Looking at the cover of the street machine and wondering if that's a different torana. -
R32 Gts 4 Coupe Upgrade
DR 32R replied to DR 32R's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
More than two years at a pre-paid panel beater. Even my mum has asked what's going on? Is he just a huckster? Not really I had my role in the delays as well. If the body was finished with a glass wide-body as I had planned, I wouldn't have been pleased. The guy does steel wide-bodies...Life and projects are complicated. I gave up GP for specialist, then private for public, had another child late in life, so if the panels were done the game would be on to finish the thing, and having done sums, the ATO and housing sadly come ahead. With time and moving Cities, ideas change, at the moment it's a metal widebody. Based on a GTR wreck he sourced. (no GTR badges are planned...). I had Brides waiting but being 50 plus years old, I'd rather stay standard or Recaro so with a move my Bride seats were sold. The panel shop has had a couple of moves as well. I'd drop faith in the guy but other work, smaller he's done for my other cars, a friends have been fine. Hopefully the panels as a GTR based widebody will get done, and I can think about what direction in completion the project will take. -

Stagea 4Wd Auto Transmission Into R33 Gtr
DR 32R replied to johnbarry88's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/product/TCM2000/ These guys apparently provide a stand alone transmission ecu, plus wiring looms. I've only seen an Australian review in a Supra in performance imports magazine. They can also supply paddles. As pointed out you could start with an auto r33 gTS-4 and build a forged, stroker turbo combination that is more powerful than a gtr. There are plenty of auto, all wheel drive subaru turbo legacys on ebay and car sales that seem like the owners would love to off load on to you on car sales and ebay etc. -
Where Did You Go For Your Engine Rebuild In Sydney ? ****
DR 32R replied to jdm-egg's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I used Alex at Birrong automotive. His prices are high but probably lower than CRD Gas motorsport etc. My results are untested, as my car is "panel beater stuck". Alex struck me as meticulous passionate, with good knowledge, like many "his way or the high way". He drags an RB R33. The posts above show sound reasoning, technology supports a Nissan built motor. Best Wishes. -
+1 to the above, or go dirty 30, or a well checked NEO rb25.

Mercury motorsport Wilston, take the travel time from Brisbane.

If the same happened to me I would take it it up with in all seriousness my local Greens MP Jamie Parker. E fuels do not pollute as he fully understands. Both divergent politicians Greens and Bob Katter understand ethanol as Arab free and very environmentally clean fuels.

I liked the car already when it was featured on performance imports. You're improving on a great starting point. -

Bmi - Body Mass Index, Why Is It Still Used?
DR 32R replied to GHOSTrun's topic in Health & Wellbeing
As a former doctor in the Army the first post says it all. Other measurements the key one being waistline were made during a medical and that sort sit out. In my current clinical practice with both sexes I prefer waistline, or with women dress size they fit into, as the progress measurement over using weight. If you generate muscle mass it is burning calories even when "not in use". -
R32 Gts 4 Coupe Upgrade
DR 32R replied to DR 32R's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I guess we both keep "raising the bar" as we go, getting in deeper and making the build more full on. We both said at the start of our builds we were taking our time. I know I'm a bit older than you and most on the forum, and am happy to just stick with it, surviving the amazing budget blow outs at times, but persevearing, with what are basically unloved cars except for the few GTS4 extremists. I've always loved following your build Chris as have many! My car will have a trip to QLD for audio plus enhancement, and a photo with yours I hope. -
R32 Gts 4 Coupe Upgrade

Having paid MV automatics, the trans 3k stall etc etc, was lost for a while and found again, causing just a small shortening of my life while MV automatics have tracked it down. Hope I see it in the flesh soon. -

There are the "dark nights of the soul feelings" that having been stripped back so far, is it just a pile of rubble now or will it come together mostly to plan. -

More of the strip and wide body -

The other aspect is the decision to "wide body" in many ways subtle is better and I'm and admirer of Chris Rogers restoration GTS4 for that reason. I have wanted to wide body my GTS4 for wide rubber clearance. I went with fibreglass rear quarters and GTR fenders, over going all GTR and stiching in GTR quarters. The plesant surprise is that for an old GTS4 there is very little significant corrosion as many of these were used in mud and snow parts of Japan, while mine has been looking soild structurally. -

The panel beater is always big and critical part of a build. I've been satisfied with the one I've chosen. The pics show how far I've had the car stripped back, which is far enough to respray the engine bay to the matching final colour. And that it's a glass out windows out job. -

My Progress Thread, Also How Pointless Is Jogging?
DR 32R replied to hamiltonau's topic in Health & Wellbeing
I was once a doc in the Australian Regular Army, "running club" is the fastest fix for midriff weight problems. The major problem with running is the running related injuries. Fat burning from an exercise physiology point of view is beyond 20 minutes. Once you are going longer than 20 minutes you are doing your best fat burning. Don't measure weight, measure midriff. -
Posted earlier about stroke correction. The highlight of the week is now my weekly coaching session. Having a coach through the winter has kept my motivation up, the drills and technique improvement she has given me has been money well spent and enjoyed.

I'd just be very satisfied as I've ranted before, if modded vehicles are locked in tune to E70-85, were left alone by the EPA and cops, on the basis they are a very proven pollution emissions reducer. It seems too logical and simple for the numpties in power, if we have modded to pollute less, leave us alone on the roads from than angle. Meanwhile an E10 unserviced standard worn out hack spewing smoke from engine wear, on barely treaded tyres is generally left alone.
