  1. Just trying to find some coilover suspension for a DR30 skyline 2 door.
  2. We just like running the rotax because it has only one pipe, carby, airbox and it goes all year with out a rebuild.
  3. At least you know that there will be no problems with a new turbo and you still have your old turbo to sell, keep whatever. There is not much to change to get it to fit, just need to mod the water lines to the turbo and the adapter for the manifold.
  4. I race karts too and would have to agree, you can spend as little or as much as you want and have a lot of fun. Just to give you an indication of costs you will need a : liscence about $180 join a club not sure in nsw but about $250 race suit, boots, gloves, helmet about 1000-1500 depending if you want good stuff or not a second hand kart with kt100s about $2500 for a decent competitive kart tyres are about $200 and should last 3 meetings oil is about $17 a litre and will do 2 meetings then you need sprockets, plugs, brake pads, chains etc but dont wear that much a couple of engine rebuils a year about 3-500 You can race for very little, if you are an a real budget get a j, dont wear out tyres or motors but are a little slow, will feel fast to begin with though. But you can spend lots if you get serious and want to win at big meetings. Peakrpm what class do you race in? I have a rotax.
  5. sometime you get lucky I suppose, my stock turbo at 15psi for about 12 months with some very hard driving at 4-6000rpm consistently with no probs, yet.
  6. go the 2530, both are new bb turbos and will be better designed than the std turbo, you would probably find there is very little difference between the turbos, does the 2530 have a bigger exhaust or compressor housing? The little extra lag will help you get traction when you take off. wouldnt want to change the thing then find the last few rpm are a waste of time as the turbo is out of breath. Or maybe just go the 2510 then with my new turbo I can smoke you in the top end real easy.
  7. I think my new rotors are the same as a 300zx, they are 30mm thick and they have the min thickness of 28mm stampted on them.
  8. I think you can get the iridiums in different gaps, have then in my car with a smaller gap and no probs running 15psi.
  9. whiteline sell the rings and they retail for 110 i can get them for about $70, not sure if they stop axle tramp though will try tomorrow,
  10. I put some racebrakes ones in on friday along with some slotted rotors and it stops a lot better than the ultimates i had with no fade after chasing a 34 gtr in the hills, cant comment on dust yet
  11. yeah I got about 1psi extra when I put mine on.
  12. thats what I thought joel, will be looking for a cheap external gate and some 550cc injectors over the next few months. Hows the new front pipe Rob?
  13. Joel got myself I turbo yesterday will be doing the opposite to what you are doing though, its a hks t04e and will need an external gate and is not ball bearing so it will be a bit laggy though want to pull 220-230 at the wheels see how it goes in a few months only cost 400 so its worth a try.
  14. you loosten it off and fit the bar to the car with the weight on the wheels, tighten the nuts on the strut tops and then tighten the adjustment up.

I can do it this weekend if you like mate, probably saturday would be best just have to get a few parts so let me know if you want to do it. A high flow cat would get better results or none at all if you are game. Yeah I could do a full exhast would have to work out a price though I mainly just do the pipe work so if you got a muffler I could fit the lot, may be worth looking for a second hand system from an importer it would be cheaper, i can only do it in mild steel as well stainless costs to much My mobile number is 0418815974

I havent done a dump pipe for a internal wastegate turbo yet so as much as I know I could do it i would want to do it on my car first so I can figure out what to do as it is a bit tricky. If you find one I could fit it but they are about 300 alone, what other mods do you plan on doing as there would be little gains from it as it is not too restrictive.
  17. Japanese Mororsport here in adelaide have what I beleve is a bomex front bar for a 32 give them a buzz

the dump pipe is may be worth doing but costs lots more, the front pipe gave me about 1psi gain in boost and felt alot better,I can do it on the weekend for you, the workshop is in burton witch is off port waikfield road about 10 mins before you get to air drag strip. The high flow cat is 3'' in size and is bigger about 300mm long a standard one would be alot smaller.
  19. just for the street, probably getting some off racebrakes as they make to suit your needs and are well priced
  20. Can people please post their recommendations/experiences with their brake pads. I have heard good bad things about greenstuff pads and currently have ultimates but are getting new slotted rotors and want better pads.

I can make a 3'' front pipe for you for about $150, they are a easy as to make and would be able to do it in about an hour if you brought the car to me at work, the dump pipe from the turbo is a lot harder to make and wont give much gains with stock turbo, a big cat is important also.
  22. I will hopefully be there on friday
  23. did anyone go to the drags? anythink interesting out there was going to go but unfortunatelly I was feeling a little hungover.
  24. I try and never go much below 1/8 tank because it is easy to starve to pump of fuel making it run lean and it also stuffs the pump as they are lubricated by the fuel.
  25. he damaged the cooler pipe, nooo anything but that beautiful intercooler pipe, oh well I happen to know someone who may be able to fix it.
