  1. Yes it was. The old man had a ball all day, even gave Dereck a little scare which was quite amusing. He was getting some good attitude by the end of the day too which was jolly exciting.
  2. Thanks TURISMO, but don't go out of your way. If it was gonna be nice and handy I would like to test it out for 5 min or so. I've already spoken with the guys who make them and have been placed on the mailing list for the next batch, but would have liked to try one before hand. If you're gonna be in the area it would be sweet, but like I said, don't go out of your way for it. Appreciate the offer though.
  3. Take the child restraints out, remove the cover over the rear wiper motor (gently pull it towards the front of the car, it's just clipped in. The speaker covers are attached to the parcel shelf from the bottom, they do not need to be removed. The 'C' pillar plastic garnish has a tab that protrudes through into the parcel shelf so it will not slide forwards. Flex the parcel shelf up in the middle so that the edges can bend enough to clear the tab. The shelf is quite flexible, be careful and gentle. Once its out it will all become clear, the first time i did this took forever. Just take your time and don't force things too much. Here is the DIY on rear shock install on R33 gtr, its they same deal with the GTS-t's http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...hl=parcel+shelf
  4. Can't be bothered making a new topic again. Are any of the usual suspects heading out to the pan tomorrow, 31st January? Just wondering if you are, and you're one of the lads with a "ECUTalk Consult," if you'd be willing to bring it along and let me try it on my r33. If you're not coming out or you can't be bothered removing it from your car it's no big deal, but if you're there and it's convenient and your willing to I'd like to give it a try. Cheers, Rob.
  5. Make an offer. If not sold soon they will be scrapped.
  6. Greetings all, I'm chasing a pair of 17 inch by 8 inch 5x114.3 rims to use as track wheels. Must be in round and provide a good seal and no cracks. Must fit and clear R33 gts-t front brakes without the need for a spacer. Other than that I don't care about style, colour, chips and scratches etc. Prefer rim only but if they're wrapped in something let me know. Must be willing to ship (at my expense of course) as I live in the middle of nowhere. Chasing a pair only, on a limited budget, however if you have an appropriate set of 4 at the right price let me know. Contact here or via PM, Regards, RobM-z
  7. Ok, it might just be me, but the first time I saw this I could have sworn that the liner had a cheese cutter (space saver spare) on the rear right hand side wheel.
  8. Item R33 gts-t standard springs, front and rear. Location Canberra Price $80 o.n.o Comments Selling due to an upgrade. Removed from a 1995 r33 gts-t. Springs are still in good condition, replaced due to shock and spring upgrade. Will post at buyers expense. P.M for further details.
  9. What gets me wound up? Working in a shift work environment where you work 9 to 5 for 7 days straight, but the wrong end of 9 to 5 (as in 9pm to 5am), walking out to the shed to get in the car to bolt off to work, and finding, lucky me, I've got a flat tyre. This is about the coolest thing since herpes!
  10. Thanks lads for a great day, it was great to finally meet some of you and put a few faces to names. There was some truly standout cars today from our ranks and other factions, fantastic to see a strong turn out even in less than appropriate conditions. Until the next time we meet, Rob Mz
  11. Well I'm going to tread hijack a little here cause I can't be bothered making a new topic. The Skidpan day was a damn good giggle today. Thanks to Dereck and all the lads that came out for a spin. For those of you who were their (you know who you are) send me a PM and I'll link you to some of the photos I took. Don't really want to publicly post them without your permission. See everyone at the next day, and remember . . . keep your chin up! RobMz
  12. Greetings all, I flail around the forums from time to time but have never actually met any of you guys and gals. This sounds like a good opportunity to do such. So if you'll have me and my apparently "shunned" 33 gts-t I'd love to join in

  15. Greetings, I don't live near the area but I do live in NSW and the NRMA still exists here. Check out http://www.nrmacarwise.com.au/ that check is more a paper based check I believe i.e REV's etc. However they still do a vehicle inspection at approved NRMA repairers.
  16. Have you thought about a front facing plenum. You know the Greedy style ones. Not sure if that'll give you the 'response' your after, just a thought.
  17. Hey Viper (Ha, now all i can think about is that Gladiator with blue hair . . . don't pretend you don't know who I'm talking about), Thought I'd drop in a few questions to help promote discussion. You say you want reliability, in what capacity? Do you want another 100 - 200 thousand k's out of her, or do you want just want to stop blowing turbos (i suppose ideally you want both). What do you want to do with the car, is it to remain your daily turn key car that will get you everywhere and back, or a thrill day track thrasher. I guess what I'm getting at is do you want to enter into more motorsport events more regularly, and what types? Lastly, you know what hp you're sitting on now, what are you aiming for in the build? Do you want to future proof for bigger numbers later on? Lastly, take everything I say with a grain of salt as I thump around in a bog stocker, but if it were me I'd want to make sure I had a programmable ECU, your attempting to change a hell of a lot of things and a safe reliable tune = reliable and drivable. My 2 cents, keep us posted.
  18. What gets me wound up? Driving round Canberra at 5 am in the god damn morning after just knocking off work, and having a Canberra local try to install themselves as the latest mod to the engine bay. I'm heading north on the federal highway just before the horse park turn off when this fluffy piece of Australiana appears in roo form on the side of the road, I must have startled the bastard cause he decides to take off across the road right in front of me. Now I know roos are god damn everywhere around here so I'm always wary but never the less I dive on the anchors and thank the son of rajab the car pulls up in time . . . or so I thought. Even though I'm stopped the mongrel at full flight face plants it into the left front fender. He hit it so hard that it knocked him cold. Long enough for me to get out of the car (which is now parked across two lanes of highway) and run around the back of the car. Not really sure what I was gonna do when I got there but the stupid thing got up and very tentatively nicked off into the bush. A.C.T roo 1, front fender . . . well, I'll be seeing it in hell in a few years time. *** END RANT ***
  19. Thanks Rianto, the whole kettle of fish arrived today, looking forward to getting them on.
  20. The original has a C clip that clips around the top of the pedal with a saftey that then wraps around behind the metal down rod. The UAS has the exact same clip and as far as I can tell they're not resuable. Both the original and the UAS is a single unit with the clip moulded into it.
  21. That was probably me. I was cutting around there about that time. Sorry totally didn't see you if it was me. I should introduce myself to the A.C.T crew sometime, but you know . . . effort.
