  1. i will change the dumps while im at it..... do they bolt up the same tho as the stock turbos?
  2. thinking about a pair of these turbos to replace the stock units.... and still be able to use the stock cooler inj fuel pump ect to push it up to around 300kw atrws what to guys think? and at $2600 is that the hole kit? gaskits ect every thing you need to bolt them on? will my stock dump pipes bolt on?

  5. well cp pistions rev rods ect....i never built the motor....was rebuilt 15000 ago or so and was ment to have a new oil pump then! but it looks like a old one! and all the bolts were finger tight in the pump.... and one was about to fall out! along with other things missing and things done wrong or not done at all like decking the block!!!! glad i have pulled it out now tho and every thing will be done right! dam i miss driving it all ready tho

  7. i need a new oil pump... is a n1 pump the way to go? thats what most people have told me to do so far.... is $500 ok for one?

  10. gave nissan a call today $610 my engine builder said to just go with that over after markit...long as nissan will have them in stock...

  12. are they worth changing? i thought they looked ok and pretty large for stock?
  13. how much are the nissan ones worth? are the after market ones fine? ill be running a acl metal head gaskit...
  14. also only has the stock dump pipes on the stock turbos are they worth changing? didnt look to bad for stock i thought....if so who make bolt on replace ment ones? and what kind of head gaskit should i run? how good are stock ones for? it has had a bigger metal one in it...it has cp pistions rods ect all ready, do the cp pistions raise the comp at all? thanks in advance steve any one?
  15. its all out now... so far its looking like its just starting to spin the big end on number 6 it went in today to get looked at rebuilt ect..... im going to do the clutch while its out and machine the fly wheel... just to be safe, has a few hot spots and is a little worn...save pulling it out later on also only has the stock dump pipes on the stock turbos are they worth changing? didnt look to bad for stock i thought....if so who make bolt on replace ment ones? and what kind of head gaskit should i run? how good are stock ones for? it has had a bigger metal one in it...it has cp pistions rods ect all ready, do the cp pistions raise the comp at all? thanks in advance steve
  16. you will get aust warranty from your work shop! off ebay you wont i looked into this...so its worth the extra money to me....
  17. motor is coming out hmmmm......let you know what we find when we open her up
  18. if it is a bearing it will be getting pulled out and fully cleaned ect
  19. its getting looked at tomorrow its getting a flush and oil change and filter... keep you posted

  22. could it be a dirty lifter? guy i was talking to at a work shop thinks it will be just that.... and a oild change and filter should fix it.... sounds to good to be true but i did start it today cold and it had the rattle then... after a couple of seconds went away and wouldnt do it till i slowly held the throttle till it got up to around 3500 4000rpm? befor it had the rattle again.....
  23. yes so have i thats why i asked.....it has cp pistions and a baffled sump ect all ready and light weight rods im not sure what type of bearings were used tho any ideas on how to tell?
  24. mine on the gtr is just a chip like said befor and runs very rich 10s and dipping as well
  25. ok thats fine.... just wanted to find out first as i have never worked on a rb26 befor motor has only been rebuilt not long ago.... it got low on oil and now has the knock at around 3 4000 ill get some one to do all the work and check every thing might be time for the bigger turbos at the same time
