Tommy Kaira. Its like evo's Tommy Makinen if you know what I mean (at least to me).
Just get someone to check it for you if you're a mechanical idiot like me... Hahaha.
Thats only if you bought a lemon. If so, the same applies to the GTT too.
Since my ownership, I have spend less than 1.5k on servicing. Thats including the 1k aircon fitting I've got.
Doesnt matter which one you end up getting, just make sure you're getting one thats of high quality.
Unless you've got aftermarket clutch (which you'll require after 300 - 400kw?), I find the stock 1 pretty soft and nice actually. FC really depends on how much you can control your right foot... it varies significantly.
Apexi Power FC is an aftermarket computer that has been around for ages.
I agree its got a lot lesser feature when comparing to the new ecus but I also agree with Ash on how many of those feature would you need as a day to day street car. The cost of tuning would be a lot cheaper as they're a lot easier. I just got told by a fellow qld sau-er that my tune was a lot cheaper than his (he's using dejetro). I was told the same thing by 2 other reputable tuners before this. Maybe the vipec would be cheaper?
The GTR is sorta like my only car but I dont drive to work. In terms of comfort, I think its actually quite good. And yes, the seats are very nice. I was told when a few of my friends sat on them, and not just the front, even the rear seats.
Hope the clutch will survive its first 7k launch with me. The last thing I want its for it to shit itself on my first launch since getting the car. I suppose if the clutch bites really well and no sign of wearing will mean its still in pretty good shape.
Yea... Thats bs. I'm totally against people doing something without letting the owner know about it and then charging them for it. Its like "hey, your motor's f**ked and we swapped it with another 1 we have. That'll be 5 grand please." BS!
I'll probably give that a miss.
If anyone's interested in Harrys tomorrow night, I'll probably be meeting Adam for some chicken schnitzel there. They're actually pretty good + you get to check out the cars that turn up.
Actually I find the gtt looks blend without kit. Sorta like S15. But I do agree they will look awesome with some money spent just on body kits.
Anyway, a GTR will provide a better platform for everything imo. You dont have to do much to get the power + its already fat enough.
o.O I only have stock clutch! I suppose it shouldnt kill it only with 1 limiter launch in a year.
Alright. Next question. Should I slowly release the clutch or dump it?
