  1. Sweet ok, where can I get one of these modules? I live in sydney. Any instructions you could give me would be really helpful. BTW cant send em back, cause the guy from nengun actually emailed me to ask me what series motor I had, he was too helpful, I couldnt shaft the bloke now. Umm EDIT : not running stock ECU am running EMS stinger.
  2. Thanks for your help
  3. Nah thats the thing thats different its not there on mine but is on my mates, just did a bit of browsing at http://www.perfectrun.com.au/performance%2...systemframe.htm, according to that i shoudld have the 005 coils, i have the 001's. Is there anyway I can change to an igniter pack to get them to work, i cant imagine the head ache of trying to send them back to Japan?
  4. Hey guys, I bought some spitfire ignition coils from nengun, gave them to my tuner to chuck in, and they fit just fine. Probelm is they dont fire, then with the terminals swapped over they just contiunously arc. I know there is different packs for S1 and S2 R33 Lines, but my car is definately a series 1, although the ignition setup looks different to my mates s1 93 model (mine is 95). Is there a way to find out FOR sure if my motor is a S1 or S2, (either visually or on the compliance plate?)and what are the odds of being able to make the coilpacks work in my motor if indeed is a S2. I bought the S1 packs. Any feed back greatly appreciated cheers.
  5. I think my thoughts are a little different to everyone else on this topic, I do however agree with many ideas and suggestions in relation to reducing the risk of these accidents. My thought is that (from all the accidents on the media) is that its a problem of total self control. If you cant manage to control yourself behind the wheel of the car then thats where the problem lies, all these accidents have occured at rediculous speeds, the drivers unless they are complete idiots know that the potential to kill themselves and/or others is there when they are going 100k's + over the speed limit, it doesnt take a genius to figure out that 100k's over the limit = some stupid and crazy stuff. If people learnt to control themselves (or more correctly their right foot) then a lot of these accidents wouldn't happen, as most of us would know however that it isnt just the younger drivers who do the stupid things, how many people here have had a medium to older aged person pull up next them in say a clubsport, monaro, whatever, and that person has had something to prove by giving it a boot full at the lights? I agree with power to weight restrictions on p platers, although I do feel sorry for alot of they guys/gals on their p's who are safe and capable drivers who wont risk their own or others lives, but road awareness and pure experience is also essential, and this only comes with time. But I believe that until cars come fitted with an 'anti dickhead' detector then these accidents will always occur. Drive safe and keep it for the track, prove it there not on the roads.
  6. Condolences to all families and friends involved in this terrible accident. A harsh reminder for the rest of us lucky enough to be alive to save it for the track. Rest in peace.
  7. I ran a 13.6 with 155rwkw in my R33 gtst, the turbo wouldnt hold boost, and the clutch was slipping, this was at WSID, if I had a scanner I would post it for you. Come to think of it I ran the 13.6 with only 3in zorst from turbo, and EMS stinger, bleed valve set for 15psi.
  8. * Erm Antonio is coming too, but hes having problems logging in, so put him down too duncan.
  9. Count me in, see you at homebush @ 8.45
  10. Hey guys, Went on the Team Dream cruise yesterday to Nowra, from Nowra headed to Batemans bay too meet a friend, long of the short is, I had to fill up at batemans, used Caltex Vortex as it was the best fuel I could get as I had SFA left in the tank, problem being the car pinged like hell on anything over 7psi on the way home, I figured bad fuel so called my mate behind me running a powerFC and he said his knock sensor was fine. The air outside was very cold (not sure on temp), I run a EMS stinger but the car was fine on the way in, was it bad fuel, the cool air, or do I need a tune? Would cold air affect a tune that much? Ie the car was tuned at 25degC ambient, and the air on the way home im guessing was around 12degC? Thanks in advance
  11. Soz dude, but the blacktown maccas is a 3min drive for me, as opposed to the 45minute drive to hoxton park, b'town maccas is just too easy for me.
  12. Yeah Matt, this cruise is open for all, its on the hot4's forums, check VFR 600's first post to have a squiz.
  13. See you at the blacktown Maccas, will have 2 other lines with me, hopefully few others, need to convince them.
  14. the fuse is in the boot, next to your battery, cant remember which one, so check em all.
  15. Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly are Poncams? This setup is something that im going to be looking at, as I dont particularly want to rebuild the motor with forgies/rods/crank if I can avoid it. I was told at unique autosports that I wouldnt want to go anywhere over 230rwkw with stock internals, from your experience SK can you please tell me what you think the safe level of an rb25 is, the number in my head is 250rwkw ive got 215 atm with: Trust FMIC, EMS stinger, Blitz boost controller, 3in exhaust including dump (not split though), GCG High flow, SARD fuel reg. My injectors are maxed out. * The car is an R33 with 80k on the clock. Motor is apparently healthy with good compression. Thanks for your help
  16. Your sending your car from the gold coast to GCG for a highflo??? Or is there a GCG there, or am i just missing something??
  17. I dare say with a good motor setup like you have, with a stock (good condition) turbo you will make 200rwkw anywayz good luck, but if i was you, id buy another stocker, and save my bucks for the big fker
  18. Hey dude, I gotta GCG highflo on my R33, it spools up nicely, I cant tell you what power to expect out of it yet as my injectors are maxed atm, with 215rwkw. The highflow I guess would be a good choice, except like you said you are gonna change to a bigger setup eventually, why not just by another stockers turbo and save the extra bucks you would spend on a highflow on your bigger setup?
  19. 215 after a few issues with my ghey tpiece boost controller, boost curve was all over the place, still trying to find someone who knows how to configure the blitz spec S controller (anyone??) And to top it all off they didnt even put me in that list!! P.S Duncan Antonio says hurry up with those joining packs
  20. Aww gee thanx for the mention...
  21. thats true, ill be getting 550's and a set of coil packs inside a few months, I thought the fuel reg was required, but obviously not..
  22. hey, I run a sard fuel reg (from unique autosports and adaptor for an r33) and my injectors maxed out at 215Rwkw, but my tuner rekons the sard reg is a champion, as he normally installs malpassi...
  23. Hmmm I bought a cooler (greddy) a few months back, for my R33 and I was told that TRUST is GREDDY (can anyone confirm?). But my cooler doesnt have a print on it, the only way to tell is the GREDDY sticker on the piping....
  24. If youve got fuel than its definetly a spark problem, check your plugs even though they are new because if its been flooded and the workshop dudes kept cranking it then theyll be fouled, if that doesnt work test your coils, I had this problem a few weeks ago, too much fuel going in with the cold start fuel map...Good luck.
  25. Haha thanks mate, didnt want to sound impatient, but was a bit worried that the bloke who faxed em for us may have sent them to the wrong number
