  1. Hey Damo Not really sure how come they are so cheap on ebay. I know what you mean, like perfectrun got them for $660. But than again, there is a site that i visit and they trade in Japanese yen. www.takakaira.com From memory there selling it for $500 (aust) something after the conversion from yen to aussie dollars. Our money is pretty strong at the moment compare to the yen. I'm assuming that it comes with everything?!?!, don't quote me on it. But in the SACF2, i think it's just the unit, a stand and the cord/adaptor.
  2. Hey Damo I'm looking to purchase a SAFC soon too and I think it is worth the extra money for those extra points and functions. You even have 2 different fuel settings too for different driving condition. I saw the link you mention on ebay. I was bidding for one not long ago but lost at the end, and the unit went for $510. I also visited Aust Distri for Apexi in Melb, thinking maybe it is cheaper. but they wanted something like $700. Cheers
  3. Hey Shannon I had the same dilema as you before, whether to purchase a bleed valve or an elect boost controller. There is heaps of advantages of the ebc over a bleed valve, but due do to money reason I had to settle for the Turbosmart single stage, it allows me to flick from standard boost to high boost from inside the car. The unit cost me about $200 and i have been told you do need an accurate boost gauge when installing one of these. So rougly eveything came to $400 not including installation. Now when boost is set on high, it comes on more quicker and it sounds MAD!! The only worry i have with the bleed valve is that I'm scare it will overboost. So now days when i'm pushing it, i tend to be more focused on the boost gauge than on the road haha. I guess that's one of the main disadvantages of a bleed valve compare to a ebc. Alot of them have some sort of safety function for boost spike or overboosting. I also intalled a A/F ratio meter to check for leaning out. And with boost set at 11psi there seem to be no problem. Still running rich actually. So my next step will be either the SAF-C2 or a piggy back comp. There are some cheap second ebc on ebay sometime. That might be an option. The cheapest ebc I have seen is properly the profec-B and now GReddy just realease a new model too.
  4. Does the K&N flow better than the HKS items?? There is all these therios out there about air filters. All I know is the my HKS make a damn loud noise when SUCKING... Does anyone know how often should you change the foam on one of these things? Or do we just keep cleaning it? I know you can oil and clean the K&N airfilter. Do you have to oil the HKS POwer flow as well?? Cheers
  5. Thanks for the help guys and the link that you gave was very helpful. I'm using stock intercooler that's why it's such a headache finding room for a cold intake pipe. I think I'll just install a partition of some sort. Thanks for the suggestion 51jay, but I don't have the standard GTS-T air filter and box as my car came with the HKS pod when I brough it. 6. Hi guys Just want to know if any of you guys here have a cold air intake flowing to your air filter under the hood?? I have a HKS Powerflow unit and it seems to me that it is just sucking hot air from the engine back. I have read that in other places it will reduce hps and also is not good for the engine. I have also check out partition kits and shields but they cost a fair bit and I think feeding in cold air will be the way to go. Anyway I have checked out under my hood and can't seem to find any space to feed a tube vent through. If any of you guys have a solution or where I can run the tube, it would be great. Oh the car is a R33 GTS-T. I have seen some sort of cold air intake in some GTS-T that comes from the front grill, are these from the factory?? My didn't have one that's why. Cheers Skylineakt
