  1. Mine has a crack from water gallery to headstud hole in-between 5&6... Sent it back together, been a year so far at 520kw and had no dramas yet .. I guess it all depends if you are prepared to do all that work to potentially do it all again 🤣
  2. Just after experience on how thicker shim/s to use ? Can't really be bothered with the trial and error way of pulling engine/ lowering subframe
  3. Hey everyone, does anyone have any experience shimming an n1 to get a little more pressure? Google search comes up with basically 1 thread about it.. the pump has billet gears and backing plate so kind of invested in this pump for now. Cheers 👍

  5. I was going to get the interlock barrel anyways but he said they now Include them in the gearset ?. Didn't ask about 5th other then 5th is helical.. and went for the 26t spline .. one thing I was sceptical of was he said needing a billet centre plate was a myth.. what's your thought on this?

  13. thanx for the replys... i managed to get onto a guy with the same conversion and yeah.. i have to get a rd28 tube and dipstick and apparently there is a bunged up hole at the back of the block for it? sump off job...
  14. not sure if its that simlpe... as its a rear sump now i suspect the dipstick it goin in too far and bending sideways a little along the edge of the sump.. it feels like it jams up a little about an inch from being all the way in... plenty of ppl have done this swap now so someone must have done something....
  15. bringing this back from the dead!!!.... does anybody know more info these days?? im goin through the same thing atm... 2.8 takes 6.5litres.. so i put about 6.7 in and still no registering on the dipstick... wat have other ppl done?
  16. the RD sump is the same as rwd RB sumps... i have a RD sump on a neo in a patrol

  19. farout how did i miss that thread like 5 down!?!?! hahah radiator cap was the first thing i tried, yeah its just a 13psi one 0.9kg... no swirl pot, just standard silvia overflow bottle... interesting about the head studs, he was having dramas with the rb25 headstuds.. has anybody else had issues with rb26 headbolts at this power level? thanks for the replies!
  20. since upgrading the e85 and -5's my engine has started throwing coolant out of the overflow bottle at high rpm.. i will upload a video and u can see the water coming from the overflow just before rev limiter which is set at 8800rpm.. i had a google and couldn't find anything... it has an rb30 waterpump... is that the "cavitation" problem people talk about? or does anybody suspect a head gasket / head bolts starting to fail?? as they are both standard... i will get a compression tester off my boss over the weekend to see if that shows anything..... i wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't though... as this only happens at high rpm..

  22. Been a few months so far and still goin strong!! RB26 S13 STANDARD R34 RB26 N1 oil pump -5's STANDARD R34 dump pipes into 2.75" front pipes to 3" exhaust 1400cc injectors wallbro 460 E85 509HP - 390 RWKW Best 1/4mile so far 11.0 at 135mph.. on about 480hp... still a rookie at drags haha http://youtu.be/J0y_oRPFPtg
