  4. Hey all, Up for sale is my manual '91 gts-t. I want a 4wd so i can play in the mud... this has to go! It has been sitting in the shed with a vacuum leak (now fixed) for a couple months, been riding the bus like a boss to work and i really don't need it The bad first, damage to the passenger side front guard, needs a fresh clutch as the one in there is slippery as all hell, its out of rego, the starter soilenoid is dead and it wants a new –ve battery cable, so it aint going anywhere at the moment under its own steam. Not much to fix i know, but im done sinking $ into it. only defect it has had since coming over from VIC 5 years ago is for bald tires Has the following bits: Tein HR's Apexi 3" Turbo back exhaust with cannon RB25 series 2 turbo Splitfires Front & rear strut braces ISC 52mm radiator Trust/Greddy GREX filter relocator Shimmed LSD Genuine GTR front bar (has scratches on the passenger side) Type M skirts and rear pods (pods arent on the car at the mo) TOMEI 300kmph speedo Sparco rims (17x8 front and 17x9 rear) Falken ZIEX 235/45/17 all round 99% tread Also have some spare bits in the shed that will go with it: Replacement passenger side guard (small amount of damage ie. less than the panel on the car ) Stock radiator Oil cooler + relocator & fittings Various suspension bits TEIN C spanners And whatever else i find The Car will be sold AS IS. $5000 ONO PM ME FOR MORE INFO but right now its in the shed looking like this:

  6. table of current demerit points Dale, it depends if the officer lists the offence as one of the "breach of P plate conditions" offences or if it is listed as a regular offence.... i came across a lad who gor a $1400 fine from the cops (45+kph over the limit, drive unregistered car, drive uninsured car). none of them were P plate offences so he copped 3 points and went on his way. here is a list of P plate offences that = loss of licence as i described earlier plus the $ that they incurr. none of these cary demerit points PROVISIONAL LICENCE S81A(5) Contravening condition of provisional licence: Provisional driver exceed speed limit by 10km/h or more A688 $70 Provisional driver exceed .00 BAC A698 $173 Provisional Driver with prescribed drug (Methyl amphetamine) A889 $173 Provisional Driver with prescribed drug (THC) A890 $173 Provisional Driver with prescribed drug (Drug Combination) A899 $173 Provisional Driver with prescribed drug (MDMA) A746 $173 S81A(1)(e) Driving with no 'P' plates affixed A687 $155 S98 AAB Fail to immediately produce licence on demand A703 $112
  7. if the officer decides to list it as a breach of p plate conditions it does not carry demerit points, it is a 6 month minimum disqual, and start again on your P's
  8. there are 3 ways to get your licence suspended: (1) too many demerit points (2) court ordered suspension (3) you dont pay your fine and get a 60 day suspension. potentially all 3 of those could happen concurrently, all for different reasons and usually as separate penalties. In addition the courts can also cancel your licence (ie. back to your L's) or suspend it indefintely. from what i understand you have written there two of types of suspensions have happened. a court ordered one from a specific offence, and demerit points from having too much fun on the road. These types of penalties are necessary due to serial offenders and particularly dangers acts on the roads. it is a kick in the guts especially if you have to serve the demerit point disqual after the court ordered one
  9. I have had a bit to do with this through my work the simple fact of the matter here is the only fines that are affected by this are ones that have been taken into a Fines Payment Unit in the Courts, and an application to make payments by installments has been made... this means that the individuall is FULLY aware of the offence and has taken responsibility for the fines and admitted liability. Yes there was a glitch that stopped demerit points incurred on fines that were paid by these means, however there is no statute of limitation on the application of the points. If an individual incurred greater than 12 points in any 3 year period they are to serve a licence disqual. When the 3 year period started and finished is irrelivant. its unfortunate if this has affected anyone, but the offences were commited, and the penalty is pay a fine and incurr points
  10. i see your bike and raise you and AC Cobra
  11. cheers mate, sent u a text yep, will do soon, but for now im happy with my head buried in the sand hmmm didnt think of the FPR... it could be letting too much fuel through. will add that to the list
  12. Igniter pack will be solid gold bro! Will clean out my aac this weekend, can hopefully sort an afm to test as well. Faililng those telling me what the problem is it leaves a vacuum leak that is still there, a borked CAS. Or something more sinister
  13. working green label AFM and RB20 ignitor pack so i can suss out if mine have crapped themselves. pm me if you can help thanks!!!
  14. finally got some more time to mess about with the car. replaced a bunch of the joiners with fresh look at me blue silicon and new clamps. there were a couple sections that i could not find replacments for (they have a gradual curve in them) so i have not completely ruled out a vacuum leak. a couple things that i have noticed in the way that it is running are: it runs slightly smoother at idle. however it is still blowing a ton of smoke at idle and makes a nice cloud on gear changes and acceleration in 1st after a bit if driving then coming to a stop it idles at 2k rpm for a little while (up to 1 min) then it drops back down to around 1k rpm and will surge/splutter. when driving at a steady rpm, a change in throttle position makes the car surge/splutter does not blow smoke driving at a steady speed does not want to boost past 8psi (not that i have been trying to, but the slippery clutch means sometimes i dont have much choice in gointg to higher rpm) does that info help narrow it down for all? anyone out there have a working green sticker AFM or RB20 igniter pack i can try out this coming weekend? i work in the city and live in the brighton area ps, thanks for the help so far
  15. Im down south Dion. my car is currently taking up space in my gfs parents garage in Morphett Vale Cheers Vu, will add that to the list okies, will do. what did you use to clean up the pump, im guessing there are some solvents/cleaning products to steer clear of in case they react with petrol hmm wouldnt have thought a small leak would have such a large effect, we'll see! looks like its the next step fark that is a fairly steep price for IC piping being the cause yeop, my thoughts as well... i have done everything that is free so far. time to move on to the cheap fixes
  16. Well puling the loom from the coils made it run a bit rougher on each one, so that rules the out. Unplugging the afm made the car stall, so it must be working to some degree. How big an effect will an leak in cooler piping have at idle?
  17. Haha ok, cheers abe... Its on the list
  18. Cheers Brendan, thats some good info. l think the fuel filter is a must, if not only beacuse of how long it has been in the car. after sussing out the cooler piping (im guessing it would be an obvious leak for it to run so rough at idle). i'll attack the AFM
  19. im thinking organic Steve. I'll PM you later
  20. nah its a gts-t matt. thanks for the offer the piping is fairly ugly & mismatched... could do with a re-vamp. my fmic uses the stck piping positions similar to a cooling pro one. wont get too far ahead of myself tho... will pull it apart and have a good look at it all. i have not noticed it leaning out, i have been driving like a nanna cos my clutch is about to let go (soon as i hit boost it slips ) *****looks at steve for clutch hookups*****
  21. thanks for the input guys, first up i'll suss out the joiners and cooler piping to try and find obvious flaws... reckon i will replace the lot as they are quite old and some appear a little perished. failing that i'll play the coil pack game (am i likley to cop 12 volts up my arm pulling the loom from the coils?). if that tells me nothing i'll pass it on to a mechanic to suss out the fuel system etc, i dont fancy being covered in petrol again.... got enough of that from that ke36 wagon i had as for the smokey exhaust/fuel smell, a hole of some sort in the intake, faulty afm, or faulty coil pack makes sense.... the hole in the intake or faulty afm means the ecu could think there is more air than there really is going into the car, and would pump in more fuel than necessary which would make its way out the exhaust. coil pack not operating i suppose would have a similar effect.
  22. hey all, having some dramas with my car and want some opinions, im struggling to narrow down what the issue is. its running really rough, it seems to be hunting, and possibly burning oil (im yet to suss out the colour of the smoke properly, however it smells like fuel). Oil and water are the colours and at the levels that they should be, the cooling system is not pressurising straight away and its not steam coming form the exhaust so im fairly confident that its not the head gasket. the weekend before last i drove out to port augusta and back (surely getting some dirty ass fuel along the way). My car is my daily driver, and when i got in on wed arvo to drive home from work is when it started missing/runnig rough, i was quite low on fuel at this point. I have swapped out the plugs this arvo, and they were really fouled. put in a set of new plugs and it runs the same (however i did not gap them cos i dont have my feeler gauges at my gf's place). on visual inspection the coilpacks seem ok, but i really have nfi what im looking for to spot a faulty coil pack. in addition the AFM appears clean and ok. my question is, what can lead to those symptoms of hunting, running rough and being smokey? rings? dirty injectors? dead coil/ignitor pack? dead AFM? im grateful for any help i can get!
  23. finally a food based youtube video rival to epicmealtime
