  4. it is only my daily driver, i'm not worried about running higher than standard boost. i just should have checked the pistons before i honed the block, as now i might have to get's over sized pistons and have the block boarded and honed again to match. i was just interrested to see if anyone makes standard size pistons for the rb20det, other then nissan.
  5. i went and spoke with the engine builder that i get to do all my machine work and he is going to see what he can find, if i can get them from nissan for around $74 each i would be very happy.
  6. hi all, i am currently rebuilding a rb20det and when i pulled it down i found that the piston ring lands were cracked and also one of the rings on piston number 2 was cracked in half. but what i am after is aftermarket standard size pistons as i got the bores honed before i noticed that the pistons were cracked. if any one knows were i can get standard size new pistons(not forged), please let me know.
  7. i think you need to think about what you are saying, there is always going to be wankers out there. i drive a commodore and i agree that a lot of the ones driving ss commodores and hsv's are tools, but i have also seen a lot of people driving skylines, silvias, etc that have been complete idiots too. i also bet that at some point you have also been a idiot when driving a car, in fact i bet every one here has done something stupid and thought to them self "i won't do that again". so basicly get a life, and don't worry about some tool, you don't know from a bar of soap.
  8. i have done a n/a to turbo conversion on an rb30 and i had a few issues with it pinging to start with due to the fact i was running n/a injectors, stick to the following 1. make shore you are using turbo injectors, ecu and have an adj fuel reg 2. drop the timming back to 10 BTDC 3. use good fuel with the above i was running 10psi and having no issues with it for 6 months, till i got done by the EPA and then the turbo did a oil seal.
  9. what i am after is a air flow meter, standard rb20 turbo and dump in good nick, and the coil igniter that sit's under the cover over the coils. if you have any of the above for the right price let me know.
