Hi all SAU members... I have a VT SS im looking to change cars, no reason in particular just want a change. Specs VT 2000 Series 2 5.7L V8 Gen 3 4sp Auto - Rebuilt 2500kms Ago stage 2 shift kit New Tailshaft new Power Steering Rack and Pump New Starter Motor New Alternator New Air Cond Compressor New Battery - Heavy Duty New Front and Rear Suspension Kit Dash facia carbon fibre look Dash lights Blue and Red K&N Air and Oil Filter 2.5" Cat Back with Lukey Resonator stereo Alpine Desk with Ipod Control 2X 6" splits on the front 2X 6X9 In the rear 1000w 4ch Amp 1000w 12" Sub Basically everything has been replaced but the motor, it is a very reliable car. I have spent over $15k on preventative maintenance making sure the car is well looked after. 235xxx on the clock, runs like new. HI all i haveto sell my baby for work and im looking for more of a toy now, time to get back into the sky machines, for those that may know me. I have VT II Commodore SS 2000 SS Model VZ SS Badges Custom Red Interor 4sp Auto, Cruise control, Power windows, power mirrors, electric drivers seat (leather seat cover). Monaro style LED Rear Tail lights. VX Boot garnish. Engine 5.7L Alloytech V8 New ALternator New Battery New Exhaust and cat back 2.5" dual to single oval with resinator, Sound great New O2 sensors New AC unit New K&N Air Filter New K&N Oil Filter Always serviced. Gearbox has been rebuilt about 5000 ago and now has stronger parts and stage 2 shift kit, really punchy between gears. new tailshatft and whole new gearbox mounting. New Engine mounts Done so much to it cant remember it all. Runs really well. Has a New rear wing and boot (Blue) someone dropped a brick off an overpass and smashed the old wing and boot, they will be painted. Has a Alpine Head unit, MB quartz 6" splits on front, kicker 6X9 in rear, sony xpload 1000w 12" sub, and 1000w amp 4 channel, IPOD control Also has reversing sensors. Hi all, as some of you may know i am selling my car due to an knee injury i did snowboarding, the other week i got in my car and noticed when i put my foot flat to the floor at around 5000rpm the car would cough and splatter (almost like it was hitting rev limiter at 5000 not 7000 {but the engine kept reviing to 7000rpm while coughing). I took it to a mate and he said it could be the AFM being dirty, i got some auto elec contact cleaner and cleaned the contacts... this did not work. As long as the pedal is not flat to the floor it will act normally but as soon as it hit the floor and 5000rpm it starts playing up. I was thinking it may be a turbo problem.... is there a way to check wihout pulling it off the car? Car is as follows 1993 - ECR33. GTST 5 Speed Manual Front Mount Intercooler Cold Air Intake Pod Air Filter 3.5in Exhaust Turbosmart BOV It is currently running about 7psi although i did not have a boost guage connected to the vacuum hose for about 3 weeks as i was making a custom mould for it, then when i connected it back up it was reading about 7psi instead of 10psi... same guage same everything just different location... i think the engine problem may have happened around the same time the boodt guage got connected back up.... As the car is still for sale any help would be gratefully accepted. Thank you.... Craig
