning with SARDS, no idea why that would be, I'm no mechanic. Am I wasting my my money if I pay the extra for the nismos are they just a much of a muchness???
  3. Awesome so nothing but good things I've heard about Anthony. I need a set of injectors to complete my build and I need to buy them today so they get here on time. SARD 700's or Nismo 600's is the question??? I've heard that the sards a little more difficult to tune with, whether that's true or not I really don't know. I'd prefer to get the sards as they're a bit cheaper but I'm happy to get the nismos also if it means I get a better tune. I can get the nismos from Japan for just under 800 and the sards for under 600 (without shipping).
  4. Ok some cams may potential give me an additional 50awkw which seems like a good investment to me. What size cams would be most suitable for this setup??? It's my daily driver so plenty of midrange would be nice but I still want to punish every v8 on the streets so a bit of topend wouldn't go astray either so I'm thinking stage 2 hks or JUN 272 in/ex with decent lift. Would these be too aggressive for a street driven daily driver?
  5. Sorry forgot to mention cat has been removed and replaced with a straight pipe, advantages of living in a territory . Would the stock cooler be of some restriction? Would I see any benefit in replacing the cooler with something a little larger and more efficient such as an ARC or Nismo item??? Also would it be of any benefit to replace just the stock cooler piping leaving the stock cooler or am I just wasting my time with pissy little mods...
  6. Hi guys, Anthony Rodriguez the infamous tuner is apparently coming to my small town in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with him tuning their GTR. If so how did you find him? We only have one four wheel dyno in town and they don't let anyone external use it but he's an exception apparently so I might finally get my gtr tuned properly. Also what type of figures can I expect with the following mods on my R34 GTR: SARD 700cc injectors or Nismo 600cc (ordering tomorrow and haven't decided yet) Nismo Fuel pump Power FC 2860 -5's Adjustable cam gears 90mm trust titanium exhaust Trust front/dump extension pipe kit Z32s Stock R34 cooler Blitz i-colour boost controller Apexi super suction kit (pods) Stock bottom end I'm looking for a reliable tune as it's my daily driver and I'm trying to avoid rebuilding the motor for the time being as funds are a little tight at the moment. I'm hoping for a reliable 300AWKW but am not sure whether that is realistic or not. Would cams be very beneficial to my setup?
  7. Took my R34 in for 100,000km service and mechanic blew one of the turbos so I'd say 100,000km is about right...
  8. If they were gold and were a little more reasonably priced I'd be interested. beautiful mags, good luck with the sale mate...
  9. Common guys. Z32's with plugs are like $650 and the super suction kit is about the same so thats $1300 brand new. Make me an offer... Hi Power Silent Exhaust price drop: $500
  10. I have a brand new Apexi super suction kit that I no longer need as well as a pair of second hand Z32's. Super suction kit hasn't been used, I put it on the car then removed it, car hasn't even been turned on with the filters on so they're literally brand new. Z32's come with 2 sets of plugs as I got a pair with the Z32's and the super suction kit has a brand new pair also. I will not split at this stage so please don't ask. $1000 Also have HKS Hi-Power Silent Exhaust suits R34 GTR (not sure about R33s), retails for $1150ish on Nengun, will sell for $600 0416 295 432
  11. Not sure how much effort mate, but it's still for sale and I've got pics if you want let me know...
  12. Mate I've got to rewire my z32's this arvo as I've also just got a super suction kit and was wondering whether you could let me know how you've wired the z32's up. From the literature I've read which was specifically for R32's and I own an R34 the wiring went from left to right ie left wire on stock plug goes to left wire on z32 plug, second from left to second from left etc. Are you able to confirm whether this is the case or not? BTW did you leave your stock snorkel / air intake that went to the stock air box on? Sorry for the hijack...
  13. I've recently upgraded my exhaust and no longer require the HKS Hi Power Silent item that came with the car. It is 85mm all the way through to a 120mm tip, retails on nengun delivered for $1,144.29. Happy to ship at purchasers expense. Pictures from nengun web site: http://www.nengun.com/hks/high-power-exhaust-silent. If you want pics please pm me and I'll be happy to email them. Please PM or alternatively contact me on 0416 295 432. $600 ono...
  14. Alright I finally got it all working, replaced a fuse and set the power fc to vg30 as instructed. Now the car turns on but is blowing a ridiculous amount of smoke. I then swapped the ground wires around and the car still started for about 2 seconds and then turned itself off. put the stock ones back on and it works perfectly no smoke or anything... Also note that I still have one blown turbo and am waiting for the new ones to arrive asap, could this be the cause of all the smoke??? Does anybody know what the stock gtr AFM wiring configuration is??? as I know what the z32 is but just not the stock gtr.
  15. put the stock computer back in, still doesn't start. all the accessories, head unit everything else turns on, car turns over but just won't start, don't know what the go is . Will check fuses now I guess...
  16. I did not disconnect the battery how can I find out whether I shorted out the power fc??? wouldn't I have just blown a fuse??? The car is turning over but the power fc hand controller isn't powering up. I still have the stock computer should I throw this back in and see what happens??? I've still got the stock afm's on there but the car just won't start, turns over but won't actually start. any advice would be much appreciated as its my daily driver...
  17. Just as a test I put the old meters back on and the car still won't start so I'm worried I've seriously stuffed something up. Like I said the power fc hand controller doesn't power up even when I'm attempting to start the car, don't know why either. So I left the super suction kit pipes there and just clamped the stock afm's where the z32's were. It obviously doesn't fit properly but I just wanted to see if the car would start and it doesn't. So I'm assuming the battery is a little flat but that still doesn't explain the power fc issue. Any ideas??? btw still unable to re-configure power fc settings...
  18. Oh I forgot to mention. I haven't changed the power fc setting yet and thought I'd do it once it was all connected. Now the hand controller won't power up, is it possible that the wrong combination of wires has fried my power fc??? Also should the car start off just one AFM??? the meters are second hand, not sure if that has anything to do with it, they look to be in good condition though, mesh in tact, previous owner said he only used it for one dyno run...
  19. I've wired it up, not properly just twisted the wires together for the time being and the car won't start. I must have the wiring wrong or something I really don't know what to do. There is one black thick wire, one thinner black wire with a white stripe, an orange wire and a white wire on the car ie where the standard plug was. The z32 plugs that came with the super suction kit have two black a red and a white but they are in different order to the what the stock plugs were in. I bought a multimeter but just don't know how the f**k to use it could someone quickly explain, dumb question I know but you'll have to forgive me I'm only new to the DIY stuff and by the looks of it I should leave it to the professionals...
  20. Cheers mate much appreciated. Did you leave the stock snorkel/air intake on or did you just remove it? Also did you end up building a custom air box or anything? Do you really need to? I do live in the tropics up north so its ridiculously hot now in the wet season/ build up. Yes the stock AFM's have 4 wires so I'll guess I'll just go buy a cheap and nasty multimeter. I was going to use heatshrink as the z32 wires that come with the kit aren't protected at all and are just bare individual wires. Will the heatshrink melt with the heat of the engine bay or should it be okay... I tell you what was a real bitch was removing the last bolt of the bottom AFM, almost impossible, I ended up breaking some of the plastic off the stock afm so I'll have to glue it back together
  21. Hi guys, I've recently purchased a pair of z32 AFM's and an apexi super suction kit. So I installed it all last night and had a few issues with the install. Unfortunately the instructions are in japanese so I don't know what wires go with what. I obviously have to cut the stock AFM wiring socket to fit the Z32s but don't know which wire matches what so if anyone has the wiring info that would be much appreciated. The other thing is that the brackets really don't fit that well either. Unfortunately my mechanic put the boost controller solenoid where one of the brackets is supposed to go so I might just have to leave it off. The last thing is programming the power fc to accept the use of z32s, could someone please enlighten me as to how to accomplish this. And yes I have searched the forum already but to no avail... Thanks...
  22. I'm curious to know the answer to this too so bump bump. I was actually the one that got Nengun to put it on their site as I was chasing 2530's and they seemed to be discontinued everywhere. Ended up buying 2860 -5's as the price difference was ridiculous...
  23. Finally have the camera back, be adding pics soon if anyone is interested...
  24. Don't mean to hi jack either but I put mine up for sale last week for $600 and not one person pm'd or posted in the thread. I then dropped the price to $500 and still no buyers. Its off an R34 gtr if anyone needs one for an rb26. Again sorry 'bout the hi jack
