  1. Wow! You're selling it already?! What are you getting next? Anyway OT, test drive all of them and feel for yourself. You probably wouldnt be pushing it THAT hard to notice the difference.
  2. How do you know thats even him in the photo? POS white car might be a lambo for all that matter.
  3. Well considering how much parts can cost in the 35gtr, the excess MIGHT not be as bad as you think. I know how bad Vic is and there nothing you can do about it. If Just Car quote is that, I doubt theres anyone else that will beat it (other than Shannon IF you can get them).
  4. Sound like a good cruise. Maybe the next time I'll join you guys since I'll be installing the suspension next weekend when I'm back in town.
  5. unfortunately I'm still on site during that time and wouldnt be back until the following thursday.
  6. Welcome aboard!
  7. If you wanna know just the power etc, just go for a dyno day and do a few power runs. Dyno tuning is only useful if you can tune the ecu (as the name suggested), or if you can remap your ecu. You're best to ask someone that's got knowledge on the 35gtr if you do own 1 as not many people know much about the mods available for the 35gtr. I would assume most ecu we're using (other gtrs) would not be compatible. Also, ask yourself why are you doing this? Is the car not fast enough for you? Are you planning to track it? If not, I wouldnt bother touching it since they're an awesome car from factory.
  8. G'day everyone! Dan: when are you back in town again?
  9. Welcome! Where are you from? A couple of us meet up for dinner on Thursday nights at market square whenever I'm back in town. Shoot me a PM if you're keen or you can just turn up at Baskin on every Thursday night at Chapel Hill.
  10. Yea it does blow black smoke. It shouldnt be hard to pick up the loose fitting. Try listening for the air "hssing" sound. Good luck!
  11. Too bad theres no smoke. Mine sort of have the same thing happened only that the bang was THAT loud and was blowing black smoke. Found out that the intercooler pipe (dont know if its the term for it but thats the black bit connected to the "twin turbo" pipe) was loose and came off. Tighten it and no issues after that.
  12. Heres my N1. Well, its not a MUST have but a good to have. For 12bucks I cant complain. Have a look at the picture and you'll find that the cup holder I posted actually can house a mobile phone in front too!
  13. I got one of this and keeps the drink cold too!
  14. All are nice and most people end up buying 33 over 32 mainly because of age. Like someone mentioned before the interior of the 32 is a huge turn off. And 33 is seriously the best value for money with the brembos, revised gearbox etc. Anyway I'm not a huge fan of the 33 to begin with but it grew in me after owning one.
  15. Done mine in Singapore (where I am from) for less than 3k for both eyes (with blade but some special treatment to allow for faster healing and better vision at night, meaning lesser orb effect). Doing this in Australia is very expensive and considering the number of people thats doing lasik in Singapore, it makes the surgeons here a lot more experience. My vision isnt perfect on my right eye (around 80) but overall I'm very happy with it since I done have to wear glasses anymore (used to be 550 on each eye). I would strongly recommend people to do it. My only advise is go in there with a gambling heart. You cant expect a perfect eye sight all the time because I agree that eye is 1 of the most complex organ in a human body and everyone is different.
  16. Cheers mate. Hopefully the squeaking isnt really bad... and also low dust is good since I have white rims... Hahaha
  17. Dont worry too much about it mate. I'm sure most of us thats in the group buy arent in a hurry to get them and like Fred said, so long as we get them in the end. Thanks for organizing the group buy.
  18. No idea man. Not THAT slow but I doubt its super fast. TPG is known for the cheap plans but not really for the speed. BTW, I just checked the plan, its 70GB/60GB not 60GB/60GB. Having a telstra line at $21/month.
  19. I'm pretty sure this will do the trick if my TI-R blew 92.5dB. They're one of the best sounding, good looking and quietest aftermarket exhaust for sure.
  20. Doesnt mean they dont have their own network they dont employ Australians. And for your info Optus isnt Australian owned too. +1 on coverage. If you dont need it why bother paying extra? At the end of the day, I started with TPG on the $49.99 for 25GB/25GB plan (last year) and now they've upgraded to 120GB (60GB/60GB?) for the same price. Cant complain.
  21. If you can provide proof (e.g. receipts or part number on the parts) to the whole car is stock from factory I'm pretty sure you will win the case. Else, it'll just be too hard. Especially old/imports, I doubt theres one thats truly stock. Those numbers are pretty surprising. I've got the TI-R on my 33GTR (only mod is catback, cat and pfc tuned to 250awkw) and its nowhere near 95dB or maybe it wasnt tested at 5100rpm. I might test it again just to confirm next time when I'm servicing the car.
  22. If you dont mind a slightly slower adsl2+, TPG is definitely the cheapest out there.
  23. Ok thats the first I've heard of and now I believe you. =P I know it make sense but I've never actually know anyone that's done that before (running same car on same dyno on awd and rwd mode). Now you make me wonder how does the other awd car fair on the same test since they're dont have the same awd system (e.g. evo, wrx etc). But then again, loss gonna be different for all anyway so no point in trying to dig the facts out.
