  1. Is it the same as an RB20 as I am modifing one of those that you could copy. I got the full inlet and exhaust manifolds from Jaustech.
  2. Makes top power at about 6k im guessing with the turbos running out of puff, good result though.
  3. Thanks man, that is very similar to mine, .6 exhaust and compressor housing. I think i will stick to the 550's hopefully they will be fine. I hope to have my car done by the four six and rotor nats here next year in feburary, hope to run a 12 just like everyone else.
  4. What did the injectors cost you as I am going to get series5 ones. Do you know the specs of the turbo, compressor/exhaust housing size, wheel sizes to compare to my T04e. Was this the same dyno as you original post because it does seen low compared to other results for both setups
  5. I will run RX7 injectors, internals are supposed to be good for 250rwkw, i would likr to get 230rwkw and will run up to 18psi for the steet. Mine is a TO4e as well, its the smallest fo the T04's they make and is not that big compared to the others. Once I have everythink runnikng i will probably get another engine built a bit stronger depending on how it runs. Metal head gaskets are not required as much on RB20's due to their lower compression and it it is tuned right with no detonation it should be fine, hopefully.

  7. Do you know what specs your T04 is adam 32, i have one and are hopping to make well over 200rwkw with about 18psi, I was worried about the lag but if yours is at full boost by 4k it dosent sound to bad.
  8. I am going to get a tube and fin core from PWR in queensland, a 600x300x75 core is only $585, then I just need to fabricate some end tanks, many people use these cores to great success. I hope by using a big tube and fin core The cooling will be as effective as a bar and plate core with less restriction.
  9. I have worn my stock LSD out, it spins one wheel sometimes. Will probably get a mechanical one soon they are supposed to be a lot better but a bit noisy.
  10. What injectors are you going to run, I will be getting S5 RX7 ones shortly, would like to fit somethink a little smaller but. What turbo are you running?

  12. Im running NGK iridiums, i may change these when I do my other mods but at the moment they are doing good after being in for a year. I ran iridiums as the go-kart motors we race are succeptable to fouling plugs and running iridiums we dont foul them so i thought id run them in the skyline. You should be able to find a 2530, just save some cash and keep looking, you will find one just hoprfully for the right price.

  15. I got my hks T04e for $400, but that was cheap and I will probably get it recod to be safe, then you will need an external gate, i found a brend new turbosmart one for $470. For the manifold i made a block that got welded to the original to mount the turbo and wastegate to, cost $200 just to have it welded and the manifold need to be faced so it is flat when you bolt it to the block. So far it has cost me under $1100 which will hopefully put out 230rwkw when it all goes on at the end of the year, i will post some pics of the manifold when i have time to figure out how to do it.

Yeah i have thought about that aswell, but most manifolds enter at one end, if you think about it the two cylinders directly in front of the throttle body will get more air than the two one either end with it in the stock location. Its under pressure so i think it is less important than on a n/a engine. There have been plenty who have had them modified so i guess i will fing out if it works when i put it on.

I have some bits of my car im taking off as I have sold my cooler and will put it back to standard untill the new turbo goes on, i dont want to sell interstate so i though i would post here, i have 3'' front pipe with large high flow cat converter $350 Turbo XS BOV with adapter plum back $275 A brand new RUSH filter to suit SR20 $150 (rrp $250)

  20. Thats just a bleed, im just going to use a t piece and put a small screw for the bleed. Its not very hard to modify if you are game, just cut the block off and weld a 2.5'' pipe to it with a plate for the throttle body. Hopefully it should work well, i will put mine on at the end of the year.
  21. You could just get the stock plenum modified to move the throttle body to the front, this is not to difficult to do as I have done it with mine I just havent put it on yet. Only takes a couple of hours a cutting then it just need to be tig welded and a new throttle cable.
  22. How did the person who won the konica drive go?, the others dont really lead anywhere but would be fun to do. I dont think you would get the best equipment, personnel etc which dosent matter for the one make series but would make a big difference in konica. I heard all bad stories about the guy who won a formula ford drive through the kartstars and a free drive cost him a fortune.

Ive seen that advertised in autoaction and talked about it with other people who race karts, is seens a bit dodgy to me, think about it there are so many things that affect lap times temp, tyres etc and also if you have raced/driven a particular type of car you are abviously going to be quicker that someone who steps in even if they are a better driver. Bit of a gamble to me.
