  1. Trust me... you will know. Will feel like the cars running out of petrol. Just skips beats like you said. You get no power from that cylinder when it skips so it will be real jerky and make some weird popping sounds lol. Best way i can describe it..
  2. Yep you have an ignitor, just leave the coilpack loom connected to the ignitor if you want, it doesnt need to be removed...
  3. So you have thermo fans. Get in your car and warm it up till the fans come on the pull over and have a look in the engine bay to see whats making the noise. Could it not just be the sound of the fans that sounds like a bird? Thermo fans are pretty loud...
  4. AHAHA fair enough. GL with the sale!!
  5. You have any idea what power the other guy was making with this on the 25?
  6. Do you always go on shopping sprees for car floor mats when your 'stone drunk'
  7. Oh dam!! If only you were in melbourne
  8. Ok guys thanks for the info. Now i got a new project lol and more boot space soon.
  9. Are these thermo fans mounted on your radiator? Or the stock air con fan? / Something else...
  10. Yeah just wanna make sure its gonna deffinately fix the problem. I used to have faulty stock coilpacks and they felt different to this when driving. This problem just doesnt feel the same as last time. Maybe ill try find someone with coilpacks i know are working and borrow them to see if it fixes my problem then go buy some splitfires if it does.
  11. Yeah i guess it would be worth it i just dont understand how sometimes its fine and sometimes its really bad. Did you guys get that inconsistency with your rooted coilpacks?
  12. Hey buddy would you happen to have a coilpack loom for sale as well?
  13. Already checked them, their haltech external ones now and they are all firing. Any other ideas?
  14. You wont blow it up if you cut the lines right. The rear half of the pump will be running to the power steering cooler which is a loop of metal pipe at the front of the car.
  15. Jack88 - The box is sealed. I was going to make a new box from scratch. Another sealed one just a tiny bit shorter so it fits. Will have the same volume as before. Zennon - Is your box the rectangle one with all sides straight? Mine is on an angle so one side sits higher and thats the bit that hits.
  16. 1. Remove the intake pipe that goes accross the top of your engine and all the vacuum lines that connect to it. 2. Remove the coilpack cover in between the rocker covers. 3. Unclip the coilpack loom from each coilpack and put it aside. 4. Remove the coilpacks either by uncwrewing each one seperately or by undoing the bolts holding the brackets underneath the coilpacks. 5. Use a spark plug remover on a ratchet to unscrew the plugs and repace with your new pre-gapped plugs. They will be hot if you have been driving. 6. Now work back up the steps and attach everything in the same way you removed it. Hope that helps. Its really easy just dont be afraid to get in there and do it yourself
  17. Hey guys i have spend a lot of time searching for answers to my problem but just cant seem to find anything that works. The car used to missfire randomly a while ago then got worse and kept fouling spark plugs. So i changed to the 'wasted spark' setup. Car still missfired but it was now worse. I cleaned the AAC valve, Checked all my wiring, tried to do a diagnostic to see whats wrong but i dont have any light on my 33 ecu and the dash isnt flashing either. Some times though the missfire goes away for a bit randomly. Then it comes back again. Getting really annoying now. The other night i unplugged the O2 sensor and the car was fine for a while. The started missing again so plugged the sensor back in and it went fine again. Then started missing and now it misses whether its in or not. Today i cleaned the AFM and the car went fine for 15 mins then i tried to turn the boost from stock to 10psi and it started missfiring badly again and couldnt rev out. So i put the boost down to stock and its still running like crap. The missfire is worse under load, when i have my foot down more and when boost is higher. I also have a power fc and it does the same thing with that plugged in. Im all out of ideas guys so i would love anyones help on this as im just so sick of it... Thanks heaps in advance
  18. Hey guys i know this threads a bit old but i have a problem getting my diagnostic results. I have a series 2 rb25det engine in a r32 skyline. So no light on the ECU and i tried the paperclip thing but nothing happened - no flashing lights on the dash. Any help would be great...
  19. Lol heard back from him. PM'd you
  20. Dam!! Was after one of these diffs a week ago. Might still be interested soon. Where abouts are you from?
  21. Did the coilpack loom and ignitor sell?
  22. Took out spark plugs, cleaned them, then put them back in and car ran fine for 30mins and reved right out, then when i was about to change gears it made 3 loud pops and then took off even harder. Was running better than ever for another 15 mins. Then left it idling for 2 mins and runs like s**t again now. missfires under any load at all now. Cant seem to work it out, something must be fouling my sparkplugs...
