I have 256/17 on with 17/8 at the front and 17/9 at the back. They fit good but like predator said gutters = scraped rims. I would get something even a bit wider maybe, just to protect the rims.

Dyno Day will be sick!!! I'll be interested. But will you all laugh at me when my car only make 110 kws at the wheel?!?! hehe

My car Skyline is my daily drive as well. Wish I did have enought money to have a second bomb as a daily drive. I even use my Skyline to do home delivery around Prahan area dude!!! Clocking up heaps of Ks, should see their face tho when I rock up with loud exhaust and stickers all over my car hehe. I tell them this is my delivery car, should see what car I have parked in the garage at home!!! hehe

Yeah that's what I mean swaping wheels altogether, so would be inside out with the wore shoulder outside and the better shoulder inside. This would balance it out abit. And when the inside start wearing again, i'll swap it again hehehe. Don't know how many time I'll be able to swap them around for haha.

Dude I was thinking the same thing today. Looking through the Auto mag there was a white EVO 6 and a silver R33 GTR for sale from the same dealer. Personally I would of taken the EVO. Even tho I love GTRs I think EVO is quicker as a standard car and as you said it is 4 doors. There was about $4000 difference with the EVO been more expensive but it is a newer car.

I got the Turbosmart single stage. High boost 10psi or standard boost with a rocket switch inside the cabin. It brings on boost earlier too which is good. Had no trouble with it so far, but seem to spike a little (12psi) on cool nights.

Advice on Boost Gauge and Connection
skylineakt replied to skylineakt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Done! When to Bunnings and got some irrigration hose hehe. -
Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone can help me here. The situation is that I got a boost gauge install in my car, and I'm having trouble with the boost/vacumn hose. The problem is that it keep spliting at where it joins the T. I have notice that if I run high boost, the hosing will just split!! It is getting frustrating now because it has happen about 5 times. And everytime I'll have to cut it back and reconnect it to the T. But now I'm up to the point where it can't cut back no more. Well basically my question is can I run the boost gauge without the T?? Like straight from the trothel body to the aftermarket gauge, instead to both the standard gauge and the aftermarket one. If not can I use other type of hose that will not split?? And where can I get them?? I have even try using tape around the hose to stop it from splitting put still split she went. Any advice would be helpful. Cheers Skylineakt

See this just prove that you learn something new everyday.. hehe I always let my car warm up before driving off. Like 10 mins, when the temp start rising. Now I know not to. But I feel that the car doesn't drive as good or as smooth on idle if I don't let it warm up completely?!

That's cheap for ZE-326. I remember when I got mine they were like $180. For the price you pay for them, they are pretty good. As everyone said, not much grip when launching but alright for just street tyres. The good thing is that these tyres are none directional so I can swap my tyres without been refited when it start wearing out on the inside shoulder. Hasn't happen yet but on my old tyres my front were wearing on the inside shoulder.

Nitto's made me speechless !!!!
skylineakt replied to BOOSTD's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Man that's a pretty good deal for a pair of Nittos. I saw them for $495 for 1, 245/45/17. They must be sick on the road. But the wearing wouldn't be the best, but than again who cares about wearing when you got so much grip!! hehe Are they any good on the wet tho?? Well have fun with them anyway before you have to change them. -
Boostmeister, that's a sick job mate. Looks bloody good. Something like that would cost heaps to buy. Where can you get those carbon sheets?? and how much are they?? I have carbon fibre cups for gauges, so my as well keep it the same theme hehe. You want to start taking orders?!?! Cheers

The Trust kit is thicker. So it cools better yeah?!?! I just assume that the thicker core will have a better cooling element. The HKS probably have better flow tho because of the extra height and less thickness.

Cool thanks Sam. Will have to book myself in. Are you guys open on Saturday? That's the only time I get off work.

Man our Skylines do attract alot of attention no matter where it is. But parking in or near a train station is pretty scary man. There are high school kids, weirdo etc, etc. If it doesn't get stolen, it could get damage by some young smartass. Let start a Skyline Watch haha. Everyone just stick a SAU sticker on and join the SKYLINE WATCH hehe

I was thinking of a partition for my pod filter as well, but with no cold air feed, is there really a point?? Will just a heat shield help? I can't to find any room for me to run a air feed to the front bumper. Still have standard i/c.

I think the E-manage has 16X16, that is with the supporting software and harness.

Hi Guys Just want to get some opinion on stock turbo Skyline running with NOS. I was reading some mag the other day and it got me interested in term of bang for buck. See I'm currently at the stage where I want to gain about 30-50 kws to my car, but not sure how to go about it. I currently have exhaust and high boost. I was thinking of getting an aftermarket ecu, but looking at the cost of the NOS and the ecu, I think the NOS is cheaper. I know an ecu would be a long term investment, but my Skyline is an auto and there isn't much ecu out there that is compatible with the box. My question is, is NOS safe to use?!? Like without any internal changes etc, etc. I heard that it is actually good for turbo car because it has some cooling effect. By side retarding the ignition, is there anything else you need to modify like fuel/air? Also which system would be the best to get? Wet? Dry? Has anyone here have experience with NOS before in a Skyline or know a fair whack about it with Skyline?? Any thoughs would be helpful. Cheers Skylineakt

I was thinking has there been a Cruise and a Go-Kart Day?!?! There are some really good Go-Kart places around Melbourne. This way we can have a cruise and than take some rush out on the Go-Kart track. This might be the only way of me racing and beating some of the guys here!! hehe. But I guess that wouldn't be much a cruise. There is on at Phillip Island yeah?!? But not much of a fun drive though. Anyway just an idea. If I can find a good route to a Go-Kart place, I will try to organise something. Cheers

Man same thing happens to me all the time with Commodores!! I got nothing agaisnt them. I even like them to some extent but some drivers really sh$t me up the wall... Happen tonight, I was cruising down the road, next thing this headlights comes right up my ass. Stayed there for a while, I don't know what the guy was hoping for but I wasn't sure if it was an undercover copper. Next thing pulls up next to me, ahead by a bonnet lenght. Stayed there for a while and I saw it was a Clubsport R8, the guy just keep looking like he never seen a Skyline before. I know there I probably wouldn't have a chance with it so let it be and keep on cruising. The Commodore than floors it, flicking shits and stones to my car!!! I know it is a fast car but do they have to do sh%ts to intimadate people. Like would they be doing the same thing if I had a F*&king GTR!?!?! Jet lend me your engine hehe...
