  1. Latest post on Stelthfilms Channel is a "backing off" run. Nice. http://www.youtube.com/user/Stelthfilms
  2. Still love to follow this project!
  3. Nice build, doing a similar rb25 26 crank rebuild also.
  4. Speed, red light cameras are so bad in NSW. I've considered not providing work across town if it involves too much of a drive. O'Farrel is on the right track.
  5. I like my ford F6 turbo 6 speed auto combo. Pity the car is a taxi body. To me auto trans shifts quickly no lifting off, keeps the turbo on boost, beats you at the drags. Depends on what you built the car for. I prefer auto plus turbo, but I'm getting old.Usually for the same engine turbo combo, auto or dual clutch will be quicker over the quarter due to faster shifting, no backing off, remaining negative is high power train loss, in older autos. In alot of cars available with dsg, the dsg is the faster.E.g. Golf R.
  6. Prestige cars are an even bigger con job! In Sydney everyones got a bmw 3 series. (Or a soft roader). I currently drive a Ford/fpv F6, on my company, tax man won't think it's worth an audit. Just a taxi with a turbo. Has been fun to drive, cheap to service. Easy to take the family out on trips etc. The replacement, lease is ending will be Japanese.
  7. Currently, the engine guy doesn't think the auto will last behind it. The transmission is going to Paul from KEAS, who seems to really know his stuff. Yes I agree with the trans cooler.
  8. Now phased out, but magna all wheel drive. Bought one as a daily. Cheap and underrated.
  9. If you're paying top dollar for a Tomei, you may want to consider the Nitto drag gasket series as a comparison.
  10. I am doing oversized in RB25 head, so yes for RB25 det.
  11. ISL33P on this forum fabricates them, see the fabrication forum. Hypertune make them, seem to be doing more non RB26 lately. Plazamann on the standard runners seem pretty good to me. My choice was Hypertune.
  12. Given that police are open about targeting imports. I think you should consider staying with twin low mount turbos. You can have the power with close to stock appearence.
  13. More engine spending continues with Hypertune doing an RB25 plenum, throttle body and fuel rail. ACL race bearings selected. ATI balancer ordered. Head is still away.
  14. Sard make a 1000 injector, compatible with your rail. ID1000s. sometimes given the cost of injectors, a rail injector combo isn't as bad money wise as sards and your existing rail. +1 get a nitto or tomei oil pump.
  15. Interested. Will try to get in touch by pm or email.
  16. I've always enjoyed the specs. R32 with red-r built rb25. Good combo!
  17. True but they probably "farm out" any auto transmission work.
  18. I think Chris loves gts4s and is trying to point you in the right direction. He has both trade experience, and a love of his own restorations, but especially his gts4, check out his thread. I think the easiest tranny, is rebuilding the one in the car. A properly built JATCO is well proven in the VL drag scene. Cheers.
  19. Seems about right, i've never been harrassed in my FPV.
  20. Only in my opinion, I think the Vipec or Haltec e11v2 or Haltec platinum, plug and play for a GTR would be better. If you're getting a tune, what your tuner likes of those two. I'm glad to see another GTS4 being built. They're nice cars.
  21. You can have the auto rebuilt, better to go with someone who likes JATCOs, what state are you in?
  22. You don't need a computer unless you are modifying it. If you are a plug and play r32 GTR computer. Use R32 GTR coilovers and not the GTST.
  23. If two is good three is better!
