probly because viscous fans are cheaper, on the holden V8's you ditch the viscous fan and run ford thermos when ya get the motor pumpin n jumpin

MAP sensor for sure ur running an ATMO BOV so the atmo realise will confuse the computer n will play wid ur mixtures if running a AFM....

what washer? n recap, have driven it a bit and it seems to have worn in when slappin 3rd i jus make sure i shift in a diagnal fashon to be safe short shifter rocks 2 btw, stand shifter i wouldnt use on a $50 go-kart

drive it home man, jus remember that when it gets loud enuf that u cant hear anything else to hit the left hand lane and prepare 2 pull ova, hopefully ul get it home tho, spend the money u were gona spend on a towie 2wards a second hand motor, for $1200 ur back on the road, n depending what u get with the new motor u can sell unwanted bits off 2 recoop funds.

maybe adding the extra wire has induced a voltage change in the temp sensor wire, best thing to do would be dissconnect it and see if its still ur problem, if so jus get another temp sensor n get 1 of thost adaptors u put in ur radiator hose n use that instead.. jus 4 my curiosity why bother connectin a temp sensor up? u have one on the dash....

i jus connected mine up to the line that goes between the intake manifold and the nipple on the BOV, seems to work ok...

twin turbo kit 4 5k... come with el cheapo ebay turbos and PCV piping? value for money power wise on a XR8 u have the Powerdyne kit, $4000 blower kit $1500-2000 exhaust $750 flash tuner (not 2 mention all the other nasties suprises ul run in2 along the way) <-- clutch =$6250-6750 for roundabout 270kw@rears http://www.capa.com.au/kits_ford_ba_xr8.htm but aint XR6T's making that sort of power wid jus: $500 exhaust $750 flash tuner $500 FMIC $100 pod $20 boost controller on 12PSI Total =$1870 and u can do all that quiet easyily with minimal tools in your back yard.... and pull off once again just as quick but some would say the roar of a V8 is worth the coin (like me) but ford V8's sound shit compared to holdens so XR6T it is! if u do end up with a BA or higher jus keep a tow truck card in the centre console becuase they have a problem with there diffs.... and stay away from the 5speed its rubbish!
