Nope those ones are fine just keep pushing lol You will need to put them on when the swaybar is off the car and maybe use a mallet or similar to give them the push they need

Quick Question About Blocking Bov Off
Bennett replied to barnoon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Fair enough, on boost you will see if it was leaking. Just might stall a bit coming to a stop pressing the clutch coming from higher revs. RB's really dont like it blocked off -
I drove mine the other day when it was like 40degrees and knock on the power fc reached a max of 170 but it was sort of holding it. Not just 1 single spike like normal. And it was when i was in a high gear pushing up a hill but not on boost at all... Hoping its just a coincidence that somethings come loose in the engine bay and is vibrating on the chassis or something. I thought constant knock levels of 100 or so can blow up an engine so does that mean 170 over and over is definately not knock?

Tyres Bridgestone Re55 Semi Slicks

Where are you? -
All of the above and the 3 or so clubs dont really help with that so they are always doing their patrols. But if they have nothing to do and see a skyline drive past they will do a u-bolt quick smart and be up your ass in 2 seconds. As long as your not doing anything wrong and your cars pretty clean looking and not too defectable you should be right. One of the times i got defected in ringwood, they tried to get me for wiring in engine bay not being tied every 30cm and my tyres having no load rating (which they did). And my ride hight because left side of the car was in the gutter so the exhaust was a lot closer to the road so they made me move it into a flat carpark.

Will My Intercooler Be Big Enough?
Bennett replied to andymoocow's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Pretty sure they measure them by how much boost they can take not by how much power.. Obviously you will want to make sure it can flow the air too but it will be plenty big enough piping for that air flow. If my cheap shit chinese core can take 35psi or something round there then your one will take enough boost to make 270 easy. Some one correct me if im wrong though.. Good luck -
Just drop a nice skid. Then you will hear the turbo spool up as loud as its ever going to go

Adam you should be used to the area as your gf lived in donvale right next door. I found that ringwood is better (but not that much more) than nunawading. Was so bad for me living in that area surrounded by warrandyte, doncaster, ringwood and nunawading which all have cops that love to pull over and defect imports. I havent had any trouble at all sinse i moved lol (touch wood). I found ringwood was only really a problem when your driving round after midnight. Usually ok before that and during the day. Very nice looking dog too. Good luck with the whole move.. PS my ex used to live in bayswater and its not that bad compared to springvale lol

Quick Question About Blocking Bov Off
Bennett replied to barnoon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What problem exactly are you trying to diagnose? I think you will find that you will only make more problems for yourself blocking the blow off valve. -
LOL yeah came out pretty good. Ill have a shot at the rest of the stuff when im bored next

Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Well i know that a lot of p'platers get fined for driving 180's with sr's but havent heard of as many skylines getting done even though the get pulled over and hassled about other things a LOT. I myself have a car thats over the power to weight because of the engine conversion to a 25 but no cop has ever noticed even though the vin number starts with rb25... Just all comes down to luck when you get pulled over i guess -
Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah thats what i thought. Apart from the bit that new p's cant modify their car at all. That sux. Sorry i forgot that there are some people that have green p's but got them after july '07. I assumed all new ones were red, so MOST green p's are allowed a cold air intake but only the ones before july 07. Thanks for clearing that up, sorry if i sounded like a know-it-all lol. And yeah i have seen a hell of a lot of r33 and r34 p'platers which i would have thought is just asking for a fine? How do you p'platers go with 33 and 34 turbo models? -
Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Found this on vic roads website: From 1 July 2007, new restrictions on driving high powered vehicles were introduced for probationary licence drivers who obtained their licence from this date. From this date a probationary licence holder cannot drive a vehicle if it has an engine that has been modified to increase its performance. The previous power to weight restrictions will continue to apply for drivers who obtained their probationary licences before 1 July 2007. So how do you get that this means people who got their p's before july 2007 cant have a cold air intake? -
Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
OK then mate please help me understand. You say that new p's are people that got them after that date 1.5 years ago now right? So wouldnt that make them red p's therefore allowing green p's to still modify 1 intake componant? People who got their p's before this date (green p's) have not changed in any way right? Cops always tell me im not allowed more than 1 intake mod.. which would prove that green p's laws havent change? And why would they. That means that every green p with even a slightly modified car would have to sell it now? I dont want to give anyone the wrong info this is just what i have been told by police, vic roads, tuners etc so please answer my questions so i can have a better understanding.. Cheers -

Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Lol why would i? they dont affect me or anyone i know.. Yeah i agree with that So basically no one with red p's is allowed to drive any skyline at all unless it is completely stock? What about highflow panel filters and crap like that? Cant imagine there would be any COMPLETELY unmodified skylines around. -

Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What new p platers arent allowed ANY mods at all??? Are you sure? Considering red p's cant have and turbos then i dont see how a pod filter could possibly be illegal... -
Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
Bennett replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Pods arent illegal.. Its illegal to have 2 intake mods. Eg cooler AND pod. A pod with cold air intake will be fine if you have the stock cooler. -
R32 Gts-t Stalling When Coming To A Stop
Bennett replied to Chris-06R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Anyone who has no blow off valve or a atmo bov on a rb engine is just asking to get this problem -
Depends how experienced you are with playing round in the engine bay. Take the cooler pipes and intake pipes off to check the intake side of the turbo and take the dump pipe off to check out the exhaust side of it. Chances are if your not sure how to get to it then it will take a while. So air intake is louder or more quiet than normal?
