Hey mate i have a friend who put a r33 turbo on his rb20. Deffinately wouldnt call it laggy. They gotta be the best value for money upgrade for a rb20 it you have a tight budget. Or you could always spend a little bit more and get a 34 turbo for that little bit of extra power.

Ok i just took the lid off the ecu and its a rb25det ecu inside a rb20det cover. No wonder i was confused. Thanks for ur help anyway guys.

brokenz: thanks that makes sense, so does that mean that the ecu cant work in a rb20 anymore? and could it work in other rb25 engines? nismoh: no problems mate, all running great. Although i didnt do the engine conversion, bought the car with it already done. Definatley recomend the upgrade though mate

Hey guys got my r32 skyline over 6 months now and just realised it has a rb20det ecu in it (engine is a rb25det btw). How can this be? I thoght 25 ecu's have different pin outs than rb20 ecu's. Also VCT isnt supposed to work with the rb20 ecu is it? And i think my VCT is working fine... could be wrong though, any way of checking? Anyway just wanna know if anyone can help me work out whether my loom has been modified or something as the ecu hasnt been. Also rb25 power fc works in the car so im just really confused. Any help would be great... Thanks guys

No worries mate i realised after looking at my car lol. I gotta get one of those parts too cos i just got a normal gtst bonnet after the crash and want the light and good looking gtr one again. Then off to the panel beater for a paint. Yours looks awesome by the way!

My gts-t has a gtr grill too and the bonnet latch needed to be moved up. You will see a little indent at the top of the grill and thats where it has to sit. I didnt have to buy a gtr latch but i have a copy gtr bar with the gtst reo so you may need to get a gtr latch for the gtr reo if that makes sense. Good luck

My rb25 does exactly the same thing but all the time. Its rare that it starts straight away. Receipts i got with the car show like 4 new batteries so thats not it. Always starts eventually but cranks for like a good 10secs. Checked the FPR hose and is dry but that was bout 15mins after turning off the car. Should i check when turning on the car or will it make no difference? Any help appreciated
