  1. Price drop $500. Will put up pics soon, please pm if interested or call/text on 0416 295 432...
  2. For Sale HKS Hi Power Silent cat back exhaust for R34 GTR. I originally bought the car two years ago now and when it was imported from japan it came with this exhaust. I've recently replaced it with a Trust Titanium item so I no longer have any use for it. It is a fantastic system in terms of note and noise volume, being relatively quiet while maintaining a nice deep note and good flow. I achieved 255RWKW with the stock gtr (except for power fc and boost controller). I'll throw some pics up when I can figure out how to. You can for the time being see the unit through the following link to Nengun: http://www.nengun.com/hks/high-power-exhaust-silent With postage to Australia the unit is $1134.29 (to be exact lol). I'm asking for $600 + freight. The system resides in Darwin so I'm almost guaranteed to send it somewhere as there are only like four 34 GTRs up here.
  3. I have some R34 stock dumps and front pipe, if you're interested pm me mate...
  4. Hi guys, Wasn't sure where to post this so please feel free to move it, as everyone knows I've recently had a turbo go on my R34 GTR so I'm up for a new pair at the moment. I've decided on teh Garrett 2860 -5's. Where would be the best place to source such items from??? I live in rural australia so they'll have to be posted to me no matter what...
  5. Moodles $2400 where abouts did you get this price???
  6. BK what brand are your injectors the 660cc ones that your selling??? Also what is the spray pattern, how many km's/how old are they and how much are you asking for??? 20 questions or what LOL...
  7. Like I said I'm looking for something thats going to cover me for the max power of the 2860-5's, will they do the job? I just don't want them to anywhere close to maxing out. As asked before what is everyone with sard 700's using? the single hole version???
  8. Yeah I had a feeling that was the case. I want something a little bigger (than 600's) as I don't want to be upgrading again in the future. I guess the alternative is the sard 700 or 800cc's. After doing some research and reading as much as I can on the forums it seems that the multi hole injectors are better than the singles. On Nengun Sard only have the single hole 700cc's and only the 800's have two holes but half the response time. Do Sard make a 700 multihole injector? or will I have to go with the 800cc. I see a large proportion of people on these forums using the Sard 700's are they single hole version??? Just want to get something that's been proven to be a good product time and time again. My stock injectors and AFM's are already max'd out and the car is only 255rwkw...
  9. The Nismo injectors seem to be the go from what I've read, will the 740cc items fit the stock rail???
  10. How long did you have them in your car for??? How many kms???
  11. r31nismoid I've ordered the apexi z32 super suction kit so I'll be able to use this with the z32's. I'll also be fabricating some sort of custom air box or partition for the pods as well as some cold air induction. If I'm not satisfied I'll upgrade to the ARC airbox or just put the stock one back in. R31Nismoid what would be your choice of turbo? the -9's??? So just to confirm I should be going for the SARD 700cc injectors as they will go straight into the stock fuel rail. What about the time and the fact they are one hole? is this good or bad or what? At a later stage I'd like to change the cams, and I'd like to get something with some decent mid and top end as the stock setup has fantastic midrange but not a much improved top end. Would the tomei poncams be a wise choice for this setup or should I go something a little more aggressive like the hks step2 264's with 10mm lift or similar. I'd need the valve springs but thats not a problem. I did see some Jun cams which seem to have a lot more lift, 10.8mm I believe, would these perform a lot better or would that difference in lift be negligible?
  12. Do I need the rail to fit the aftermarket injectors??? I'm obviously no mechanic...
  13. Hi all, As discussed in another post, I've recently had one of the stock turbos blow so its time for a long awaited turbo upgrade! I really wasn't planning on this (as if anyone does plan for their mechanic to blow a turbo but we'll leave that alone) so I want to achieve a good increase in power with minimal loss of funds. To do this I'm thinking of just doing a few bolt ons for the time being, leaving me room to do a rebuild in the future if need be. So I guess first up is the choice of turbo. I'm pretty confident that the 2860 -5's should accommodate my needs quite nicely. Now some might argue that the -9's are better for this but like I said I'd like to leave the opportunity to rebuild the engine and throw some bigger cams in at a later date and not have to upgrade turbos again to get the most out of it. The car is also a daily driver so anything bigger is really out of the question as it needs to remain comfortable to drive. Just got 100,000km service kit so new water pump, thermostat, timing belt, ancillary belts, spark plugs etc... have all just been done. So as stated I have an R34 GTR with the following basic mods: - trust/greddy split dumps and front pipe - hks cat back exhaust, soon to be replaced with trust/greddy titanium item - apexi power fc - blitz i-colour boost controller - trust/greddy adjustable cam gears - Apexi pods to support z32 AFM are in the mail as I write this Other than that the car is stock as a rock. I'm a complete newbie to all of this and am trying to source all the parts myself to save a few bucks. So heres a list of what I believe I need to complete my bolt on upgrades: - 2860 -5 turbos x 2 - Z32 AFM x 2 - Injectors x 6, what size and brand? I was thinking SARD 700 or 800cc? the 700cc have a time of 0.65 sec and are 1 hole where as the 800cc are 1.1msec and are 2 hole I think. Are they 10.5 or 11mm, the sites don't seem to specify, do I need to match with the fuel rail? Please enlighten me on the subject!!! - Nismo fuel pump - Nismo fuel pressure regulator - HKS fuel rail, what size 11mm or 10.5mm??? Is the factory intercooler good enough for my needs? I do live in a sunnier part of Oz. So what does everyone think of my list, have I missed anything? Are these parts the best choice and best bang for buck?
  14. So if anything the z32's are better as they are larger in diameter and therefore allow for better airflow??? I've spoken to consumer affairs and have been told that I need to take it to another mechanic and get them to basically write a report saying that the original mechanic was at fault. Now this is almost impossible to prove especially in this situation, unless I find a bolt or washer or what have you in the intake then I don't really have much of a chance do I. Real f**cken disappointed. To be honest I'm willing to pay for the turbo's but I'd like him to do the work for free if possible...
  15. "The 2x bosch Z32's and a pair of apexi pods to bolt on will cost about the same as a pair of smaller nismo afm's so the Z32's are obviously the way to go." - bradsm87 Hey mate I've just ordered the apexi pods but just got the standard ones, they haven't been sent by Nengun yet. Should I change the order and get the Z32 model??? Whats the difference anyway??? Is the intake pipe diameter different to suit the different air flow meters??? Are the Nismo AFM much better than Z32's or are they just the same thing. Thanks again guys...
  16. Mate I'll take them, perfect fit for the black 34 GTR!!!
  17. What would the max power I'd be able to get out of some -9's, if I'd done all the required supporting mods? Are they slightly larger than the stock turbo's? I've read their response is equivalent to stock but I unfortunately don't know anyone with them actually on their car. Also why is it that 2530's seem to be a better turbo than the 2860's? I say this because I've read quite a few times that they can generate slightly more power especially in the top end range...
  18. Thanks for that bradsm87. So where would the best place in australia be to source Garrett turbo's??? And also where to soure the Bosch z32's??? Sorry for the newb questions but I just want to clarrify that the GT-SS's, 2860 -7's and N1's are very similar if not equivallent??? So what sort of power would I be looking at with these turbo with the right supporting mods??? And the same goes for 2530's and 2860-5's yeah??? I've seen the turbo graphs for these already so I know they're good for 350ish awkw or there abouts with the right mods of course.
  19. Johnny no I didn't have it dyno tuned at all, the car was strictly in for a 100,000km service, including adjustable cam gears. He even had the nerve to ask me for my old cam gears after he'd blown my turbo. Mr Kotter I'm really looking at the 2530's as from what I've read they can supply the amount of power I'll eventually want from my car which is approximately 350awkw. I pretty much want as much power as I can get without having to rebuild it straight away. I know I'll eventually need to rebuild it but I want to be able to drive around for a few months first. I'm going to go for the 2530's unless I can get something else really cheap, where abouts can I source the kit as I had a look at nengun and they no longer stock it, its discontinued? I have the following engine mods: Trust/Greddy adjustable cam gears Blitz icolor boost controller Apexi pod filters trust/greddy split dumps and front pipe kit trust/greddy titanium cat back apexi power fc (just serviced so new timing belt, water pump, plugs, thermostat etc) What additional mods would be essential to get the 2530's running properly? I was thinking of the following: nismo air flow meters x 2 Sard 800cc injectors aftermarket fuel pump Oil Cooler Oil Catch can (I'm wanting a vent to atmo but I can't find them any ideas???) Fuel pressure regulator???
  20. Hi guys, I took my car into my mechanic a couple of days ago for a major service as I've nearly done 100 000km and he rings me up and says that he suspects he's blown one of the turbos as there is no boost pressure. It still has stock turbo's on it, its pretty standard, just boost controller, power fc, trust dump/front pipe kit and trust titanium cat back (no cat). I have a few questions: As a consumer what are my rights, I've done 40,000 km's with these turbo's and had no problems at all and he drives it 200m and blows a turbo. Is he liable for that? Is there an automotive body that I can contact and find out what rights I have as a consumer cos surely he needs to return the car to me in the same condition that I bought it in right? I asked him how many rev's he was doing when he noticed the immediate drop in power and he got all defensive and said he wasn't strapping it. I'm f**cken furious as he didn't even have the courtesy to apologise and wasn't remorseful in the slightest. The mechanic said that the power fc hand controller was unplugged so he plugged it in while the car was on and it immediately turned the car off. I'm wondering whether he has caused some sort of issue with the computer, possibly reset it, i really don't know. I'm obviously no mechanic, not even an internet mechanic so your advice is much appreciated. Secondly regardless of my rights I need to fix the problem. He suspects its the rear turbo thats gone so it looks like I'm up for new turbo's. I'm thinking along the lines of HKS 2530's, garret 2860 or even if I can get them cheap N1's or GTSS's. If I buy the turbo's alone what other parts do I need? Do I need any gaskets or bolts or whatever? I just really want to get my car back on the road asap. So hypothetically lets say I get HKS 2530's as thats what I really want (but can't really afford) do I need to upgrade the manifolds? Will upgrading the manifolds give me better flow? If anyone has a pair of any of the above mentioned turbo's at a reasonable price please pm me or contact me on 0416 295 432.
  21. Mate I'm interested in the GTSS turbo's but can't pm ya cos I haven't posted more than 10 times yet. How many Km's do you think you've done with those turbo's on the car? I've also got an R34 and am wanting to know whether I need anything else to put them on like gaskets, bolts or whatever? Do they fit perfectly on the stock R34 GTR manifolds or should I upgrade the manifold as well? Any warantee??
  22. I hope they don't take that long with my power fc cos I just ordered it yesterday! Would greenline have the same issues as nengun as they just order on demand direct from apexi?
  23. So is the advantage of getting the super suction kit over the power intake the fact that the super suction uses a hard pipe where as the power intake uses the existing stock pipe??? Sorry bout all the noob questions but I just don't want to get it wrong... Where could I get some exhaust wrap from. I live in the N.T. and we don't have the facilities and resources that larger cities have.
  24. Cheers for the input guys. I probably should start a new thread but what the hell... To complete my breathing mods I'd like to put in some pods and was looking at the apexi super suction kit but I'm not sure which one to get as there is the standard one and the z32 version. I guess my question is in future when I have more power and I'm required to replace my AFM's can I just buy the standard super suction kit and put nismo AFM's in later or would I have to get the z32 version??? I'm trying to avoid upgrading the AFM's straight away as they're quite expensive and not necessary with the current power output. BTW I'm going to go ahead and get the trust dump/front kit...
  25. Cheers for that R31Nismoid. Is this a good dump/front kit or are there better kits on the market? I guess the answer to that question probably lies with my goals for the car... I'm after approx 300awkw for my first stage of mods as I can't afford to do internals yet. I've got a cat back exhaust but everything else is stock. I bought a boost controller yesterday and am waiting for that to arrive and am just about to order a power fc and the dumps/front kit but would greatly appreciate any opinions on the quality of dump/front kit. I've done a bit of research and everyone seems to say that split dumps are the way to go and to stay away from the hks dumps as they are just too short.
