  1. Hmm yeah they seem to have gone up heaps lately. I often see sets go cheap near new in the for sale section. Otherwise send sliding performance (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Splitfire-Coilpacks-Sto-t188698.html) an email and check their prices. Check croydon racing too: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...mp;hl=splitfire Found some for 575 delivered on boost cruising: http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=352091 Or you could get some just jap racing ones for $400!!! So cheap: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=307&page=1 Hope that helps
  2. My leak was between the exhaust manifold and turbo. Sounded like a tractor too. My gasket had completely blown out. Chances are it will be that or the turbo to dump one. Good luck
  3. Been a while since i looked last but ill try find you some links.
  4. Just get new battery terminal clamps. Chop your wires and screw them into the new clamps. Easy
  5. Hey guys. Took photo's today in the rain Fronts are 17 x 8 +40 Rears are 17 x 9 +42 They also come with awesome BBS tyre valves.
  6. PM sent to kurtleyo
  7. Yeah i had some jic's and got rid of them. They were the older model. Now im after the newer monotube ones with the 30 damper settings and base height adjustable. Are they those ones or are they just adjustable by moving the spring?
  8. Is it new? If not, its not cheap. GTR ones are worth less..
  9. Thats normal mate. Hotter air temps always result in higher knock levels. Tune your car on a hot day and you will be sweet
  10. Or you could get splitfires for $500
  11. Well im in if you come to melbourne
  12. DAM!! That will teach me to call instead of leaving a pm lol. Let me know if you decide you dont want them anymore
  13. Where you located? Im interested in: JIC Coilovers w/ helper springs (full set) - $950 What model are they? D-project adjustable Caster rods - $120 Cheers
  14. Mmmm sounds like all tuners should have one of those instead or relying on the pfc ones..
  15. ARC make front mount return flow coolers too. Mate has one and it works great. Return flow coolers generally cost more though
  16. +1 They pick up heaps of noises. Small missfires, general engine noise, vibrations etc etc. My knock jumps round on idle!! So hard to tune it right when you dont know whats knock and whats not.
  17. Hey buddy, do the exhaust yourself. Its easy and will save a bit of money. Get a second hand one off either here or the r31 forums. The r31 forums will give you ALL the info you are after as a lot more of them have 31's than on SAU.
  18. I read a short while ago about some guy who's oil filter relocation kit i think it was, was vibrating against the chassis and it was vibrating at the same frequency that the knock sensor is designed to detect. So something in your engine bay could be loose causing the knock sensor to jump only in a certain rev range. Is your car missfiring? I went through a stage of extremely bad missfire and knock would reach over 100. Otherwise could just be engine noise but if its a quick spike to over 100 then i doubt it very much.
  19. Yeah i guess it should but im not really a fan of stock tunes so i would still suggest a re-tune of the power fc. You may be surprised how many problems a good tune can fix. Also could have something else wrong with the car such as coilpacks or old sparkplugs which are the usual suspects for making rb25's run like shit.
  20. LOL +1. I have an rb25det with a mild steel dump and front pipe with no cat and a big catback exhaust and in the mountains the exhaust glows orange and holds flames for up to 2 seconds like the v8 supercars. Also does quick bright flames and i always think i have been done by a speed camera before realising im in the middle of no-where.
  21. If your not on throttle then it cant be knock
  22. If your drivers side one is orange, ill buy it. Then you can buy a set... Just an idea. PM me if your interested
  23. If the power fc was tuned to counter airleaks and now you have a plenum with no leaks, then a re-tune will fix your problems. Also black smoke is ok, just means the tune is a bit rich, probably stuffed from when you changed the plenum. I recently cracked my intercooler and now it leaks which stuffed my tune the same as yours. Now it blows black smoke too cos its running rich. Its blue smoke that you want to look out for, blue is never good. Hope that made sense. Good luck with the car mate
  24. If you use spacers, use bolt on ones. The spacers that make your wheels fall off are the slip on ones. The bigger the slip on spacer, the less thread there is left for you to bolt your wheels on to.
