  1. Or better still, get a m-spec nur and throw in a pfc and boost controller. That will give you the best of both world + having a pedigree car.
  2. I hope my dream of owning a black 34 m-spec nur would stay with me... But then again by the time I can afford them, they might be too old and might have moved on from it. Maybe spending more money on the homeloan is more sensible. Everytime I see a thread like this just makes me jealous!
  3. Are you saying you've never done anything thats breaking the transport law at all? Anyway TS, good on you to have even slowed down or pulled over to let that scum overtake you. Many who drives an import wouldnt even think about that in the first place. So dont get too worried over it. It'll go away after awhile.
  4. Forgot, probably. Anyway its something that will steer you away unless you've got an engine rebuild lining up. I was shocked when he told me that because that car seems to be in good nick.
  5. Very good price but be sure to check it out yourself and also ask for the original dash cluster. Recently 1 of my friend was going to buy a white vspec 2 NUR, everything went well until he took it to ERD for inspection. Oil pressure reaction to boost is abnormal and after sending the oil for testing, high contain of carbon or some other shit (forgot) in the oil. Even though the car looks clean and considering its a NUR, you would expect people to take really good care of them but no... Anyway other than being a non-vspec, the price is really good.
  6. Snapped. Anyway whats the plan??? I'll be back next thursday for 4days! Any coffee at night or what (can be friday evening too)?
  7. Mate, I agree with everything you said but please read our comments properly as we did not suggest all 33gtrs below certain value (and at the time I was buying is around 25k, 1yr+ ago) are lemon but chances of getting a lemon is higher (and a lot of cases, owners of those cars dont know anything about the car and are cutting corners). I'm saying that because when I was hunting for mine, I had a look at 5 cars in QLD and out of the 5, 3 are crap (condition not very good or owner doesnt know anything about the car from talking to them), 1 is so-so and the other one is the one I got. Like Terry said, do all the checks you need and talk to the owner. Normally you'll be able to pick up useful info by just speaking with them. I've seen that on carsale before and it does look really good for someone that wants all work done. I'd definitely give that a go.
  8. There's a lot of info on this if you do a search (mostly on comparison of 32/33gtr or 33gtr to 34gtt etc). Anyway like any other imports, so long as you dont land yourself with a lemon, everything would be the same as any twin turbo cars. Personally I wouldnt bother much with cars below 23-25k because chance of getting a really good one is very low (not saying you shouldnt give them a go but the chances would be lower). There's plenty of 33gtrs in the market now but the price vary significantly (from as low as 18k? to 30k+). Theres a reason for this (either mods or condition of car). Test drive them and get them checked professionally. The 33gtr is my only car and dont see any issue with them being a daily. I havent done much to mine but so far, it hasnt given me any problem at all (own it for slightly more than 1year).
  9. f**k that shit. Too much mucking about for the 2 airbag and since I've found the solution to the other problem I have, I think I'll stick with my fat steering wheel for now. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wh...-N-t293221.html Thanks for all the reply guys.
  10. PM me with price and location please. Thanks.
  11. Mine's f**ked too. How did you go with it? Did you end up getting a new steering wheel? I'm thinking of either getting another series 1 wheel or the whole series 2 dash+wheel (if the airbag works, just for the missus). What if you buy the series 2 dash with the series 2 wheel? Will that now work? I heard they work hand in hand but not 100% sure. The only other issue would be the loom.
  12. Damn... is it really that hard to have airbags and a slimmer steering wheel?!
  13. does the jack come with the steel rod for jacking up and wheel nut socket?
  14. I'll be keen if I'm in Brisbane for the coffee. Will be flying back to site this coming Tuesday though.
  15. G'day Guys, Anyone know if they're direct fit? I've got the series 1 dash cluster and steering wheel. Reason for changin is simple because of airbag. If the airbag doesnt work if you swap them, I wouldnt be doing it. Thanks in advance. Brandon
  16. ok... good luck with it! Hahaha. CF looks sick though
  17. Theres a southside meet at browns plain every wed. Baskin is along moggill road at chapel hill every thursday. Or join me and John for dinner/tea every now and then at market square! Fair enough but you know they're made plastic for a reason yah? I'm not having a go at you but dont carbon fibre crack too?
  18. Yes What happened to 33/34? Hot chocolate's a win there too. +1 on coffee is better than ice cream, especially winter is coming.
  19. FB was meant to be FG... Hahaha... I got slower timing too!
  20. Nice. And those 34 v-spec badge are a win. By the way, those lips are plastic (cheapo ones are FB which just crack when you hit them). Unless you're talking about kelvar diffusers at the bottom.
  21. I see what you did there. Anyway I'll be keen to meet up at Milton for a coffee if any of the uni boys are interested. Its been awhile since I've been for a some hot coffee.
  22. Give that man a break. Cyclone Ului maybe.
