  2. lsd, locking the diff will make it unusable day to day......
  3. I like it. Too me it makes more sense to leave more of the original guard in and to just cut for wheel cleareance.
  4. PM sent, driver's side?
  5. After r32 gtr rear guards. I'm in Central Sydney. pm or e-mail from my id thanks.
  6. Translation 1. "oil cooler installation will interfere with the existing air conditioning condenser". "if you want an air conditioning condensor, use a kit with this number" from this company Kenso phone them... 2. to install this will make air conditioning difficult!
  7. Nice start, it's not easy on the wallet getting these parts together prior!
  8. Yes I fill it with premium, yes it guzzles. With e10, more pumps have 95 for working and commuting. I owned an lsx powered vehicle prior. It is not any difference in fuel cost. Fuel is a minor price compared to purchase and depreciation at this level. Usability, Running costs and fun are great compared to a euro. I'd recommend a demonstrater or low k to save some dollars. Most FPV dealers will drop prices to move stock. I find a lot boils down to the individual dealership. I didn't want a Ford at the time but the local Holden was doing my "trades worth nothing" stuff, and seemed much dodgier over warranty. After the F6, I've never missed a V8, they are smooth and powerful like a V12 at times!
  9. My vote is for FPV, as a FPV turbo owner, the turbo 6 is a dream drive train.
  10. Is this a top or side feed? Will they take larger injectors? Any RB25 experience with these?
  11. Hi Chris you going well with this build, nice sunroof save. I'm with you over preferring power over noise. Did you see these e-bay guards? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  12. Does it fit the reclining for fixed back Bride thanks?
  13. Victorian modifying seems to be tied to a "high flow" turbo and a FMIC, nothing else visible.
  14. I guess it's a limitation of all forums, I'm going forward facing any way, even if it's "just for looks", I'm sure there are genuine gains, it's hard to prove a point, that something "feels better" sounds better "seat of the pants etc". Cost to me is time and real dollars. I don't have the time and money for strip and circuit testing etc. I'll stick with my time my dollars, my way.
  15. Well, where could things go from here, to a point, I was planning on forward facing any way, my engine builder/mechanic only does forward facing for GT35 forged builds any way. Some of the comparisons are unrealistic on this forum circuit etc, when it's my build and wallet. Both the mechanic and I can get a little tense in the "control freak way". I can forsee dyno only as a comparo. I can only afford one plenum. A Greddy, plazaman would have to be loaned. Stock is on the head. The build would have forged pistons, mild cams and the turbo above. Any result would be qualified by that set up.
  16. I'm doing a forged engine RB 25 rebuild in South West Sydney, over the next few months. Would you be prepared to test against standard, or Greddy for a discount?
  17. Series 1 or series 2 head? Interested thanks.
  18. You've got me looking at US prices, good luck with it. Have you factored import duty in as well?
  19. He's probably tired of too much compression with his NA motor. Most builds are in the 9:1CR. I think he should get it balanced any way.
  20. Yes, Unlike other parts oil restrictors are cheap! you could do without the oil squirters with quality pistons. Most people would use a quality main and head stud kit, and a metal gasket. You could find RB26 rods, some H beam rods are as low as 700.
  21. Someone has stated to me, a Plazaman with stock runners may give better low to mid range and earlier spool, than a complete short runner set up.
  22. Fork out for a crank collar and a Nitto oil pump, you could save on yet another bottom end for a while.
  23. Good time to forge your existing internals. Or line up an RB26.
