  9. WOah?! What was it fitted to originally?!
  10. Nice. I thought I was gonna have instant noodle but decided to take a gamble and drive down the valley for some Golden BBQ. Luckily theres street parking spots. f**k paying over $20 for parking! Well worth the trip!
  11. Looks like they've just invented their own language.
  12. Whats for lunch people?!
  13. Awesome thread. Its shit when those scambag target imports since we have more aftermarket parts which can be sold. But seriously its pretty lucky they didnt get the titanium bits as they'd cost a lot too! I'd love to restore my N1 someday but just dont think I will have the patience like you do. I hate to imagine how much rust will be on mine looking at yours. Arghhhh... Having the car under cover seems to help a lot as the bits which I kinda cleaned up are still fine after 3yrs. There's just some scratches on mine which I'm thinking of respraying myself. Whats your advise for someone that doesnt have much previous experience other than painting models (like gundams.... hahaha). I suppose you sand down the area and spary with the colour you want and sand again to blend the touch up area with the surrounding and clear coat after? This is at the rear quarter just above the wheel. BTW, hows perfect run compare to Streeter? PM if its more appropriate.
  14. I believe Rays has increased their rims price by over 50%. Not sure if the price escalation has been passed through to suppliers but the same set of rims now would have cost more than 3.5k imported. I remembered paying around 51k Yen each for the rim in 2011 and they're now 82k Yen each on Ray's website. The dollar has gone up significantly by 20-25% which is good for offseting the price escalation, but still be not enough to cover 50%!
  15. Budget plays a bit part mate. The cars listed above are done up well and will be worth your money. If MP is your criteria, EAT26 definitely,.
  16. Anyone tested recording at night?
  17. Its not just about how stiff the spring is, the shock/damper setting plays a big part. Did you check his damper setting on the coilovers? I dont think theres a lot of adjustability with the S-tune. Like I said in my previous post, the stiffest setting I got on the SS is even stiffer than the stock v-spec suspension (but really does handle better) and the softest is better than stock too. Big difference if you ask me. SS like a lot of others coilover have over 20 settings + its got height adjustable as well. Maybe the Bilstein setup is a better suspension setup but to each his own. The Bilstein/king spring setup used to be very popular due to cost and handling but cost isnt a factor now considering importing coilovers are so cheap these days. The stiffer here is not very noticable and as mentioned, a lot of suspension guys will tell you the same thing (Jap coilovers will be too stiff for Aus road). Personally I think they're fine and as far as stiffness goes, its not just about the spring, with coilover, you can adjust the damper setting.
  18. GB no.2 !!! I wasnt active for awhile and missed this one.
  19. Yea Dan's closed. Dan used to do majority of my mechanical work but Hi-Power's got my business now. Honest and easy to deal with. You might want to call Autotech and check because I recalled someone from another thread mentioned something about him and Matty Spry working together. He tuned mine ages ago and I didnt have another since.
  20. Maybe to others but the 2 I will bring mine to are both in Gold Coast. Gavin Wood or Matt Spry. Gavin's pretty well located as you can go for a walk around Harbour Town when he is tuning your car.
  21. Maybe off topic but for your budget, why not super street? I got mine from Streeter for less than 1.5k landed (seafreight) when the exchange rate was around 75yen or 80yen. It'll be around 1.2k easily with the stronger dollar. Fully adjustable. Stiffest damper is stiffer than my stock V-Spec suspension but softest is really comfortable. Perfect for street.
  22. This is 1 of the few times I wish I am drive my car. The other time will be when I was in the city in my wife's Beetle and getting the weird look from this guy in a V35.
  23. Becareful with the excess as I found out Justcar was hitting me 3 excesses for the past 2yrs I was with them. Car: 1995 R33 GTR V-Spec N1 Just Car Insured: $25k> (forgot) Type: Full Comprehensive Premium: approx $1000 PA Excess: $1500 (standard), $1000 (thief), $1000 (special vehicle) So if my car was stolen I'd have to fork out $3.5k for excess. I have no idea wtf is special vehicle excess. NRMA 1st Year Insured: approx $25k Type: Full Comprehensive Premium: approx $1100 PA Excess: $500 or $600, forgot (standard) NRMA 2st Year (quote for renewal) Insured: approx $20500 Type: Full Comprehensive Premium: approx $1250 PA Excess: $500 or $600, forgot (standard) Shannon (current) Insured: approx $30k Type: Full Comprehensive Premium: approx $1750 PA (paid monthly $145) Excess: $500 or $600, forgot (standard) Shannon doesnt even wannt touch me for the first 3yrs of ownership due to the car being my first car and my only car (even though our family got 2 cars in total). I end up paying more for premium because Shannon's a lot easier to deal with from reviews.
  24. No its with the ecu itself I think. Not much you can do about it. Apparently some people doesnt have it but most do, Some tried checking the earth/ground but doesnt really solve it issue. I have that issue too and its mostly during cruising. I was told by reputable tuners that it is common will not cause any issue.
  25. I think from memory it holds around 100 or 150 HP more than standard. Its states in the datasheet. You should be able to download online.
