    Hey

Impressive. Maybe the counter parts are cheaper on insurance. Most skyliners I know of are around the 2.5k range and if you drives a GTR, it'll be more than 3k. Thats a very nice price for your age.
  2. Have a look at this. Same principle. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3....html&st=20
  3. As topic, please PM me with price and contact details or if you're not from Brisbane, let me know the price delivered. Stock AFMs are preferred over Z32s. Cheers.

    Hey

How old are you? If thats your first performance car, Just Car is pretty much the only insurer that will take you. And if you're below 25, I hope your pocket is deep enough... That aside, welcome to the forum. There's a stagea specific section and I'm sure you'll find lotsa useful information on them just as I did.
  5. Anyone knows if you'll need different spray paint for plastic??? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...Fr-t329230.html
  6. Because the head of the bolts/screws are all flatten by scrubbing. The masking/taping doesnt bother me and its what type of spray I should be using that makes me think.
  7. I'm hoping to restore the blackness of my front lip as show in the photo below. Because it seems like a pretty easy job, I've decided to do it myself instead of paying someone 250bucks to do it for me. What I have gathered is, 1) Sand the surface with a coarse wet/dry sandpaper (600-800?) 2) Sand the surface with smoother wet/dry sandpaper (1200-1500?) 3) Clean the surface with soap, water and prepsol 4) Use masking tape to cover up the line between frontbar and lip with 3 layers of newpaper covering the top of the frontbar. 5) Use a primer spray can on surface (can you spray the paint right after the primer or do you have to wait for it to dry up? I've read about flexaid for plastic, is this the same as primer?) 6) Use matt (flat) black spray can from a distance going from 1 corner to the other (taking note to spray "over the lip" at the start and end of spray pattern) Obviously this will be done on a normal day (not rainy) but does anyone know how long does it normally take for the spray paint to dry up? Also I'm thinking I MIGHT not need to spray it if the sandpaper can restore the blackness of the plastic. Last question is, any problem with spray painting on a plastic (need special type of spray?)? It'll be great if anyone that has done the same can comment. Thanks in advance.
  8. Dan's got that dB meter. Maybe ask him to get a reading for ya. I think he only charge like 10 or 15 bucks to test it.
  9. Welcome. Theres a gold coast thread under the QLD section. =D
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb....html&st=20 Something that's interesting to know.
  11. Nice... bookmarked! I'll do this when I get a new clutch. Mine crunch as well but only shifting at high RPM. I suppose I'll just have to baby it when I'm in that RPM range in the mean time.
  12. Yea man. I'll be there. Looks like I'll get a ride with drifty.
  13. Yea... havent seen them for awhile and only time I've seen him posting is on the spotted thread. Might have become a stalker....
  14. Welcome dude. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay and learn a lot from this forum as I have.
  15. Those wheel doesnt look like GTC Tristan. GTC has fatter spokes. Anyway you going drifting next Friday? I'll probably come have a look if you are. John: Hahaha... I havent been there for ages. Just thought of going there and get a couple of shots for the car. Afterall, I dont have a good camera nor is my camera skill any good. Colin: You running pod filters?
  16. Bravo! How bout some chicken parm next Thursday night? Hahaha. I wanna get some decent photos taken!
  17. Yea, if you've been making money. Anyway what I was trying to say is if you're on a fix income without any form of investment, your tax return is pretty straight forward.
  18. Sorry I've missed that bit. I suppose you cant really expect much unless you have investments. I got less than 100 last year!
  19. Black for mean look and white for the more sporty look. Having said that, if you're not one that washes the car often, dont bother with white because you'll need to wash them at least once every fortnight. Check Rays Gramlight 57d. Thats the most affordable Rays rim you can get and still look good.
  20. Mate, does the z32 come with plugs to suit direct plug in? And do you need a retune to accommodate the larger flow?
