    There are plenty of GTS4s that exceed GTRs in performance etc. Some how I don't think it make it a GTR. more a GTS 4 custom.

    As a GTS 4 owner. I say no. I like the GTS4 for what it is. GTR chassis, but a bit more streetable and usable. I also prefer the factory automatic on mine. Sometimes less is more, as talked about in this thread GTRs are more of a flat out car, weekend car (although I see a few dailys). To me the GTS4 is a daily Skyline with a few GTR bits. It is well short of the legend but much more usable.

    Gt 30/71 or Gt30/76 a little madder and GT 35, or leave in the RB20

    It seems if your going to the trouble of RB20 to RB 25, show a bit more "mongrel". After swapping a whole engine go for a better turbo and supporting systems, otherwise just hop up the RB20.

    There are numerous fabricators to cover the pod. I'm planning alloy. The BOV can be changed to factory or a "plumb back". If you look at the E85 forums a retune may well give you a pass with FMIC to show the cops. I agree many worse crooks around. The whole RTA and police thing is targeting working tax payers. Carbon cost and pollution of an Urban SUV is much higher than a turbo skyline.

    No stagea, but stagea rb 25 block upgrade kindly sold to me off this forum. I currently store my gts4 in Cardiff.

    I was quoted 1500 ball park for a made to order 6 boost, by them. At the moment pistons and rods are my priority for dollars.

    Thought the attesa means jacked up all 4 wheels will drive (detected as traction loss correctly). Skyline is not a full time AWD system. Drive to fronts when atessa computer detects sliding only. Given the age of these vehicles if defective, I'd suspect old electricals.

    Yes I was having a toss!, LOL but am building my car for e85, as a complete package. There are reasons like what is the logic of middle east oil now, for less performance etc etc.

    Having fought in the "blood for oil" war, (exchange instructor US Navy and marines), ethanol is a beautiful thing. Non fossil fuel. Non middle East. E70/E85 good, E100 even better. Restoring a Skyline is Carbon friendly, E85 (from waste largely) even better. Appropriate tuning and fuel systems give more fun too. "80or200" why don't you put your pixsy life of the line in the name of "blood for oil".

    I certainly agree with you about the standard bonnets. The GTR bonnet/open grill is a much better look. Hats off to you again for being prepared to restore a GTS4. My goals are similar in preparing a vehicle that can be used daily. I've had some performance cars but reading the 20km/hr ave Sydney trip computer speed, makes it hard for me t o justify a GTR, as much as I appreciate them.

    So what are your GTS4 plans from here. Sounds like panel and paint first. Are you going wide GTR rear guards, but standard front guards. Mechanically are you going for the Stagea conversion, or even GTR RB26? With mine the priority is the Stagea RB25 swap, plenty of electrical sorting, they seem a very electrical vehicle. ATESSA ABS etc etc. I'm leaving mine automatic, narrow, and minimal GTR bits. Definitely leaving GTS4 decals on.

    Congratulations, as a fellow R32 GTS4 coupe owner, they are a fantastic purchase. As described on this forum -"the ultimate tinkerers car". When are you getting your adjustable toque split controller? I've bought a Stagea block for a 25 det upgrade. Will be keen to follow you progress. Any one can check book a GTR.

    Having the automatic fitted with a trans brake is even better.
