  1. Every car has a fuel light. And skyline ones come on very late. I have a 32 and it always comes on after the needle's below empty.
  2. Exactly right.
  3. YAY!! Well done
  4. Take the hose of and get pirtek to match it... Cost less than from nissan
  5. Hey buddy i have the aftermarket hid's fitted but if you just hate the old yellow looking light. Go to autobarn and get the phillips crystal blue globes (make sure you get the right ones to fit your headlights) and they will give you a nice white light thats heaps better than the yellow. Think they are around $50 for a pair.
  6. WOW thats an awesome price. If only they were for a 32!
  7. Yeah mine looks exactly like that and if i can find a nice square one theat fits ill buy it cos yeah i really cant be f**ked. Ill go get one off my mate who runs a stereo shop That would be the smart idea hey? Anyway thanks for all ya help guys.
  8. Thats why you tape the coilpacks and if it fixes the problem, you buy splitfires. Better than buying splitfires first and finding out that your coilpacks werent actually the problem.
  9. I have that problem all the time too. Always get people telling me i have a headlight out but then later i look and they are both on. Must be wiring, ill check it all some time soon...
  10. That happens a lot to skylines. When people install front mount intercoolers and turn up the boost etc the spark is no longer strong enough to jump the gap. You can tape the coilpacks or buy new ones so that the spark cant "arc out" and make sure it jumps the gap to the spark plug tip. Or you can gap the plugs so that the spark doesnt need to jump as far and is therefore less likely to missfire. I would tape coilpacks and buy new cheap copper plugs gapped to .8mm and see what happens.
  11. Hmm. Im not sure exactly of that rule but i know for a fact that there are a lot of cars out there that do not and never have run low beams AND highbeams at the same time. Wats your mechanic like? I have met some who will fail you on anything they can just to make some more money out of you.
  12. Ah how bout the fact that people have melted the headlights from running highs and lows at the same time. Then NONE of the lights will work... And 150 is crap. Do you get that money back if you take the car to him, cos 150 is way too much to wire ur headlights up like he has said. Takes all of 5 mins..
  13. Da spike - Gapping isnt a temporary fix. There is a certain gap that the spark needs to be able to jump accross. If you have to keep gapping them smaller and smaller then yeah coilpacks are getting worse. I would try taping them with electrical take to see if it fixes your problem and if it does, save for splitfires to replace the taped ones. Made myself a coilpack loom today with some wire and plugs. Then put the stock coilpacks in and now its gone back to how it used to be... small annoying missfires. Although my plugs are still at 1.1 from the haltechs so ill put .8's in tommorrow and will just have to put up with a few missfires at higher boost till i sort out why the haltechs werent working properly.
  14. Who told you that? What a load of crap! High beams on skylines are awesome why would they want you to have normal lights on aswell?
  15. Arbess - I have read that thread alreay lol. You had some bad luck too. Funny thing happened today though, some of my wiring came loose and i found it later melted from touching the exhaust lol. Luckily it didnt go through to the copper itself like you had or i would have to fix that too. Da spike - You gap spark plugs with a feeler guage. Little thin bits of measured metal that you slide into the spark gap and make sure its the right gap size. And yeah when you have this tool its easy to do yourself. I found my problem wasnt actually at 5000rpm but more something to do with boost or being under load. I can have my foot on the throttle a tiny bit and still rev to 6500rmp but i can also be at 2000rpm with foot flat and it missfires, infact its not even missfiring anymore, just hesitates really bad and backfires and goes absolutely no where. Although the car is fine for normal driving. So strange... The missfire could be fuel related (you may to rich/lean) but generally missfire problems in rb's are electrical. Hope that helps...
  16. Yeah i know i have too but that ones a genuine...
  17. Hey buddy ill take the stereo surround and gear boot. Where are you located?
  18. And if this was for a 32 i would have bought it already...
  19. Ill deffinately take the gtr grill if DjeMz doesnt buy it. Let me know mate...
  20. Thanks mate guess ill have to borrow some coilpacks i know are working and test them. Anyone got a series 2 r33 coilpack loom for sale as mines all hacked up
  21. Lol i have gapped the all the way from 1.1 to .8 to .6 Nothing works... Only happens when it comes onto boost fairly hard. If i slowely accelerate with no boost then that gear WILL actually rev out. Just hates the boost. Any more ideas guys?
