hahaha that is messed up. its like when my mate rocked up to his car just as he was getting a parking fine. the ass hat of a parking inspector would not hand my mate the ticket, or even acknoledge his presence.

yep, my budget surecom switch gives me 80Mbit/s from onboard lan on my win7 machine, to my wins2k3 server with a $15 network card

that may have been someone from your local post office. the courier/aus post will try to deliver, and if it sits at the post office for a while post office staff will drop another slip off (but they wont have the package with them)

passenger side. only reason i chose that side is a lot of cars that come from the factory with offset plates, have em on that side (ie alpha romeo). dont think they are to fussed on which side they are on. but it would make sense to have them on the drives side though, that way on-coming traffic can see it with ease

put it on the side then mine is on the side. just make sure its at least 300mm from the ground, and faces forward. i have never been hasseled about mine that sits like that.

just pop it in the middle at the same height as the reo bar. they cant fault you for that

its ur $ and like i said in what u quoted. its overkill for a domestic setting. transfer speeds are unbelievebly similar accross the price range. realistically all u will get for 1000% more cost is the server card may live longer

would only need the server card on a gigabit lan, and even then its maximum overkill in a domestic setting. it would make zero difference on ur intarwebs speed.
