  1. You'll probably see him on the road again soon... hahaha.
  2. Anyone keen tomorrow to do a run to baskin?
  3. +28173809789470264815071457. I'll never buy something that doesnt have turbo changed and properly modded (no cheapass corner cutting mods).
  4. Million dollar question... If you found something thats in very good condition, why would you be spending more? If something did break, of course it'll be more exp than a single turbo car. This applies to any twins. I dont have any issue with my 33gtr at all since buying it 1 year ago and running 250awkw now. You wouldnt be pushing 300awkw with stock gtr turbos at all. You'll be looking at 250awkw. As BNCR33 said, changing turbos is an expensive process. GT-SS will be around 3.5k, dumps will be 500 and labour will be easily 1k. Thats 5k all up excluding your ecu, boost controller etc... Maintenance wise it'll be the same as any other AWD cars if its mechanically A1.
  5. Personally I havent got experience with them at all to comment on wet/dry but my previous comment was based on talking to people who used them before. Your 2nd question is a million dollar question. Depending on how you drive and if you rotate your tyres at all. I know of someone that got more than 40,000km out of a 36 but that with rotation (still not bald yet). On the other hand, another friend with 36 only got 20,000km+ because he doesnt rotate and he track his car occasionally (bald).
  6. 36 for more grip and 31 for better wearing
  7. Talk to your tuner and most will tell you just go with PFC as the dejetro will take longer to tune and afm will generally give you better fuel consumption (dont know the details but 3 tuners told me this). But dejetro will be the way to go with you're after high power (in which AFM will be maxed out). 300awhp isnt 250awkw. It'll be close to 220awkw. 1 of my mates just tuned his 33GTR to 0.9bar and got slightly higher than 220awkw. In any case, you will see more than power figures when your car is professionally tuned by someone reputable (response being the main).
  8. Whats your budget to being with? Give Dan at ERD a call. His got bilstein/king kit for a good price. 38072789
  9. Hi there, I've been hearing this metal clinging sound (metal against metal) whenevery I'm driving on a uneven surface (bridges are good example due to those gaps inbetweens). This sound is very distinctive and comes from the driver's side. It should be somewhere around the steering or dash. Does anyone have the same problem? I remember when I was car hunting, there was a 33gtr that had the same sound only his was a lot louder. The owner didnt know what that was. I'm planning to open the dash up in the new couple of weeks to see if I can find anything. 1 of my friend that opens a garage said he's heard that sound on a couple of R33s before too but he doesnt know what the issue is or nobody ever asked him to resolve it. This thing doesnt affect any performance just a bit irritating if you know what I mean. Hope someone had the same issue before and found a solution. Thanks in advance. Brandon
  10. If you can go 275 just do it. Whats the point of running 255/275 anyway? Looks? I think being able to do tyre rotation with same size all round is more practical.

    Spit On Sunday

I know this might be abit late but anyone keen? Meet outside at Peter Fish Market before going in together. Propose meeting time around 1:30 - 2 tomorrow. Whoever's interested can just turn up. If you're worried about getting defected then I suggest you not go.
  12. Sound like a plan. How bout organizing a lil unofficial skyline meet there this sat? That time is good too cause I reckon they start setting up the defect station around 3-330. I'm actually back for 6days this time and only will be flying back to site on this coming wednesday!
  13. I'll take a set for 33GTR too. Thanks.
  14. Yea hopefully the weather does get better. On a second note, Clash of the Titans opens today!
  15. I'm in a sort of similiar situation... I have a series 1 33 GTR and thinking of getting the dash airbag for the passenger side. 1) Is it possible to replace the dash with a series 3 or even a gtst one? 2) What if the car doesnt have the wire loom for the sensor? 3) Is it a lot of f**king around (we had a bit of fun when putting a/c on the car initially and found out it doesnt have the a/c loom)? 4) What is required (e.g. dash, sensor, airbag etc)? Thanks all! Just wanna make sure before I fork out close to 1k only to find out it doesnt work.
  16. Top of the range? like a Nur, N1 or Z tune?
  17. I doubt hey. Remember, as much as everyone likes a bargain, when it comes to cars like these it more or less 90% you get what you paid for. I've seen countless example as such and I wouldnt wanna spend that kinda money betting on the 10%. During my hunt (sometime early last year), I've seen 3 33GTR below 28k and all 3 were crap (owners doesnt know shit about the car, bad cheapass mods etc). And I end up paying a bit more for the N1. Been driving for slightly more than a year and never have any issue with it except changing a CV boot.
  18. Let me know if you need a 33, I'll be back from site during that time. I'm sure you wouldnt have much problem with finding 32s.
  19. I might be there too. =P Gonna give dan a call and see if I need those bloody bushes. f**king hell... everytime I deeper to what I need, I find a bigger hole in my pocket.
