  2. Hey guys, getting a new turbo in a few weeks, pretty much i dont wanna mess around trying to install it, just not confident in doing it... Where do you guys recommend I go to get my turbo installed and how much am i looking at for the job? Its a direct bolt on turbo (T3 flange/6 bolt) so yeahh any suggestions would be great.. Thanks

  4. damn lol.. yeahh i think i'll definately have to spare the extra cash to get one incase i am driving past a cop or something.. whats happens if u get EPA'd anyway? do they see it on there and tell u to take it off or do they do the test with it on? where did u buy your EVC from and how much? looks like another modification to add to the list lol
  5. lol damn i thought you installed it last week.. im thinking about getting an ECV too.. dont want to have too loud an exhaust, is that the one where u flick the switch and the exhaust gets quieter by 10dB or so? yeahh i'd rather just pay to get them cleaned + flow tested + new rings for $150 just to be on the safe side dont wanna go messing around having to take them out again and shit.. but yeah i dont mind you doing the injectors for me... exhaust i can do.. just need to find somewhere/someone to install the turbo for me.. no way im messing around trying to install that lol
  6. Hmm its just that most GTR injectors are about $250-300.. cleaning is $150 and resistor pack u told me new $150? So looks like im looking at $600... Sure you dont want to do turbo and injectors for me for a medium sized fee? =P i know u love skylines man u know u want to do it for fun haha
  7. Yeah i sent CEF11E a pm so we'll see how it goes.. how much do you think i'll be paying to get all the new parts installed? Any recommendations of where to go around our area? Oh and do you think the GTR injectors would be good for around 230rwkw? I was thinking of just spending the extra $100 and getting new SARD 550cc injectors insteada what ya rekon? Also think the adjustable cams (IN+ex) would make a big difference?
  8. All good abu no hurry man.. hmmm so u think CEF11E instead of Dr. Drift? Yeahh just with the amount for the turbo and how much its gonna cost for installation just gonna be too much if i get a PFC.. Dr. Drive is real time tune yeah? What about CEF11E? Does he do real time incl. dyno runs etc.?

Undecided: Power-FC w/HC - $1400 or Dr. Drift/HPF Re-Map $? Undecided: Tomei Cam Gears In+Ex - $365 Undecided: Electronic Boost Controller (Dont Know Which One To Get Yet) $400ish? Total - $2983 without Installation or Undecided items What do you guys think of this setup for 220-230rwkw? How much is installation gonna end up costing me? (Excl exhaust/airbox/EBC since I can do that myself or get help) How much would Dr. Drift charge for a re-map/tune? Thanks

  14. ^^ yeah thats what i thought too.. i think i even read it that any aftermarket turbo is illegal so what if u get pulled over and they see a high mount you get defected straight away for aftermarket turbo and have to remove it? Justa32: did a quick search the last thread with a 'ax53b70' was from 2005 lol, that Garrett GT28RS looks pretty good straight bolt on brand new for $1800, that seems like the right price to pay wish i could get a 2nd hand but their not floating around alot with the T3 flange its mostly the T25 flange GT28RS/GT2530.. the HKS GT2530 with T3 flange new is alot like $2200 USD new from HKS so the $1800 AUD brand new with T3 flange which is pretty much the same as the GT2530 seems like the way to go

  17. nahhh i dont want too much power (still on my P's).. i just want that power that pushes u back in your seat u know.. ive been thinking alot about http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/category12_1.htm Nissan Special Garrett GT28RS 350hp ball bearing turbo which is straight bolt on T3 flange and 6 bolt dump pipe for RB20/25 which is $1800.. its just all the supporting mods im gonna need to back it up the list just goes on and on.. PFC is gonna set me back alot so im thinking maybe wait till i buy every mod i want to do and get a re-map because after that i wont mod my car for a while and i know u need to re-tune every time u add more mods so if i just throw everything in and get it tuned i should be fine and then down the track look at getting a PFC

  20. thats dirty as... whenever i see holdens like that i dont even speed i suspect every one of them as a undercover cop lol.. if it was an import then different story but i'd check the person and the dash for that flashing light thats switched off.. anyone have pic's of what to look for on a undercover car? ive never really payed attention and noticed this antenna's on the back would be useful if anyone took pictures of them so u could tell whats a cop car and whats not
  21. yeah no op6's for sale at the moment.. so im thinking that GT28RS would be the highest price im willing to go and its pretty much equivalent to the HKS GT2530 so cant go wrong read some good reviews that its very responsive and is good for about 230kw with support mods... only thing is if i cant find a T3 flange and have to get a T25/28 flange then i wander how much exactly i'll need to convert it to T3

  23. BAMR33 : Where would i be able to find an R34 turbo? I did a search but couldnt find any for sale.. could u find any R34 turbo's up for sale? and do u have turbo name coz im pretty much just searching for "R34 Turbo" in the parts for sale area and getting nothing... i was thinking of putting a RB25 turbo in since its cheap but if i can get a R34 Turbo for around the same price i might as we'll go for that. Also with the setup u listed, how much KW would i be looking at with that setup? Thanks

  25. ah k yehh that was my friends idea lol i'd prefer just getting a proper high flow.. those KKR turbo's dont look too bad its just that ive been reading and apparently theres alot of modifications u have to make like getting the wastegate machined and things like that to get it to fit plus some people are saying it has overboosting issues and it has alot of lag... wander if the JJ version is the same or without those problems
