  1. You will need to change the hubs and brake discs to 5 stud ones, I dint know if they will go on or not and if the driveshafts will bolt up to the rear ones.
  2. I buy whiteline stuff at trade prices, all my stuff cost about $600, so If you cant get a good deal let me know.
  3. Yeah I have a full whiteline kit on my 32. I have bilstein shocks with rsr springs which are not vey stiff but the car still handled very well, once I put all the other stuff on it made the car a little stiffer but made it stick to the road a lot better, into, through and out of corners. When I did mine though I changed front and rear swaybars, front castor rod bushes to increase caster, all the rear bushes inluding upper control arms with offset bushes to reduce neg camber and lower control arms with normal bushes. I also used the urethane diff rings. I would probably do this at the same time as they are not that expensive.
  4. You must have hit really hard for 8k of damage, did it bend the chassis, cant do too much damage in the rear end, all the bits just bolt on to the subframe.
  5. 8k, barley worth fixing, just sell it in parts, i certainly know I wouldnt want to be driving a car that has had that much damage. What parts were damaged?
  6. shouldnt be too hard if the kit is well made, I make pipes on cars here and that can get a bit trickey. All you should have to do is take off the old cooler, cut a 3'' hole under the washer bottle, and everything should bolt up. But the trimming can be a bit trickey and yes it is easy to make a mistake when doing it, but if it is done streight it shouldnt be noticable. Somewhere between changing the clutch and doing oil change.
  7. What are they charging to do the computer?
  8. Joel can you still get the 2540, i think it would be good and not that laggy, but i have heard from a few people that the vg30 is laggy. I got a turbosmart external wastegate today, $470, and its brand new, bargain.
  9. I have a big front mount with piping but someone already wants it. I could do you a good price on piping when you want to do it. I have a full 3'' exhaust from the dump back with a big cat and stainless muffler, as well a new pod filter with stainless adapter and a bleed valve. I was thinking about selling these as I will have to remake parts when i fit new turbs and inlet manifold. Let me know if you want to have a look, probably wont be on the cruise but.
  10. doglet, what are you looking at gettin done as I make a few bits for skylines and am also selling some dtuff off my car as I am changing lots of things shortly. Dont know if i will make the cruse yet, have 2 weeks of uni work to do in three days.
  11. Just switch the key to on and the pump will pressurise the line, you should be able to heart the pump work then stop, then you can start the car. The new pump will have more pressure so when the other would not pump enough at high revs this one will be consistent, get it remapped and it will be fine.
  12. Or even a cheap new turbosmart or similar.
  13. sorry will be in coffs harbour, catch everyone at the end of the month.
  14. where go you live turbogtst, im sure you could get plenty of work reprogramming computers.
  15. It is not that hard, the only modification you need to do to the mount bracket is to shorten one metal tube, you just hold the new pump on with a big hose clamp. You will need a fitting to go into the pump the same size of the hose id, and I machined a fitting for the bottom of the pump that the stock filter pushed onto. The 044 only justs fits into a 32(I mean by like 5mm) so you should have no problem with the smaller ones. If you do other mods on your car and are not afraid of having a go there is no reason you cant do it yourself.
  16. There is a dearler here trying to sell 2 for 50odd, and these are brand new, about 5k on the clock on they have been there for a couple of years. Generally the sell for 40 in the yards, my old man has one he got 12months ago for 40. Some sell privately for under 40k. They will probably drop to low 30s in a couple of years i think.
  17. I made a 044 pump fit in the stock bracket and it is the biggest pump they make. You have to moddify the bracket a bit and it only justs fits. Have a look at the 040 i think it is, it is a little smaller and is designed to be mounted in tank as it has the filter in the bottom of the pump, good for 400hp easy. The 044 requires the sock filter off the stock pump to be fitted to it. Get the biggest one you can afford to fit as you will be sure it will do the job, only paid $400 for the 044 so shop around to find a good deal.
  18. Yeah should pay between 35-40,000, should get agood one with a few mods, wheels ect for 40,000. The 34 is a lot better car than the 33 in every way, nicer inside, looks much better (nearly as good as the 32) and is a little faster.
  19. The computer on a RB20 can be reprogrammed to suit the new turbo and other mods, if you dont you will probably have problems and only run a small amount off boost.
  20. What sort of tyres are you running on the 33, sounds like it just doesnt get of the line where as you probably just dump it on the 34, a real fast time too considering the minimal mods, well done. Where did you end up going and who takes your car and whats the cost? The only reason I ask is that we build the tilt slide boddies they use on pickup trucks and we have a truck that sits around doing nothing most of the time.
  21. maybe, where are you going?
  22. Joel I have thought about it before as I want to race something I little bigger (currently race karts) but many classes dont allow imports Club cars for example, but I will be looking into it more ance I have finished my car at the end of the year.
  23. I picked up a second Hand HKS t04e for $400, and just need an external wastegate, even if it needs a reco that anly costs about 700. The manifold modification is not too hard if you have the right tools, I am macking a steel block that will get welded to the std manifold, and the gate and turbo will bolt to this. You could probably gat something similar made for about $400.
  24. Yeah the blitz ones are supposed to be the best at controlling boost. I was going to get a dual sbc but then I got my turbo and will have an external gate, so I will set it and forget. John with the gtrs is trying to sell one, while they dont ahve all the fancy functions they give accurate boost control.
  25. cant see why it wouldnt be any good, most aftermarket cores are good. Who are you getting to do the piping?
